“Such generosity is hard to refuse. I’ll accept them, then.” Only after sweeping all hundred-plus Bodhi Sacred Leaves into his storage did Yu Zi Yu offer a token expression of courtesy.

As for the pained expression twisting the Master of the Buddhist Sect’s face…Yu Zi Yu selectively chose to ignore it.

The Bodhi Sacred Leaves were priceless treasures. Even if he did not need them personally, his subordinates certainly would. Not to mention, Yu Zi Yu was already considering setting aside a few leaves for brewing tea, something to indulge in from time to time.

As someone who stood at the very peak of the universe, no level of extravagance was too much.

Of course, this too was a subtle change that had begun to occur in Yu Zi Yu after reading through countless Buddhist scriptures.

Now, he did not feel the rush to calculate every scheme…

Didn’t feel the need to constantly plan ten steps ahead…

Occasional relaxation was necessary.

Only with a calm heart could his cultivation continue to climb, step by step, steadily.

On the surface, it looked like Yu Zi Yu simply wanted to enjoy luxuries. But in truth, it was a sign that his mind had washed away its restlessness.

[This journey to the Buddhist Sect… is no less than a great fortune to me.] With a joyous smile in his heart, Yu Zi Yu prepared to take his leave. If he remained any longer, quite a few people would start to feel uneasy.

*Boooom…* A deep thunderous roar reverberated, time and space distorted around Yu Zi Yu, and in a flash, Yu Zi Yu’s figure vanished from above the Sea of Bitterness, leaving behind only the Master of the Buddhist Sect, standing quietly, lost in thought.

“The Demon Emperor… strength is truly beyond anything.” With one final sigh, the Master of the Buddhist Sect, too, departed.

…

Shortly thereafter, on Planet Celestus, the Grand Treasure-Exchange Conference commenced, immediately drawing countless powerhouses. The scale of the event was immense, consuming an entire city.

Among them were innumerable experts from the Demon Court, stationed at all corners to maintain order.

If one looked above, they would see a kaleidoscope of radiance filling the entire sky, woven by the glows of every rare and precious treasure showcased below.

Some items were so extraordinary that even veterans like Nine Tails and Golden Ant had their pupils contract.

“That’s a Tier-6 Meteorite Demon Orchid, it’s worth a fortune.”

“That’s a Tier-6 Formless Dragon Bamboo, capable of triggering metamorphosis of the Dragon Clan’s Bloodline. It can drive the entire Dragon Clan into madness…”

“Wait… is that Purple-Gold Divine Iron?!”

…

Exclamation after exclamation echoed across the city as countless experts failed to hide their shock. These treasures were too terrifying. So terrifying that even Tier-6 Overlords could not help but feel an impulse to seize them by force.

However, glancing at the powerful figures seated atop the high platforms, most people wisely smothered such thoughts.

The event was not hosted by the Demon Court alone!

The Buddhist Sect, the Dragon Clan, the Phoenix Race, and several other great Forces were all participating.

Thus, the first Treasure-Exchange Conference was convened.

And notably, every Major Force had brought out some of their most prized treasures.

For instance, the Demon Court showcased Life Spirit Essence, a genuine Tier-7 Spirit Essence. A single drop of it was enough to regenerate flesh on bare bones, and bring dead to life. It was enough to make every powerhouse subconsciously gulp.

The Buddhist Sect showcased Tier-6 Divine Sandalwood…

The Dragon Clan displayed Dragonblood Grass.

And so on, priceless treasures were on display.

More importantly, every single one of them were present at this Treasure-Exchange Conference.

And that was not all, many of the forces had noticed something far deeper.

The Demon Court…

The Dragon Clan…

The Phoenix Clan…

The Buddhist Sect…

And even the God Race…

All seemed to be showing signs of forming an alliance.

And if these Forces were to form an alliance, no one in the universe could stand against them!

No one knew, and no one wanted to know.

But one thing was certain: The formation of an alliance was inevitable, because not long ago, the Celestial Clan, the Zombie Clan, and even the Demon Clan had all suffered casualties from the Void’s invasion.

“The Void’s momentum cannot be stopped. And now, it even possesses two Hegemons. If we don’t form an alliance… we will be defeated one by one.” A voice came from an unknown corner, yet every expert present silently agreed.

The power of the Void Clan was immense, making an alliance imperative. And this Treasure-Exchange Conference felt less like an event, and more like a grand festival before the formation of a united alliance.

As for Yu Zi Yu himself, he was more than satisfied.

Sitting within the grand palace on Planet Celestus, the corners of his lips curled slightly as he examined several priceless treasures resting in his hand.

“World Heart… Space Crystal…” Murmuring softly, Yu Zi Yu narrowed his eyes.

These were the supreme treasures he needed to refine his Ultimate Dao Body.

And now, thanks to the Treasure-Exchange Conference, he had actually found them.

This World Heart in particular, untainted by karmic sin, had been discovered by a Tier-6 Overlord while exploring the universe.

According to that powerhouse’s conjecture, this World Heart came from a habitable planet that had perished millions of years ago, eventually condensing into a karma-free World Heart.

This was a natural planetary death, and thus, untainted by karma.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu raised the pristine World Heart gleaming like a flawless diamond, examining it.

Within its depths, Yu Zi Yu could see countless scenes.

These were the planet’s memory, the story of a Race’s birth… prosperity… and eventual extinction.

For instance, If Earth, the cradle of the Human Race, were one day destroyed by those same Humans turning on one another, the complete, catastrophic record of that demise would be imprinted onto its World Heart.

“Elves…?” Yu Zi Yu mumbled in surprise, as he noticed that the extinct Race of this world had been the Elves.

The planet seemed to have been accidentally destroyed by a meteor shower.

“Hmm…” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but sigh at the past.

Before the resurgence of Spiritual Energy, a mere meteor shower was enough to erase an entire habitable planet.

At this point, it should be brought to notice that the Dragon Clan, the Phoenix Clan, the Elf Clan, none of them were born after the Era of Transcendence.

Just like the Humans of Earth, they already existed long before the resurgence of Spiritual Energy.

However, without the Spiritual Energy, their strength and Bloodlines were not awakened. They were no different from the myriad creatures on Earth, locked in brutal cycles of natural selection.

Until one day… Spiritual Energy returned, and their Bloodlines awakened…

And a great era truly descended.

There was another point worth mentioning: If not for an accident, if not for the event that wiped them out, the ancient rulers of Earth, the Dinosaurs might very well have been the dominant Race of today.

Because the Dinosaurs carried the Dragon Clan Bloodline, and not merely any Bloodline, but the Bloodline of the Ancient Dragons, who once stood shoulder to shoulder with the Western Dragons and Eastern Dragons.
