The World Tree, sacred relic of the God Race, was, in truth, a true Tier-7 entity.

However, through the God Race’s deliberate premature ripening and countless arcane methods, this colossal being had long been reduced to a mere Artifact, rooted in the fabric of the cosmos, stripped of will and thought.

However, now, everything was different, because Yu Zi Yu, as the Ancestor of Trees, had awakened it from its endless slumber.

No life willingly accepts being bound, even less willingly to become a slave.

Even as a sacred relic, the World Tree seethed with resentment and hate. Its hatred toward the very Gods who bound it, who stripped away its consciousness and freedom.

As it awakened, indescribable hatred and resentment spilled into the Heavens, filling the world in a terrifying dread and horror.

Its hatred and resentment was beyond anything, so much so that its awakening was extremely wild, unrestrained, and terrifying beyond reason.

*Rooooaar, rooooaar, rooooaar…* Its guttural bellow shook the very world. Stars and planets trembled as a new life, one that defied all reason, stirred awake amidst the cosmic sea.

*Boooom…Boooom…* Amidst the terrifying quakes, the once-majestic branches of the World Tree twisted and intertwined, transforming into colossal arms that reached for the sky.

Beneath it, its roots coiled and knotted together, thickening until they formed thick and grotesque legs that cracked the void beneath their weight.

*Rooooaar…* Another bellow tore through the Heavens, sending terrifying shockwaves rippling through the void.

It was the cry of a beast freed from its cage, the roar of a Dragon soaring after an eternity of shackles.

In that moment, the entire God Race could only stare in speechless horror.

Their sacred Artifact, their eternal symbol, had been corrupted by the violet energy, becoming something unrecognizable: a violet-hued abomination, a towering treant-like monstrosity.

“Hahaha… Tremble, you arrogant Gods! Tremble beneath your own sacred Artifact!” Yu Zi Yu’s maniacal laughter echoed across the stars, as his immense body flew toward the swirling void vortex above.

*Boooooom…* With a single flap of his six violet wings, his colossal body blurred, vanishing into the depths of the Void.

As for the World Tree…

*Hehe…* A cold and sinister laughter escaped his lips.

He did not need to look back.

The moment it awakened, it had ceased to be a sacred relic.

What now remained was hatred incarnate, a creature overflowing with madness and fury, thirsting to unleash it upon the God Race that had enslaved it for eons.

As for whether Gods would be able to suppress it again?

Yu Zi Yu knew the answer. No, at least the current them absolutely could not do it.

And the reason he was so certain was because he had not simply awakened the World Tree. He had infused it with the Boundless Blood, the essence of his Purple Dragon Form, steeped in the Supreme Principle of Infinity and laced with the Bloodlines of both Dragon Clan and the Void Clan.

That blood alone was enough to twist the World Tree’s might, after its demonic transformation, into something monstrous, amplifying its power far beyond its natural state.

The World Tree was a Tier-7 lifeform, forged through the collective foundation of the God Race. Its physical body was not much weaker than the Heaven-Connecting Divine Tree.

And now, supplemented by Yu Zi Yu’s Boundless Blood, a ferocious and terrifying demonic tree, a nightmare incarnate, was thus forged.

The God Race, powerful as they were, would find it difficult to suppress it.

In fact, if they even managed to repel it would be quite an achievement.

…

However, at that very moment…

*Cough…* A sudden, ragged cough escaped from Yu Zi Yu’s lips, who had already reverted to his Human Form, and his complexion turned deathly pale.

The Boundless Blood he had bestowed upon the World Tree was his own essence blood, and parting with it came with a terrible price. The act had drained him deeply, and if he did not recover soon, it would have far-reaching effects on his foundation.

“Don’t disappoint me, World Tree…” A faint, almost wistful gleam flickered in his exhausted eyes. Then, in the depths of the Void, Yu Zi Yu folded his legs beneath him and sat down cross-legged.

*Hoooo…* Drawing a deep breath, he guided the endless Void Energy into motion, enveloping his entire body.

He entered a state of meditation, recuperating.

It was necessary.

…

And, while Yu Zi Yu tended to his injuries, the God Race faced their greatest calamity.

*Boooooom…* With a thunderous roar that split the Heavens, two titans, each towering across the stars, collided in a cataclysmic battle.

One was shrouded in a sinister violet radiance, resembling a demon. Countless violet branches twisted and coiled like endless serpents, spreading across the void. Its limbs, thick and draconic, spanned the Heavens themselves.

Each punch it threw made the stars tremble.

Opposing it was a giant bathed in starlight, standing upon a river of starlight, with a massive axe of star light gripped in its hand. It was none other than the divine Avatar summoned from the Genesis Star Chart, he projection of the Godking of Creation, Pangu.

The World Tree, corrupted by the Void, and the projection of Pangu summoned by the star chart, were, in fact, ancient enemies, bound by fate. And today, they were clashing once again.

And the reason they were forever entwined was because the Godking of Creation attained Eternity by stepping over the corpse of the primordial World Tree, and then sealed its descendants, turning them into ‘sacred Artifacts’ of the God Race.

Thus, the hatred that burned within this generation of the World Tree was not its own alone. It was the culmination of countless ages. It was resentment upon resentment, a lineage of wrath passed down through the eons.

In that moment, behind the rampaging monster that desecrated the stars, faint phantoms of colossal trees began to emerge.

The seeds of yesterday bore the fruit of today.

Even Yu Zi Yu himself had not foreseen it. He had not foreseen that a single act of his whim would become the God Race’s true catastrophe.

*Rooooaar…* A feral roar erupted, shaking the cosmos, as the monstrous tree planted its feet upon the stars, and swung its colossal fist.

*Boooooom…* The punch unleashed a cataclysmic force. The resulting shockwave swept across an entire star system, and shook even the entire Realm of Gods.

Had the giant of starlight not intervened in time, the entire Realm of Gods might have been obliterated by that single blow.

The God Race could only count themselves fortunate that, when the World Tree’s mutation was first detected, they had swiftly lifted the nine Divine Realms that rested upon its crown into the upper skies.

Otherwise… their entire heritage might have been erased in a single night.

Even so, the casualties was staggering. The sudden betrayal of the World Tree had left the entire God Race in utter ruins. Casualties already numbered in the tens of millions, and the number continued to climb.

This was because the monstrous tree that once served them was still rampaging freely through the stars, driven by endless hatred, destroying everything it could touch.
