Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1961: Chapter 1954: The Tiger is About to Show Its Power

An Hao didn’t say a word and got into the car as soon as she opened the door. She immediately asked, ”How’s it going? I heard from the nurse that Mom called you. Are you busy right now? Where’s the child? Have you found out where they are?”

”Don’t worry. Chenyang is fine now. What Jiang Guixiang wants is not the child’s life; she wants money!” Qin Jian said in a deep voice.

”Did you meet her face-to-face?” An Hao asked anxiously.

”We did. She said we must come up with twenty thousand yuan now. She gave us one day; if we can’t get the money, she will harm the child.”

”Twenty thousand yuan in one day, she’s really crazy for money, why doesn’t she just rob a bank?” An Hao’s eyes were filled with tears, and she said through gritted teeth, ”Come on, take me to get the money. If it’s not enough, we’ll borrow some. No matter what, we have to bring Chenyang back today. Who knows what kind of hardships the child is suffering in her hands!”

”Mom has already gone to gather the money! Such a large amount can’t be withdrawn from the bank at the moment.”

”Go find An Ping. An Ping has more liquid funds.”

”Mom knows. Don’t worry. Let’s go to block Jiang Guixiang at her house first!” After Qin Jian finished speaking, he stepped on the gas pedal heavily, and the car shot out like an arrow.

.....................

In the rental room, Jiang Guixiang tightly held Chenyang, the child was squeezed so hard that he could barely breathe.

He twisted his small body in pain, occasionally opening his mouth to let out bursts of cries.

”I say, you crazy old woman! Why did you snatch her child too?” An Baoguo, still somewhat clear-headed, said, ”You’ve brought a tiger cub here, so isn’t the tiger going to get angry!”

An Hao’s fierceness was evident to everyone, and Jiang Guixiang’s actions forced An Hao into a corner, who knows what she might do.

”She’s desperate? So am I!” Jiang Guixiang’s anger hadn’t dissipated, ”If she doesn’t bring the twenty thousand yuan today, there’s no way she’s taking the little brat back home!”

”Why are you doing this? The doctor already said there’s no cure for my illness. Just let me die! Anyway, living one more day is just another day of pain.” An Baoguo sighed and said, ”You’ve kidnapped the child and are asking An Hao for money. Do you realize you’re doing something illegal? If they report it to the police, you’ll be thrown in jail.”

”Get thrown in jail, fine. By that time, you and your son can take the money and run, find another city, find a better hospital to treat you. When I come out of jail, we can reunite as a family,” Jiang Guixiang said.

”If I could live, do you think I wouldn’t want to? The doctor has already given me a death sentence, so please stop. Listen to me, give the child back to them,” An Baoguo said.

If the child is unharmed, An Hao probably wouldn’t pursue it.

”Old man, don’t say anything more, just listen to me!” Jiang Guixiang said with firm determination.

When they were young, she and An Baoguo always had a connection but no fate.

Their temperaments and personalities matched, and they found each other quite agreeable, so they ended up together.

But both of them were quite lazy, and their families were worried they wouldn’t be able to manage their future lives, so they insisted these two lazy people not be together.

Later, An Baoguo’s mother found him a wife, but the marriage didn’t last long.
