Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 743: Chapter 743: Blasted Out the Door

”What are you doing in the kitchen? Get out!” An Hao waved her hand impatiently. She didn’t want Song Yueqin to know that the medicine was for her to take.

”Are you sick or something? What kind of sickness?” Song Yuqin asked nosily.

”I’m not sick. And even if someone is, it’s none of your business.” An Hao quickly put the lid on the casserole, urging Song Yueqin to leave.

”I got it. It must be because you’re not pregnant, right? It’s been a year since you got married, and I haven’t seen any signs of a baby bump.” Song Yueqin originally made a wild guess but didn’t expect to hit the nail on the head.

An Hao’s hand paused slightly.

This subtle movement did not escape Song Yueqin’s eyes, and she smiled with self-satisfaction: ”It seems I guessed right.”

”Whatever you say! Say what you want to say.” An Hao didn’t argue with her, in fact, the less eager she appeared, the more Song Yueqin doubted her own answer.

Seeing that An Hao wasn’t reacting much, Song Yueqin pouted and left.

After tidying up, An Hao came out of the kitchen, only to hear Qin Fen say with a husky voice as if he was squeezing it out, ”Sister-in-law! The food is so salty. Aren’t you going to give us some water to drink?”

An Hao brought over the water, pouring a full glass for each of them: ”Drink up! There’s plenty of water from the tap!”

Song Yueqin’s throat was already parched, and upon lifting the cup, she guzzled a few mouthfuls, only to find the taste unbearably nasty: ”An Hao, did you put soap in the water?”

”This is the water quality in the military compound area! What’s the matter? Can’t drink it?”

”It’s really too awful to drink!” Qin Fen retched a few times but didn’t throw up.

An Hao watched the two make a spectacle of themselves, barely able to contain her laughter inside.

By now, they should be ready to leave, shouldn’t they?

But she had truly underestimated how shameless these two could be.

”Forget it, just endure it. When my brother comes back tonight, I’ll see what kind of water he drinks,” Qin Fen said.

It was clear what he meant, he wasn’t planning on leaving that evening.

”Your brother won’t be back to sleep tonight. He’s attending a training course and only comes back once a week. You won’t be able to wait for him. You’d better take the chance now while it’s still early and find a place to stay; otherwise, you might end up roaming the streets later.” Since they weren’t leaving, An Hao flatly urged them to go.

”Really? I see you’ve got space in your house, so why don’t we just stay here,” Song Yueqin was completely shameless, not wanting to give An Hao any satisfaction. She wanted to see what An Hao would do to get her to leave.

”That’s fine.” An Hao suppressed the rage in her heart while still keeping a smile on her face, ”How about this, I’ll take you out for a walk to help you digest! Later, we’ll see if Qin Jian comes back, then we can arrange where you’ll stay.”

”That’s more like it.” Now Qin Fen was satisfied.

”Let’s go then! You go ahead, I’ll lock the door,” An Hao said.

Qin Fen and Song Yueqin didn’t suspect anything and walked out first, only to hear a loud bang as An Hao closed the door behind them.

”Hey? Why is the door closed?” Qin Fen asked.

Song Yueqin went up to knock on the door, but An Hao didn’t open it at all.

It was then that they realized they had been locked out on purpose.

”An Hao! Isn’t this move a bit too low? Is it necessary to lock us out just because you don’t want to host us? It’s freezing in the dead of winter; are you trying to freeze us to death?” Song Yueqin was furious and started yelling tirades.

An Hao didn’t pay them any attention, letting them rant as they pleased.

She went to the telephone, dialed the duty company, and reported, ”There are two people causing trouble at the commander’s doorstep. Please escort them away!”

The duty soldiers received the call and came over, only to find a man and a woman at the doorstep cursing away
