Subduing the Mutant Spider was not too difficult, or one could say that the Green Mantis and even Honey Badger were just special cases.

At this moment, given Yu Zi Yu’s strength, even the aura he was radiating was too much to bear for Tier-0 Mutant Beasts. So, how could they summon the courage to resist?

Submission was the inevitable choice.

And the water of Yu Zi Yu’s Spirit Pond and the Life Essence further guaranteed their unwavering submission.

Mutant Beasts that had never survived in the wild found it difficult to appreciate the preciousness of  Spirit Essence.

Smiling, Yu Zi Yu looked at the Mutant Spider, who was of the average height of a Human, silently clung to his trunk. It was quite interesting.

Her entire body was covered in purple-black patterns; it looked mysterious and exquisite. Her eight long, black legs were extremely resilient and powerful. If it were not for the fact that the Spiders naturally had large abdomens, she would have appeared quite beautiful.

At this moment, as if sensing Yu Zi Yu’s scrutinizing gaze…

*Chi, chi…* The Mutant Spider made a fawning chirp before affectionately rubbing against the Yu Zi Yu’s thick trunk.

“Go on, find a place to settle down.” After hearing Yu Zi Yu’s instructions, the Mutant Spider acted upon it without a moment of hesitation. She lifted her abdomen a little before shooting a crystal-clear web.

The next moment, under the pull of the web, she pulled herself into the depths of the forest.

And shortly afterward, a white sheen covered an area of a hundred meters in radius at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Countless glistening threads intertwined with each other, weaving a huge white web in the depths of the forest. Furthermore, this huge web did not look ugly at all. On the contrary, it resembled an exquisite painting, a very refined piece of art.

Meanwhile, the Mutant Spider was now silently lying in the center of this white web, seemingly waiting for something.

“She is a natural hunter.”

A rare praise escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips before he cast a profound glance at the web spun by the Mutant Spider.

[That’s quite good material. With a little refinement, it can surely be put to a great use.] As these thoughts swirled in his mind, Thorns’ spring scenery flashed in Yu Zi Yu’s mind.

“Speaking of which, making clothes seems like a good idea.” Yu Zi Yu’s lips curled up a little as he began to cook some plans in his mind. [Moreover, this Little Spider and Qing Gang can also cooperate in building the underground city.

The super adhesion of her web served as a natural adhesive. Not to mention, her web strands could withstand tremendous force, enough to support key constructions of the city. For example, making suspension cables and the likes.

…

Meanwhile, in the Human world…

Three days had passed since the departure of the silver-haired middle-aged man.

During these three days, the top military brass were as restless as ants on a hot plate.

“Sir, why has he not returned yet?” Clutching his fists, a middle-aged man with a resolute face and dark complexion showed signs of anxiety.

He was the silver-haired middle-aged man’s right-hand man. He managed the minor affairs in the absence of the silver-haired middle-aged man. However, it had been three days since the silver-haired middle-aged man left, and these three days had been far from ordinary.

The silver-haired middle-aged man seemed to have disappeared without a trace.

Not to mention the fact that three days ago, the Crisis of Mist Beast had suddenly appeared in Misty Mountains.

Countless mist-formed behemoths rampaged and brutally slaughtered thousands of Superhumans.

On that day, the earth was stained red with blood.

On that day, the earth was riddled with craters, as if it had been baptized by artillery shells.

And their General Li, happened to have ventured into the depths of Misty Mountains on that very day.

*Ha…* Taking a deep breath and suppressing a foreboding feeling welling up in his heart, the Deputy General looked at the people in the meeting room.

“We can’t let anything happen to General Li, there’s no room for error. Even a single moment of delay could lead to disaster. I suggest sending troops to search Misty Mountains.”

The moment he proposed this, a skeptical voice raised an objection, “Do you know what this means? Nowadays, we can’t even discern what’s real and what’s false inside Misty Mountains. And you’re asking to send an army there, it’s no different than sending them to their deaths.”

“Sending them to their deaths?” an angry shouted reverberated through the conference room as anger flashed on the Deputy General’s face.

“Do you want something to happen to General Li?” shouting in anger, the Deputy General clenched his right hand. He looked really infuriated.

He owed everything to General Li; he had been nurtured by General Li until now. His debt of gratitude was no less than that to his biological parents. Because of this, his loyalty to General Li was unquestionable. It was precisely because of this that General Li trusted him deeply and entrusted him with control over most of the military power.

And now, someone dared to question the search for General Li!?

[How dare he!? How dare he!?] His heart was burning with fury, so much that his face turned livid.

At this moment, seeing the Deputy General’s grim expression, the other military personnel in the room could not help but shrink back.

General Li wielded immense power, and his position in the military was unshakable.

However, he cared deeply for the young soldiers. It was already extremely hard to become a Superhuman. So, he could not bear to send them to their deaths like this.

*Ha…* A sigh rang in the room as an elderly Lieutenant General suddenly stood up, speaking in a conciliatory tone, “General Li’s strength is unfathomable. It’s unlikely that anything has happened to him, at worst, he’s just trapped.”

As he spoke, his gaze turned to the high-ranking military officer who had spoken earlier, stating in an approving tone, “However, it’s a fact that it’s hard to discern truth from falsehood in Misty Mountains. Furthermore, the Mist Beasts that have appeared inside are extremely bizarre. A single misstep could lead to the annihilation of our entire army. I also do not recommend sending troops recklessly.”

“Hmph!” The Deputy General let out a cold snort before turning around, making his way out of the room in huff and puff.

However, he did understand the reason behind it.

Sending troops recklessly was indeed unwise.

But, when he thought of General Li being trapped in a dangerous situation, he had lost his cool and his emotions had taken control over him.

At this point, the elderly Lieutenant General added,

“We can’t dispatch ordinary troops, but we can dispatch a Secret Task Force.”

“Secret Task Force!?”

Someone cried in surprise, while the expression on the faces of others changed slightly.

The Secret Task Force, also known as the National Secret Forces. There were a total of ten such forces, with the National Defense Guards being the most well-known.

It was built around China’s national animal, hundreds of Pandas. It was a formidable beast-taming unit with astonishing combat power.

However, this unit could not be mobilized easily, and it was still in the process of getting acquainted with the Humans.

So, when the Lieutenant General mentioned it, others naturally understood that he was referring to another successfully created Secret Task Force — the Genomarines.

A terrifying Special Superhuman Force fused with the genes of Mutant Beasts. A slight misstep could lead to losing control.

In the past, a few kilometers of Shanghai had been razed to the ground because of Number 3 losing control. From this, one could imagine how terrifying the Genomarines were. Some even called it ‘a unit that should not exist in the world.’

Because it broke the gene editing ban, and created one new species after another.

Although this unit was now one of China’s secret weapons, if they lost control, countless terrifying races from the ancient past could reappear in the world. Such as the ruthless Werewolves or the Vampires who drank blood.

Yes, one Superhuman grew stronger by consuming blood, and he stood at the pinnacle of this unit. His power was even more formidable than it appeared on the surface.

However, due to his overwhelming strength and the fact that he consumed blood, the military had always been cautious about him.

Had it not been for the self-destruct devices implanted on his body, the military would not have dared to keep this monstrosity in the unit.
