Yu Zi Yu, after giving a brief explanation, finally chose to take his leave.

Everything that needed to be said had already been said.

The rest would depend on Ling Er, Golden Ant, and the others.

As for Yu Zi Yu himself, he planned on visiting the Buddhist Sect’s Sutra Hall.

Not long ago, the Master of the Buddhist Sect had personally come to invite him.

And in exchange, Yu Zi Yu had agreed to lend the Buddhist Sect his aid once.

A faint smile danced on his lips; he was genuinely curious about the Buddhist Sect’s heritage.

Few outsiders would have ever been allowed entry to a treasure trove like the Sutra Hall.

And he…was probably the first person in this era.

Thinking so, Yu Zi Yu lifted his foot and stepped forward.

*Boooom…*

With a single step, he headed straight toward the Master of the Buddhist Sect.

As for Planet Celestus’ grand alliance, he was not really in a hurry.

If anything, others would be far more anxious than him…

After all, the Void Clan had become increasingly aggressive.

Under Yu Zi Yu’s arrangements alone, billions of Void Creatures had been divided into dozens of legions, launching large-scale invasions across multiple Forces.

Now… they were the ones facing true disaster.

…

After a short while…

“Demon Emperor, this way, please…” Wearing a gentle smile, an elderly monk with a kindly face invited warmly.

“Lead the way…” With that simple reply, Yu Zi Yu followed the Master of the Buddhist Sect toward the Buddha Realm.

The Buddha Realm was not located within the universe.

It was much like the Shadow Realm, an independent world that existed eternally within the crevices of space.

Yu Zi Yu was very clear about this.

After all, he had once visited it in his Soaring Purple Dragon form, and had seized a considerable amount of their resources.

Even now, the Tier-6 Spirit Treasure, Sandalwood Incense, burned within the Void Palace.

…

“In Buddhism, all beings are equal… all things in this world share the same nature…” In a rare moment, Demi-Buddha beside him began explaining Buddhist teachings to Yu Zi Yu.

However, Yu Zi Yu could not help but admit the fact that Buddhism was fascinating.

Just by listening to its teaching had brought a piece of mind to Yu Zi Yu, smoothing away his killing intent and adding a touch of tranquility.

“Buddhism is truly profound.” With a soft note of admiration, Yu Zi Yu followed Demi-Buddha deep into the Buddha Realm, his gaze lifting toward a building not far away.

On its plaque above the door were two gilded words: Sutra Hall.

However, that was not the remarkable part.

What stood out was the fact that the entire building was enveloped in radiant Buddhist light.

The entire structure was shrouded in a boundless Zen-like atmosphere.

Anyone with a weak will would likely be converted upon first arriving here.

“Hehe… interesting…” Smiling to himself, Yu Zi Yu followed Demi-Buddha into the Sutra Hall.

Soon after, what greeted his eyes was an ocean of scrolls and books stretching as far as sight allowed.

“Our Buddhist Sect has thirty million sutras, and countless divine skills and secret arts… Look there, where the Buddhist light is strongest. That’s the Divine Ability, Divine Feet. With it, one may roam freely across the universe. It’s a terrifying Divine Ability second only to the Grand Divine Ability.

It is said that if one can master all six of Buddhist Sect’s most famous Divine Abilities, their combined might would rival even a true Grand Divine Ability…

Unfortunately, to this day, few in the Buddhist Sect have ever mastered all six. Even I have only managed to master one, the Heavenly Eye…”

One explanation followed another, and at the end, a trace of regret couldn’t help but appear in Demi-Buddha’s tone.

[If I have mastered all six Divine Abilities, why would we have to rely on the Demon Emperor!? Still, it’s fortunate that the Demon Emperor does indeed have a heart inclined toward Buddhism.]

Along the way, Yu Zi Yu had asked him many questions about Buddhist teachings.

What Demi-Buddha did not know was that Yu Zi Yu’s mind was far too cluttered. He had to split his attention for doing multiple things at once, like commanding four different forms, or plotting against the Myriad Races, perhaps even against the entire universe.

Yu Zi Yu’s thoughts were exceptionally complex.

And such a mind… was unsuitable for cultivation.

Thus, after much hesitation, Yu Zi Yu finally chose to visit the Buddhist Sect.

Buddhism valued the cultivation of the mind above all.

If he could find a moment of enlightenment here, it might temper and settle his restless mind.

With this in mind… after greeting Demi-Buddha, Yu Zi Yu walked toward the rows upon rows of Buddhist scriptures.

However, to Demi-Buddha’s astonishment, Yu Zi Yu did not head for the section containing Divine Abilities and Secret Arts.

Instead, he walked toward the Hinayana scriptures…

“Ah…” Demi-Buddha stood rooted on the spot, struck dumb.

Only after a long while, when he saw Yu Zi Yu quietly leafing through the Hinayana texts, and even some Mahayana scriptures, did he finally press his palms together and uttered, “Amitabha! I truly used a petty man’s heart to judge a gentleman…”

Sighing inwardly, Demi-Buddha suddenly realized that this Demon Emperor had intentionally avoided the location of their Divine Abilities.

[Everyone in the world covets our Divine Abilities and Secret Arts. How many can, like the Demon Emperor, ignore the treasures before them and instead immerse themselves in Buddhist scripture and doctrine?]

“The Demon Emperor truly has a fated connection with Buddhism…” murmuring to himself once again, Demi-Buddha’s gaze toward Yu Zi Yu grew warm and friendly.

However, if he knew that this same Demon Emperor had personally slapped his prized disciple to death, he might very well cough up blood on the spot.

Not only did he kill his Disciple, but he also entered their treasure house with a clear conscience to cultivate his Zen mind…

Only Yu Zi Yu had the audacity to do something so shameless.

Anyone else, aside from other considerations, would certainly feel embarrassed.

…

Spring turned to autumn, and in the blink of an eye, a year had gone by.

During this year, Yu Zi Yu had undergone a subtle transformation; he had lost some of his sharpness and gained a more serene demeanour.

“The Buddhist Sect’s path of cultivating the mind certainly has its merits,” with a soft expression of approval, Yu Zi Yu prepared to take his leave from Demi-Buddha.

He had already spent quite a long while in the Buddhist Sect’s Sutra Hall.

If he lingered any longer, even he would feel it improper.

However, just as he was about to depart, the Master of the Buddhist Sect suddenly invited him, “Demon Emperor, I wonder… would you accompany me to one more place?”

“Very well…”

With that simple reply, Yu Zi Yu stepped out of the Sutra Hall and followed the Master of the Buddhist Sect through the Buddha Realm.

Vast stretches of land shrank beneath their steps, and within just a few breaths, they arrived at the edge of a boundless sea.

“This is Buddhism’s Sea of Bitterness, only the fated ones can cross it…”

At the drop of this sentence, a brilliant Buddhist light surged, and a shimmering, ethereal path unfurled beneath his feet.

Following the Master of the Buddhist Sect, Yu Zi Yu walked across the sea… step by step… until they reached its end.

And there, Yu Zi Yu suddenly trembled.

Because at that moment, a faint, almost imperceptible sensation suddenly enveloped him.

“This is… the aura of a Divine Tree.” A murmur escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips, as he stood rooted in his spot in shock.
