“Even its aura has been restrained!?” Staring blankly at the nearby blood-red girl, Yu Zi Yu could not help but be speechless.

He did not expect Thorns to have such control over the blood-red vines after become a Transcendent,

She could manipulate them just like her arm; she could withdraw them with just one thought.

This was great news.

With this level of control, the probability of Thorns suffering a backlash from the blood-red vines was greatly reduced.

…

While Thorns was completely her advancement, deep in the mountains far away…

*Whirr…* Like a fleeting shadow, a green streak of light flashed through  the air. Upon closer inspection, it was a Mantis as green as emerald.

Praying Mantis, Yu Zi Yu also called him the Green Mantis.

After enduring torture for a long time, he finally chose to submit and became one of Yu Zi Yu’s subordinates. He was skilled in stealth, but his explosive power was particularly impressive.

He was a perfect assassin. And now, he was searching for the aura of his own kind.

Not only him, but most of the Mutant Beasts under Yu Zi Yu’s command were also aiming to subdue their own kind.

One reason was that their own kind spoke the same language.

And the second reason was that Mutant Beasts had always respected the strong, so the chances of subduing their own kind were greatly increased.

However, unlike other Mutant Beasts that were social animals, the Mutant Mantis Family had always acted alone, to the extent that the Praying Mantis had searched through most of the mountains with little success.

However, at this moment…

*Grrr…* A very sharp and impatient growl suddenly came from the distance.

“Hmm!?” With a faint tug of his heart, the Praying Mantis’ gaze also turned toward the horizon. [If I’m not mistaken, this seems to be Flathead’s voice.]

He was no stranger to Flathead Or rather, Honey Badger, who was as stubborn as him, was in a similar situation as he was; both of them were subdued by the Divine Tree. As a result, they both share a common ground.

Of course, this did not mean that the Praying Mantis considered Honey Badger as his friend. As always, he had always been alone. While he had submitted to the Divine Tree, it was only due to his limited strength.

He had already stated, “When the day comes when he is sufficiently strong, he will leave on his own.”

And on this point, Yu Zi Yu had also agreed.

Proud individuals like the Green Mantis should not have their edges dulled. And at this moment, after pondering for a while, the Praying Mantis let out a deep breath.

The next moment…

*Whirr, whirr…*

The air started vibrating as he turned into a blur, heading toward the depths of the mountains.

…

Deep within the mountains, there was an eerie and deathly silence.

Looking at this desolate and lifeless forest, Honey Badger with the silver hair, could not help but feel uneasy.

*Growl, growl, growl…* Growling in impatience, Honey Badger’s unease grew.

Just then…

*Swoosh!* A streak of white light flickered past his eyes.

Avoiding instinctively, Honey Badger had already pulled a distance of five meters.

However, after a moment, Honey Badger’s pupils contracted as his eyes laid upon the white spiderweb tightly bound to the ground not far away.

The next moment, the crystalline thread connected to the white spiderweb fiercely pulled. Whereupon, a large part of earth was lifted up in the air with a deafening boom.

The next moment, a huge chunk of earth rose several meters in the air before shooting toward Honey Badger like a wave of earth.

*Growl…* Honey Badger let out a growl as a ferocious gleam flashed in his eyes. Instead of retreating, he shot straight toward the oncoming wave of earth, leaving white afterimages.

In a flash, Honey Badger’s sharp claws had dug through the towering wave of earth.

However, when he emerged from the other end of the wave, his pupils shrank to the size of needles as he caught sight of a dark figure moving within the darkness in the distance, one as tall as a Human.

Its entire body was adorned with purple-black intricate patterns. It had eight powerful, long, black legs. Every time its feet landed on the ground, they pierced through the earth. Be that as it may, what was the most terrifying aspect of this figure was its pair of mandibles that were shimmering with a pitch-black radiance.

It was a Mutant Spider, and not just an ordinary one. Just the aura radiating from this creature put it at the top of the food chain, which made Honey Badger’s face turn pale.

However, at this point, it was too late to react already.

Because deep within the darkness, a Human-like mockery flashed in the depths of Spider Queen’s eyes, looking at the charging Honey Badger.

Spiders never feared their enemies. Because every enemy had been captured in their webs.

It raised its abdomen slightly, revealing countless tiny holes.

The next moment…

*Swoosh, Swoosh, Swoosh…* Countless jets of some kind of liquid shot off those tiny holes before instantly solidifying, forming a white web that covered the sky.

*Grrrr..* Honey Badger, who could not react in time, growled in fury as he got completely ensnared by the web. What infuriated him even more was that he could not move.

The incredibly strong adhesive properties of the web had firmly anchored his body to the ground. Furthermore, the web’s toughness had almost reached the level of indestructibility. When he somehow tried to tear the web apart, it only caused the sparks to fly everywhere as if he was trying to tear through steel.

*Grrrr..* He growled once more, filled with brutality.

Looking at the huge dark figure approaching slowly from a distance, Honey Badger’s hairs stood on end as arcs of electricity crackled along his fur.

Fortunately, the high temperature of lightning could restrain the Spider’s web.

Visibly, wisps of black smoke began to rise.

Even a strong, nauseating smell of something burning filled the air.

Be that as it may, the Spider Queen had already arrived within five meters of Honey Badger. Its long, black legs happened to be raised high like blades, as if it were about to strike in the next moment.

But just then…

*Whirr, whirr…*

Suddenly, the air started vibrating before the Spider Queen’s expression drastically changed.

But by the time it reacted, a streak of cold green light had already arrived before it.

*Schlick* A crisp tearing sound followed as a palm-sized hole appeared on the belly of the giant Spider Queen. The hole might have been small, but it was quite deep, deep enough for its internal organs to be visible.

What infuriated the Spider Queen even more was that this streak of green shadow, after pulling back, aggressively charged at it once more, giving rise to a gust of wind.

*Chi!* The Spider Queen let out a thunderous cry of fury before dreadful Spiritual Energy fluctuations surged from it.

The next moment, much to the Praying Mantis’ dismay, the Spider Queen started shooting countless strands of web.

These strands of web continuously weave and expand, covering an area of hundreds of meters in the blink of an eye.

In a flash, the entire ancient forest had been turned into a world of white webs.
