Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 744: Chapter 744 Calm Your Anger

”Tell me, are you even human? The food is insanely salty, and the water is undrinkable! Is this how you treat your guests? Let everyone hear, this is the hospitality of the Commander’s family.” Song Yueqin’s voice was shrill, and her yelling carried far into the night.

After dinner, when military spouses took their evening strolls, they all gathered around one by one.

Before the situation became clear, nobody dared to interrupt.

After all, it was the Commander’s domestic affair, and no one wanted to interfere. What if they said something wrong and it was over for them?

”Stop yelling! This is a military compound, not your neighborhood streets! Shouting like this here is very inappropriate. Come with us!” said the duty soldier.

”Good for you, An Hao! You are really something, calling the soldiers to drive us away! This is how you treat your relatives! You are cold-blooded, heartless, and shameless!” Song Yueqin was furious with An Hao, completely unleashing her talent for cursing like a fishwife.

Seeing that this woman’s cursing was getting more and more ferocious, the duty soldier feared she might spew even more unsightly words, so he quickly grabbed her and dragged her out.

”An Hao, come out! What are you hiding inside like a turtle shrinking its head? You think you’re so powerful now just because you married the Commander’s son? Otherwise, what makes you think you’re so high and mighty! Your days are numbered! Qin Jian has married a hen that doesn’t lay eggs! A useless eater that doesn’t produce!” Song Yueqin’s curses were getting more and more outrageous.

An Hao opened the door from inside, holding a thermos of water, and stood in front of Song Yueqin, ”Have you had enough? You seem to be quite fired up! I came out to help cool you down.”

After speaking, An Hao raised the thermos with both hands and poured it over Song Yueqin’s head.

Even though the Spring Festival had passed and the season was entering the days of late winter, the weather outside was still very cold.

A thermos of cold water splashed down from the top of Song Yueqin’s head, soaking her hair and cotton-padded jacket through, sending a chill to her core.

”Ah—! It’s freezing me to death!” Song Yueqin yelled, hugging herself and shivering in the cold wind.

”Sister-in-law, you! You are truly a cruel woman!” Qin Fen also started cursing.

”Oh, is this a relay race? It seems I should help you cool down too.” An Hao turned back to fill up more water in the house, and by the time she came out, these two had already left, cursing all the way.

By then, the surrounding people gathered around, inquiring about An Hao’s well-being, and unanimously denounced the couple’s behavior as appalling.

An Hao smiled and didn’t say much before going back inside.

Being driven out of the military compound, these two were also blacklisted.

They probably wouldn’t dream of setting foot in the military compound ever again.

The two walked shivering in the cold wind for a long time before finally finding a hotel.

They hurriedly took off their soaking wet clothes and got under the covers, but despite this, Song Yueqin still got sick. She ate too salty, didn’t manage to drink water, yelled for half a day, and was drenched in cold water, wearing wet clothes for a long while.

Anyone would have found it hard to bear.

In the middle of the night, she began to have a fever, a high fever of over thirty-nine degrees, and Qin Fen ran five kilometers out in the middle of the night to get medicine.

After two or three days of such torment, Song Yueqin’s fever subsided, but her voice became hoarse and rough, sounding terribly unpleasant.

This quieted the two of them down completely, and they lost any desire to enjoy themselves in the city anymore.

So, they went back home.

This time, Song Yueqin was thoroughly humiliated; she swore she had taken a grudge against An Hao. She wouldn’t rest until she brought An Hao down.
