Now, with the arrival of the World Tree, the Void Clan had gained something unthinkable, the potential to ascend into a civilization.

Yu Zi Yu’s eyes gleamed with a rare excitement.

If the Void Clan truly forged a Void Civilization, then their destiny would be sealed. They would only grow stronger through battle, stronger with every conquest, until they stood at the absolute summit.

And when he thought about it, it made perfect sense.

A civilization wasn’t just a gathering of power; it was the embodiment of inheritance and a complete cultivation system. But even more terrifying than that, a civilization possessed an almost perfect mechanism of growth through war and plunder.

And the Void Clan, by nature, were apex predators. War and conquest was in their blood. So, that criteria was already fulfilled.

Their flaw had always been the lack of a coherent legacy. A complete inheritance.

But now, the World Tree’s arrival had filled that void.

Once the World Tree transformed into a Great Void World, it would draw the countless Void Creatures from every corner of the abyss.

When billions upon billions of Void Creatures converged upon it, their inheritances and legacies would naturally settle within the depths of that new world.

And in that moment, the embryonic form of a Void Civilization would be born. An extremely terrifying civilization that thrived on battle, that devoured and transformed every resource it claimed.

Just the thought of it made Yu Zi Yu’s heart surge with excitement.

If, at the dawn of this era, he could forge such a fearsome, invasive civilization, then one day, the entire universe would kneel beneath the feet of the Void Civilization.

Unless another civilization of equal standing arose to oppose it, none would be able to halt its advance.

The terror of a true civilization was far beyond what ordinary beings could ever imagine.

In terms of sheer power, the Dragon Clan, the Phoenix Clan could rival the Void Clan.

But if the Void Clan were to evolve into a civilization, it would mean their strength would grow endlessly through battle.

Perhaps in just a few tens of millennia, even the mighty Dragons and Phoenixes would become part of the Void Civilization.

Of course, that was only Yu Zi Yu’s imagination.

For now, talk of ‘civilization’ was still far too early. Rather than dwelling on distant futures, what he needed to do now was simple: Return with the World Tree to the deepest reaches of the Void, back to the Divine Demon Continent.

[However before that…] Yu Zi Yu gave a calm smile and asked, “You don’t have a name yet, do you?”

“Yes, my Lord…”

In response, the World Tree’s eyes shone with anticipation..

“Then you shall be called…Rahiel…” Yu Zi Yu stated in a calm and stoic voice, but his gaze held unfathomable depth, as though peering into fate itself.

“Rahiel…” The World Tree murmured the name softly.

And then, suddenly…

*Booooom…* A deafening roar rolled through the Void, as endless streams of violet Void Energy converged, forming six radiant characters that shimmered like divine runes, and branded themselves upon the World Tree’s brow.

The name Rahiel had been acknowledged by the Void itself.

And indeed, it made sense.

As a Tier-7 entity, the World Tree’s very existence was enough to draw the gaze of the boundless Void.

Now that it had fallen into the Void, even the Void itself had much to gain from its corruption.

…

Meanwhile, as Yu Zi Yu bestowed the name upon the World Tree, a massive storm had swept through the cosmos.

“Did you hear? The Void Clan has invaded the God Race!”

“What? Impossible! Have they grown that arrogant?”

“Arrogant? You haven’t heard the worst of it. The God Race… has fallen—completely.”

“What do you mean fallen!?”

“It’s said their greatest sacred relic, the World Tree itself, has betrayed them! It turned on the Gods, devastating their entire realm. They were forced to unleash even the Genesis Star Chart, their final trump card!”

A heated discussion erupted in all parts of the cosmos, as the news of the God Race’s catastrophe spread like wildfire.

All the Major Forces and powerful Races were left in utter shock.

The God Race was one of the oldest and mightiest Force in existence, yet this terrifying Force had fallen.

And not just fallen, but utterly and irreversibly.

Their sacred relic had betrayed them, transforming into a monstrous abomination that laid waste to their realm.

Hundreds of thousands of Gods had entered slumber.

Even the nine Pantheon Lords had suffered grievous injuries.

And… due to the summoning of the Genesis Star Chart, the current King of Gods, that once arrogant and terrifying being who treated the entire universe beneath him, had been left with crippling aftereffects.

One shocking revelation after another spread through the cosmos. No one knew from where these whispers came, but each one sent waves of disbelief rippling through the entire cosmos.

“You’ve got to be kidding! Even the God Race couldn’t repel the Void’s invasion!?”

“Not only could they not repel, but they’re in a worse shape than our Buddhist Sect! Even their World Tree betrayed them!”

Exclamations of shock echoed throughout the Buddha Realm. The corners of countless Buddhists’ eyes twitched uncontrollably, as a look of horror and disbelief blanketed their faces.

They had thought their Buddhist Sect was in dire straits enough, but compared to the Gods, it seemed that the Buddhist Sect was faring quite well.

At the very least, they hadn’t fallen to such a miserable state, to the point of summoning the Genesis Star Chart.

Worse yet, the Gods’ sacred relic had rebelled, leaving their entire race adrift and without anchor.

The World Tree was the cornerstone of the God Race, and also the object that suppressed their destiny.

But now, their destiny had scattered, and the Gods were severely weakened.

Presumably, it might take ten tens of millenia before they could even begin to recover.

*Cough, cough…* A soft cough echoed through the golden halls, drawing the attention of every Buddhist Expert toward a Bodhisattva.

The old Bodhisattva spoke in a deep and grave voice, “The betrayal of the World Tree was something no one could have foreseen. But we… must take heed.”

His words hung heavy in the air.

“Our Sacred Bodhi Tree… though still but a sapling…”

Just as these words left his lips, the entire hall fell silent.

Dozens of Buddhist Experts couldn’t help but exchange uneasy glances, their expressions paling.

The Sacred Bodhi Tree was one of the Divine Trees of Heaven and Earth. It was no less exalted than the World Tree itself.

And now that the World Tree had turned against the Gods, a chilling thought passed through every mind.

[If the Bodhi Tree were to betray us too… then even our Buddhist Sect might soon share the same tragic fate as the Gods.]

A hint of worry flashed on the faces of the Buddhist Experts.

Author’s Notes:

One more thing to add…

There are countless powerful Races in the universe, but currently, only a few have the potential to develop into civilizations.

Like the Gods, the Angels… using faith as a medium to spread the banners of the world.

Or aggressive clans like the Void Clan, the Abyssal Race, the Demon Clan, they too have the potential to grow into civilizations.

There are also civilizations that came into existence thanks to their cultivation system and Principles, such as the Techno Civilization created by the Goblin Clan, or the Immortal Civilization and Wizard Civilization created by the Human Clan.

As for other Races… the development into civilizations mostly required the alliance of multiple top-tier powers.
