Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1899: Chapter 1900: Settling Accounts with Him

An Hao once told her that no matter how a couple quarrels, it’s never too much, but never embarrass a man in front of so many people.

So Gu Shuangshuang decided to settle the score with him properly when they were alone.

”Sister-in-law, are you just going to watch them, that pair of shameless lovers, being lovey-dovey in front of you?” Tian Niu’s image plummeted in the Second Sister’s eyes, so even the name changed.

”Second Sister, do you want your brother to not even be able to remain a soldier because of this?” Gu Shuangshuang said, holding back her anger.

”I hadn’t thought of that...”

”I know you’re kind to me. But I don’t want your brother to be wronged because of this scene. Let’s wait on the side and when your brother comes by himself, we’ll question him face to face.” Gu Shuangshuang clenched her fist hard. God knows how much she wanted to rush over and beat these two, but she held back.

”Okay, I’ll follow sister-in-law’s arrangements for everything.” Second Sister Tian took a deep breath.

She really hoped her brother hadn’t done anything wrong, otherwise, she wouldn’t let him off the hook first.

After chatting for a while, they looked back at Tian Niu and found that there was no one next to the wonton stall.

Tian Niu and Gan Tian had already disappeared, leaving only the wonton-seller aunt laughing and chatting with the people around, cleaning up the broken porcelain bowls.

”They ran off quite fast.” Second Sister Tian said angrily, ”Sister-in-law, you didn’t let me pull him out, and now neither of them is visible, we’re unfamiliar here, where do we find them?”

”Let’s not worry about anything else for now, let’s go eat something first. We’ll talk about other things later.” Gu Shuangshuang couldn’t afford to be angry now, she was so hungry that she was weak all over, she needed to fill her belly and feed Nannan.

”Alright.”

At the wonton stall, two bowls of steaming hot wontons were served on the long table.

The wonton-seller aunt greeted Gu Shuangshuang and Second Sister Tian warmly: ”Wontons are here, eat more, if the wonton soup is not enough, you can add more.”

”Thanks, aunt, your cooking skills are excellent!” Gu Shuangshuang praised with a thumbs-up while eating.

”Oh dear, girl, your words really make my heart sweet!” After lunchtime, there weren’t many people eating, so the aunt simply sat down, teasing the baby in Gu Shuangshuang’s arms, ”This little one is so cute! By the way, you’re not locals, are you?”

”Yes, we’re here to visit relatives.” Gu Shuangshuang said.

”Have you found your relatives?”

”No.”

”Which family are you looking for? I’m familiar here; I can help you ask around.” The aunt was very kind-hearted.

Gu Shuangshuang casually made up a name, and the aunt said she hadn’t heard of that person.

”You can’t find your relatives, and now there’s no return bus, what will you do tonight?”

Gu Shuangshuang put down her chopsticks and said, ”I’m a bit worried too, if worse comes to worse tonight, I plan to find a household in the village to stay, even if we pay some rent.”

”If that’s the case, why don’t you stay with me? I live alone, my children aren’t around, and I happen to have two rooms, I live in one, and you can share one.” The aunt said.

”That would be great, aunt! We’ll pay you rent.” Gu Shuangshuang said hurriedly.

”Alright, alright, that’s easy.” The aunt agreed readily.

In the evening, Gu Shuangshuang and Second Sister Tian went home with the aunt.
