*Grooaar…* An inexplicable roar, as if coming straight from the distant past, resounded through the sky. Looking toward the source, the figure saw a fearsome behemoth rising to its feet. Its gleaming yellowish-brown scales looked extremely hard and sturdy. Its vertical yellow pupils flickered with madness and brutality.

Yet, upon closer inspection, a glint of brilliance could be found flickering within those pupils.

“The Prehistoric Crocodile…” Muttering to himself, the silver-haired middle-aged man halted his steps around 200 meters away from Sarcosuchus.

It was a pretty good distance. At least when the silver-haired middle-aged man halted at this distance, Sarcosuchus’ eyes could not help but narrow slightly.

“Just right outside my attack range.” A sigh escaped Sarcosuchus’ mouth as his thick, short claws slowly exerted force.

*Schlick, schlick…* Accompanied by a scraping sound, a three-meter-long gash appeared on the ground.

Meanwhile, Sarcosuchus’ tail that was over twenty meters long and resembled a steel whip, started swaying gently. Every time it swayed, it made a whistling sound, giving the impression as if it would strike at any moment.

Yet, at this moment, a voice suddenly echoed in Sarcosuchus’ ear, “Can you tell me what you’re protecting?”

The silver-haired middle-aged man’s lips curled slightly, revealing a trace of amusement as he added, “I know your Spiritual Sense is active, so communicating with me should not be a problem.”

[Communicate?] Sarcosuchus sneered inwardly but said nothing. Instead, his limbs jolted momentarily.

*Boom!* A deafening clap echoed as the ground trembled under the force of his movement. With his weight of tens of toms, and his innate strength combined, the force was truly terrifying.

A cloud of dust billowed as Sarcosuchus charged straight toward the silver-haired middle-aged man like a speeding train.

However, when he arrived around a hundred meters from the silver-haired middle-aged man, a glint of cunningness flickered deep within Sarcosuchus’ eyes.

The next moment…

His thick and massive body penetrated through the air, leaving a long, yellow blurry trail.

*Boom!*

Its speed was so terrifying that the resulting gust of wind even lifted one or two-meter-sized boulders into the air. Even more astonishing was that amidst the swirling dust, that yellow afterimage suddenly accelerated…

*Boom!*

The tail slammed into the ground with a thunder-like clap, creating a deep, hundred-meter-long crevice appearing on the ground.

However, Sarcosuchus’ expression suddenly turned stiff as he looked at the empty ground.

Yet, before he could react, another voice sounded in his ear, “You really do not want to communicate with me?”

Saying so, the silver-haired middle-aged man, dressed in a blue robe and carrying a longsword, landed steadily at the end of Sarcosuchus’ tail.

[This man…] Profound dread flashed deep in Sarcosuchus’ eyes, but he let out a long sigh. The next moment, his muscles slowly began to pulsate with an imperceptible rhythm.

His chest heaved up and down gently, like someone on a ventilator. At the same time, a suffocating aura began to fill the air.

“Prehistoric Crocodile, you certainly do seem impressive.”

Be that as it may, the middle-aged man did not seem bothered about it. For someone like him, whose Spiritual Energy far surpassed Sarcosuchus’, there was no reason to be cautious.

The only beings that could truly make him wary were those with strength far beyond his own, who were capable of suppressing him through sheer power alone. As for his peers, or even prodigies among peers, he did not have the slightest fear.

Because, he…

As if recalling something, a look of nostalgia crossed the silver-haired middle-aged man’s face.

However, at that moment…

*Swoosh…”

A yellow blur flashed before his eyes as a pungent smell assailed his nose. Looking up, the silver-haired middle-aged man saw a blood-soaked maw lunging toward him.

“It’s quite fast, indeed.” Laughing calmly and indifferently, the silver-haired middle-aged man lightly kicked the ground with his toes as his figure mysteriously flickered. In doing so, he evaded Sarcosuchus’ bite in a timely manner, while neither leaning to the left nor the right.

What made Sarcosuchus’ pupils contract was that the silver-haired man, right as he evaded, brushed his hand against the hilt of his sword on his back.

“Since you’re unwilling to converse with me, I guess you leave me no choice but to take a look at myself.”

The moment he stated this, a silver gleam flashed by.

The next moment…

*Schlick* A clear and crisp sound resounded, and Sarcosuchus’ earth-colored scales seemed as if they lost their protective ability.

The sword happened to have torn a gash with ease. And once could even see a trace amount of blood seeping out from the gash.

However, the pain seemed to have stirred the ferocious nature of Sarcosuchus.

*Grooaar…* An inexplicable roar reverberated through the air.

The next moment, rather than retreating, Sarcosuchus charged forward. At the same time, one of his thick, stout claws, driven by his muscular rhythm, tore through space at a speed akin to lightning.

“That’s some fearsome ability you got there.” Seemingly sensing something, the silver-haired middle-aged man squinted his eyes slightly, looking at Sarcosuchus’ trembling body.

[Its unique abilities combined with the physical strength of a Prehistoric Crocodile has made it a meat grinder, capable of tearing apart any opponent. Unfortunately, there is still a certain gap between our Spiritual Energy levels. And that means…] As if realizing something, the corner of the silver-haired man’s mouth suddenly rose slightly.

Subsequently, the longsword he was holding in one hand started to quiver abruptly.

*Humm…* A sword hum resonated from the sword, but it was loud as a clap of thunder, resounding through the sky.

The next moment, much to Sarcosuchus’ astonishment, the ordinary-looking sword radiated a 5-feet-long white Sword Aura.

“Well!?” A strong feeling of danger welled up within him as Sarcosuchus promptly retreated.

Sarcosuchus’ retreat was quite decisive. Of course, his ability to manipulate his muscle rhythms was equally terrifying, which granted him the ability to respond to any danger in the blink of an eye.

Nonetheless, he was still too slow. Facing the silver-haired middle-aged man who was almost at arm’s length, he ultimately lagged by a beat.

“Cut!” The middle-aged man shouted lightly, but it reverberated like a clap of thunder.

Immediately after, the silver-haired man already raised sword slashed toward Sarcosuchus.

A crescent-shaped, tens of meter long white Sword Qi shot out from the sword, crossing over tens of meters, heading straight for Sarcosuchus.

The next moment, a deafening ‘Boom’ reverberated through the forest as the ground quaked wildly. Looking up, a gigantic crocodile, 40-50 meters in length, had carved a long trench on the ground, stretching for dozens of meters.

Furthermore, one could also see a trail of blood running along the trench.

A strong and lingering scent began to fill the air–—the pungent smell of blood that could not be easily dispelled.
