Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1860: Chapter 1860: Benevolence and Righteousness

”Then are you considering paying off the money for them?”

”No, I’m not. Since there’s no time limit and the interest won’t change, of course they have to pay it back themselves. This is their issue, I can’t interfere.” Once you interfere, it’s hard to get out.

”Alright. Talk to your second uncle about it. Though it’s high-interest debt, they borrowed the money from someone, and not paying it back doesn’t make sense anywhere.”

”Okay. Thanks, Dad!” An Hao’s chest felt relieved.

.........

Half a month later was the day An Shuchao was discharged from the hospital.

Early in the morning, An Hao arrived at the hospital to help him pack and handle the discharge procedures.

The house had been sold, and the An Family had nowhere to live in the village.

Picking him up from the hospital, An Hao could only let him stay in the city.

”Dad, I’ve packed your things for you. You’ve stayed in the hospital for so long, it’s time to get some fresh air.”

”Good girl, Dad always causes you trouble.” An Shuchao felt guilty towards his daughter, lowering his head as his eyes welled up.

”Let’s not talk about that. Wait for An Ping; he’ll come to pick you up to stay with him! It’ll be more convenient for you to be with him.” An Hao sat down and gently held her father’s hand, ”Dad, after going through this, it’s time to see things clearly.”

An Shuchao nodded.

She understood An Hao’s meaning, knowing what An Hao wished for him to do.

”That’s good.”

”An Hao! If you leave with your dad, what will happen to your second uncle and Huizi? Your second uncle is sick too!” Jiang Guixiang was very worried; as long as they were in the hospital, they had a place to stay, but once discharged, where would they live?

”Aunt, I’ve told you before. I’ve already handled your debt issue, but I also told you in advance, after the discharge, we’ll all go our separate ways. You haven’t made any plans for where to live?”

”We...” Jiang Guixiang sighed deeply, ”Forget it, forget it... I’ve seen through it. You’re really not planning to take care of us anymore. Even if we sleep on the streets and beg, we won’t need your help.”

An Hui has been quiet these days, curled up in a corner by himself, unsure of what he’s really thinking.

”Brother! I’m sorry to you.” An Baoguo noticed his elder brother has been very silent recently, hardly speaking a word. He knows the knot in his brother’s mind isn’t something that can be untied quickly.

”The remaining money, pay it back yourself! Baoguo, your brother has already given you everything he can.” An Shuchao said.

”Fine. I’ll repay the debt myself. Repay it myself!” An Baoguo couldn’t find any other excuses to let his brother pay for him. ”Brother, take care of yourself! I’ll be a good person in the future. I won’t make you worry! But, brother, please don’t treat your younger brother as a stranger, okay?”

”Mm.” An Shuchao nodded, feeling a pang of sadness in his heart.

”Alright, second uncle, with your acting skills you’d almost win an Oscar!” An Hao did not believe that a single fight could rid her second uncle of his lifelong bad habits.

”What Oscar?” An Ping walked in, just in time to hear An Hao’s comment.

”Nothing. Since you’re here, take dad downstairs! Take him to your place.” An Hao said.

”Alright. Let’s go then.”

As An Ping carried An Shuchao out first, An Hao followed closely with the luggage to leave.
