Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1451: Chapter 1451: Major Decision

After the conference, doctors who knew An Hao from before all came over to congratulate her.

Yet their attitude towards Ma Mei was somewhat cold.

After nearly a year of anxiety, Ma Mei finally ended up with such a result, and it felt like her heart was being sliced by a knife.

This incident would be recorded in her personal file, leaving an indelible mark in her medical history.

From now on, no matter where she went, she believed no hospital would hire her again.

Her medical career was over!

An Hao had finally cleared her disgrace and returned to the hospital once more.

According to the plan she had made with Yan Ye and Ji Chuan, she was to treat them today, and the three planned to drink till they dropped.

When work ended, she stood in the hospital lobby waiting for the two of them.

Ma Mei came over with her suitcase and happened to run into An Hao, seeing her standing there leisurely and with a joyful expression, Ma Mei bit her lip and approached, ”You seem to be in a good mood.”

”Yes!” An Hao’s mouth curled into a smile, ”The clouds have parted to reveal the sunrise, how could I not be happy? There’s a saying, what goes around comes around. Don’t think that no one will find out about the bad things you’ve done! Heaven has eyes, and there will always be a day of reckoning.”

Ma Mei looked at An Hao’s smug expression, wishing she could tear off her facade.

In the end, she suppressed her impulse and gritted her teeth, ”Well, we’ll see!”

.........

Ma Mei left.

An Hao continued to wait for Ji Chuan and Yan Ye. Suddenly, the hospital’s loudspeaker broadcasted, ”All doctors, please go to your respective departments and wait! Next, our hospital has an emergency situation and significant decisions to announce.”

Although An Hao knew she was not officially a doctor of the hospital yet, she still considered herself a part of it.

Since the hospital had an emergency announcement, it was natural for her to go.

An Hao hurried to General Surgery, only to see that everyone was quietly waiting for the announcement.

”An Hao, why have you come again?” Lei Linxuan asked when he saw her.

”Didn’t they say there was an emergency announcement? I also came to listen! Is Director Ji here?”

”He’s been in a meeting for a while now, probably coming back soon.” Lei Linxuan glanced at the clock on the wall of the duty room, ”I heard from colleagues that it seems we’ll be sending people to the disaster area.”

No sooner had she finished speaking than Ji Chuan rushed back like a whirlwind.

As soon as he entered, he said, ”Everyone heard the broadcast, right? I guess some colleagues have already guessed what I am about to announce. Now, without further ado, let’s get to the point. After a decision by the military leadership, our hospital is sending two medical teams to the disaster area for medical aid! Now, I’ve already drafted the roster. Those I call, please hurry home to prepare, we’re leaving tonight.”

”Mr. Ji, can interns also participate?” Lei Linxuan heard the discussions that interns might not be able to participate, and fearing Ji Chuan might overlook her, she hastily raised her hand and asked.

”No!” Ji Chuan shook his head.

”Why not? Mr. Ji, we want to participate too!” Lei Linxuan glanced at the other interns, seeing that they all nodded and also expressed a strong desire to go.

”There’s no why. You are doctors, but you are also soldiers! Soldiers must follow orders!” Ji Chuan said solemnly.
