Chapter 1861: Chapter 1861: A Woman with a Story

As she was turning away, she thought for a moment, then stopped and took out two hundred yuan from her bag to place on An Baoguo’s bedside: ”This money should help you get through for a while. If you want a good life, you need to strive and create it yourself.”

An Hao left, An Hui stood up and knelt in front of An Baoguo with a thud: ”Dad! I swear I’ll stop gambling. I’ll earn money properly to support you and mom!”

”Good, good child, get up. First, find a place to settle down, then look for a job. Once you earn some money, take mom and dad to a restaurant for a nice meal.”

It’s already the eighteenth day, Gan Tian has been eating and living with this woman called Hong Mei, worried that this woman might harm her, but later she found her worries were unnecessary.

Many times she wanted to ask this woman the purpose of kidnapping her, but the other party wouldn’t tell her at all.

During these days of living, she discovered a problem.

At first, she felt very unfamiliar with Hong Mei, but gradually, she found that Hong Mei was not as cold as when she first took her.

She started talking more, smiling more.

As the time they spent together lengthened, Gan Tian felt more attached to her, living with her gave Gan Tian a sense of looking in the mirror.

She didn’t know why this woman’s face looked so much like hers, but she knew that this woman must have a story.

”Gan Tian, come and eat.” With the sunset, candles were lit in the small wooden house in the mountains, Hong Mei returned from outside, carrying a lot of food.

”Compared to a while ago, today’s dinner seems to be more sumptuous.” Gan Tian set the table and sat down.

”Curious?” Hong Mei asked.

”Yes. Why? Why is today’s dinner so abundant?”

”You always have so many questions.” Hong Mei disdainfully responded, unwilling to answer.

”Right.” Gan Tian sat down, opened a paper bag, inside were still steaming buns, she took a bite, a sweet smile appeared on her face, ”So delicious. You should eat too!”

”Living without worries is truly great.” Hong Mei lit a cigarette, sat opposite Gan Tian and smoked slowly.

”What?” Gan Tian thought for a moment, then gently smiled, ”I asked you before, but you wouldn’t tell me about my background. You refuse to answer all of my questions! Since it’s like this, I won’t ask anymore. Since I’m here, I’ll just make peace with it!”

After all, she couldn’t escape.

”I’m here today to answer all your doubts. You can ask all the questions you have.” Hong Mei said.

”Really?” Gan Tian was slightly surprised, she put down the bun in her hand and asked, ”First thing, tell me why we have identical faces? What is the connection between us?”

”Did your brain get stupid? Identical faces, apart from being twins, do you think there could be any other possibility?” Hong Mei sneered.

”Twins? That’s impossible, I don’t have a twin sister. I only had a younger brother who died several years ago.” Gan Tian said very seriously.

”Why impossible? Maybe your mother didn’t tell you?” Hong Mei took a deep drag of her cigarette, slowly exhaling a cloud of smoke from her mouth, ”How about I tell you a sad story?”
