Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 711: Chapter 711: Disagree to Be Together

”Yes, I admit it was a mistake your dad and I made! But you shouldn’t have run off with a man without a word, and even gotten pregnant!” Duan Aihua pointed at Gu Shuangshuang’s nose and said, ”Come on! Let’s go to the hospital and get rid of the child! You’re not allowed to see that man ever again!”

”No! I love him!” Gu Shuangshuang said defiantly.

”He doesn’t love you!”

”How do you know?”

”A man who loves you wouldn’t lose control of his lower half. Knowing that you’re a student and you’re still young, he actually did this to you! He took you away without even a greeting to the family! Dare you say that’s love?” Duan Aihua couldn’t accept a man who did such a thing and dared say he loved Gu Shuangshuang.

”I’ve talked to you about it. You didn’t agree, you didn’t give him a chance! Mom, you’re too materialistic. I beg you to give him a chance, meet him properly, get to know him! Then you can make your conclusions, okay?”

”Fine! I’ll give him a chance! I will meet with him, but now you come with me to the hospital to have the procedure,” Duan Aihua said, gripping Gu Shuangshuang’s wrist tightly.

”Auntie! Shuangshuang isn’t really pregnant, right?” An Hao, who was listening in a daze, said, ”She’s been in Tian Family Village for less than half a month. She has been at school before that, I know the situation. It must be some mistake, and that’s how rumors started, right?”

”An Hao! Why did you tell her? Just let her be angry! Let her cool down before we talk.” Let her learn a lesson, to investigate before jumping to conclusions.

Duan Aihua knew this about Gu Shuangshuang, this stubborn girl was really going against her, and that was what troubled her the most.

Not being pregnant is good!

Everything is not too late, there’s still a chance to make amends.

Tian Ermie, out of breath, ran back to her house, startling the whole family.

Seeing her anxious face and Gu Shuangshuang not with her, Tian Niu became worried. ”Ermie, where is your sister-in-law?”

”She... she was taken away by her mom...” Tian Ermie panted, ”Oh right, and your leader... some kind of staff officer.”

”Why did they take away your sister-in-law?” Tian Niu asked anxiously.

”Don’t... don’t know. They said they didn’t approve of you two being together. Brother, you must go bring my sister-in-law back.”

”Oh my! This is terrible! Tian Wazi, take your stuff and go quickly, explain the situation properly. Remember, you must bring this daughter-in-law back home,” the old lady urged hurriedly.

”Don’t worry!” Tian Niu dropped what he was doing, washed his hands, changed clothes in a flash, grabbed his belongings, and ran out the door.

He waited at the train station for four hours before he got a ticket to Nancheng City, and then he boarded the train to pursue Gu Shuangshuang.

...................................................

Three hours later, Qin Jian and his group arrived in Nancheng City.

Duan Aihua dragged Gu Shuangshuang off the bus in the city center and went straight to a hotel.

Qin Jian and An Hao took the car straight home.

By the time they got home, it was already dark. As they entered the door, Zhang Yun and Ning Yibin were sitting on the couch reading the newspaper, while also waiting for the two of them for dinner.

Seeing them return, Ning Yibin closed the newspaper and asked, ”How did it go? Did you find her?”

”We found her!” Qin Jian took off his hat and said, ”We were quite lucky, we bumped into the market day, and found her at the market.”
