The so-called ‘supreme lifeforms’ were beings that transcended all racial limits and possessed strength beyond comprehension.

Each and every one of them were renowned throughout the universe.

Once, someone had proposed including Yu Zi Yu among the Ten Fiends of the Universe, yet after some thought, they abandoned the idea.

For existences like him had long transcended mortal comprehension. They stood so high that they were no different than the nobles of the universe.

Even if there were someone who wanted to include him among the Ten Fiends, they dared not. At most, they referred to him with reverence as the Demon Emperor.

And because of that very reason, they settled for the next best choice, Golden Ant of the Demon Court, and placed him among the Ten Fiends.

It was said that, in the far future, tens of thousands or even millions of years hence, the so-called ‘Ten Fiends of the Universe’ would come to be remembered as the Ten Ancient Fiends, or perhaps even the Primordial Ten Fiends.

In fact, there already existed a recorded tale describing them thus: “At the dawn of the Epoch, ten beings of utmost ferocity were born. They stood shoulder to shoulder with the Heavens, living as long as the Earth. Above and below, through all realms, only they reigned supreme.”

And those were the Ten Fiends of the Universe.

To call them ‘supreme lifeform’” was not entirely accurate; they were, rather, the most fearsome entities born from every great faction, whose names inspired dread across the cosmos.

All except the Demon Emperor.

For according to the words of countless Races, the Demon Emperor stood beyond the Ten Fiends, his radiance shining alongside the sun and moon themselves.

…

Of course, as far as Yu Zi Yu was concerned, such titles were nothing but hollow, prestigious, perhaps, yet ultimately meaningless.

After all, the universe was vast and unfathomable. Many truly terrifying beings wandered it in silence, their names unknown, their power immeasurable.

And among the so-called Ten Fiends, Dream Dragon, Seven-Colored Phoenix, and the unrivaled prodigy of the Kun Peng Clan, all were worthy of their titles.

But compared to them, Golden Ant seemed a little unworthy of such a title.

Strong as he was, there remained a subtle gulf separating him from those apex beings.

The only reason Golden Ant had earned a place among the Ten Fiends was simple: he was Yu Zi Yu’s subordinate.

They dared not rank Yu Zi Yu himself. So, they chose the next closest thing.

And thus, Golden Ant became one of the Ten Fiends of the Universe.

A faint smile crossed Yu Zi Yu’s lips as he traversed the void, he couldn’t help but muse softly, “They probably know nothing of Slytherin. Otherwise… Slytherin would be far more qualified to claim that title of the Fiend.”

Listening quietly to Yu Zi Yu’s musings, Ling Er, who had been explaining the origins of the Ten Fiends, couldn’t help but smile mischievously. “Master, don’t underestimate Fifth Brother. He’s quite formidable. True, compared to the likes of Dream Dragon or Seven-Colored Phoenix, he still falls a little short… but across the universe, his strength is far from ordinary.”

As she defended Golden Ant, Ling Er couldn’t help but pout.

[Master is perfect in every way, except for one tiny flaw, he always underestimates us. He still treats us like children.]

*Hmph…* Ling Er snorted softly, as if sulking.

Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but laugh aloud, but a bit of curiosity flashed in his eyes. “Hahaha… don’t tell me Little Fifth has grown stronger again?”

“That goes without saying!” she replied, eyes gleaming with excitement. “While you were in seclusion, Fifth Brother actually fought the Kun Peng Clan’s peerless prodigy! The battle shook Heaven and Earth, and even shattered several planets! It was truly an earth-shattering battle, and it was in that battle that he earned his place among the Ten Fiends!”

As she spoke, her words grew more and more animated, a mix of pride and awe coloring her voice.

Compared to her Master’s dominance over the world, what thrilled her even more was seeing each of his followers rise to fame and power, shaking the very stars with their might.

Only then, she thought, would they truly be worthy of sharing even a sliver of their Master’s burden.

…

Listening quietly, Yu Zi Yu could not help but fall silent.

[Incredible! Little Fifth is even more outstanding than I could’ve imagined. That’s a huge relief. My trip to the Central Sector will be the perfect chance to visit them.] As this thought crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu, carrying Ling Er, took a single step forward, and he and Ling Er vanished into the distance, heading toward the heart of the stars.

As for why Yu Zi Yu brought Ling Er along, naturally, it was to broaden her horizons.

Besides, she had always been clingy. So, bringing her with him wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

*Booooom…* A thunderous boom resounded as Yu Zi Yu shot across the starry sky like a streak of light.

Space folded and unfolded around him in layers upon layers of shimmering distortion. This was a kind of escape technique, one that manipulated space itself to an astonishing degree.

He had given this technique a name: Void Step.

With each stride, he crossed the distance of several star systems, moving with such terrifying speed that even light seemed slow in comparison.

Of course, long-distance travel still required the aid of the massive Stargates scattered throughout the cosmos.

Even for someone like Yu Zi Yu, traversing to the Central Sector purely by his own power would take years.

It couldn’t be helped! The universe was simply too vast, furthermore, it was still expanding.

[Perhaps only those who had reached Half Step Eternal Realm, or true Eternity itself, could walk every corner of the cosmos, and even pierce beyond it, into the primordial chaos that lay outside.]

With a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips, he accelerated once more.

Not long after, deep within the Central Sector, a vast celestial body came into view. It was Planet Celestus, a planet so immense it dwarfed the Earth by hundreds of millions of times.

Then, suddenly…

*Booooom…* A shockwave rippled through the world, as countless experts raised their heads in unison, gazes drawn toward the starry expanse above.

“What… is that aura?”

“So terrifying… it’s beyond comprehension!”

“Who could possibly possess such power?”

One exclamation after another echoed through the vast world, and faces turned pale as that suffocating pressure swept across the land.

There was no denying that this aura was terrifying, pressing down on everyone and everything like the radiant sun high in the sky.

And then, as if realization struck, one figure among them couldn’t help but tremble and cry out in shock, “T-That’s the Demon Emperor!”

“What!? The Demon Emperor?”

The name alone sent ripples of dread through the assembled crowds.

The Demon Emperor, the strongest being in the universe!

Now, at last, they understood why that presence felt so crushing. Only he could make countless powerhouses tremble and struggle to breathe beneath the sheer weight of his aura.
