Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1455: Chapter 1455: Scram Kid

”What’s wrong?” Qin Jian stopped in his tracks and looked back at him.

”Have you not slept in hours?” Yan Ye asked, noticing his extremely exhausted eyes.

”I just slept,” Qin Jian stretched and expanded his chest, ”Indeed, when you’re extremely tired, the sleep is very sweet.”

How could Yan Ye not notice?

The fatigue still apparent on his face after just waking up proved that he did not get sufficient rest.

”Don’t push yourself too hard,” Yan Ye said as he reached into his chest pocket and pulled out an envelope, handing it to Qin Jian, ”Take a look, it’s for you.”

”From An Hao, given to you to give to me?” Qin Jian guessed instantly.

”Yes. She’s really worried about you. So, knowing I was coming, she asked me to bring a letter for you.” Having said this, Yan Ye turned to arrange some work. After taking a few steps, he stopped again, ”By the way, the last medical mishap has been resolved, Ma Mei was fired, and the hospital cleared An Hao’s name. She’ll continue her internship at the affiliated hospital. But don’t worry, she’ll definitely be able to stay and work at the affiliated hospital this time.”

”Thank you. To meet you is a blessing for An Hao!” Qin Jian quickly added, ”And for me too.”

”No problem. Read the letter quickly,” Yan Ye smiled and left.

Impatient, Qin Jian tore open the envelope, and out fell a photo, a family portrait taken during their child’s first-month celebration.

His face was filled with bliss, An Hao’s smile blossomed like a flower, both looking harmoniously beautiful.

He opened the letter, which was filled with an extensive narration, and before Qin Jian could start reading, a big hand from behind snatched it away.

He turned his head and saw the company commander showing his big white teeth, smiling broadly.

”Company commander, give the letter back to me,” Qin Jian’s face darkened.

This brat, really getting more disrespectful with age.

”Come on! Commander, consider how tough we have it here? We can’t see our families, not even hear their voices. Since the lady has sent a letter, why not read it to us? Let us hear the lady’s thoughts, think of it as the voice of all soldiers’ wives. It could be encouraging for us,” the company commander called out to the soldiers who had just rotated off duty, ”What do you say, everyone?”

”Yes! Yes! Yes!” The soldiers on the scene erupted.

At that moment, Tian Niu rushed over and kicked at the company commander, ”Scram, you bastard! Family letters, family letters, do you even know what a family letter is?”

”Of course.”

”Then you should know it’s private conversation between husband and wife.” Tian Niu charged to grab it.

But the company commander refused to hand over the letter, and the two almost came to blows over it.

”Enough. Are you two too energetic?” Qin Jian barked, frowning and gesturing the company commander to bring the letter, ”Hand it over?”

”Commander... look, we’re all suffering, this is just us trying to find joy in our hardships, right?” The company commander didn’t want to return the letter.

”I’m counting to three. If you don’t give it back to me, I will really show you no mercy. One, two, three...”

Before Qin Jian finished speaking, the company commander obediently handed over the letter, ”Commander...”

”Let’s stop this nonsense. I understand your feelings. Let me first see the content of the letter and I’ll select a few lines to read out to everyone,” Qin Jian suggested and slowly unfolded the letter.
