The night was like a thick pool of ink, its darkness impenetrable and heavy, refusing to yield to the slightest hint of light. However, the entire North Canyon was completely silent, almost to the level of suffocation.

At this moment, deep within the mist, atop a towering Willow Tree, a young girl happened to be quietly leaning within a bird’s nest roughly the size of a bathtub.

This was a Peregrine Falcon’s nest.

However, as they were out on a hunt tonight, Yu Zi Yu was borrowing it.

“Since you want to break through, I’ll lend you a hand.” Saying so, the tip of Yu Zi Yu’s branches broke one after another instantaneously.

After a moment, a terrifying vitality began to spread from the severed ends of the branches.

*Drip, drip…* Witnessing  drops of thick, almost solidified green liquid fell  like droplets of water, Thorns’ eyes slightly widened.

“Lord Divine Tree.” Nibbling her lips, a complex expression appeared on Thorns’ face.

“Focus, and prepare to break through.” Thorns’ entire body quivered slightly, hearing Yu Zi Yu’s command. Immediately, she followed Yu Zi Yu’s instructions and collected her distracting thoughts.

Meanwhile, seeing the red-haired girl close her eyes, Yu Zi Yu’s branches also gently moved.

After a moment, with the introduction of the water of Spirit Pond, this bathtub-sized bird’s nest was filled with a rich and indissoluble vitality.

Now that he had become a Tier-3 Transcendent, the concentration of his Life Essence had also increased by a certain extent.

A single drop of Life Essence now was equivalent to about ten drops of Life Essence when he was a Tier-2 Transcendent. Even after having been diluted using the water from Spirit Pond, it was a huge opportunity for Thorns, who was just in Tier-0.

Moreover, Thorns was a Demi-Human. Her other half was a plant, sharing the same family as Yu Zi Yu. Thus, her absorption of Yu Zi Yu’s Life Essence was different from that of ordinary Mutant Beasts.

…

At this moment, looking quietly at the girl whose mind had completely sunk into her consciousness, Yu Zi Yu could not help but give her a closer look.

Perhaps it was because one half of Thorns bore the properties of plants, Yu Zi Yu found the girl before him to be rather beautiful.

Her figure was pretty impressive already, and now shrouded in mist, which hid her tempting parts, made her even more captivating. Her long crimson hair, speckled with water droplets, made her look like a maiden who had just bathed, exuding a natural charm. That was not all. Thorns’ fair skin, now as smooth as jade, had a beautiful luster.

“Tsk, tsk, if one overlooks the blood-red vines, she truly is a bewitching beauty.” Yu Zi Yu commented in his mind with a light chuckle. Be that as it may, his gaze remained completely calm.

Then, as if sensing something, Yu Zi Yu let out a deep breath.

Because at this moment…

*Boom!* Accompanied by the shaking of the entire bird’s nest, a visible storm of Spiritual Energy kicked up. Simultaneously, the blood-red vines entwining Thorns also rose in the air in response to the wind.

“Now!” With a short shout, Yu Zi Yu’s verdant green branches shot toward the blood-red vines in the blink of an eye, transforming into green Snakes.

Before the blood-red vines could react, his verdant green branches had already captured them one after another.

From a distance, the intertwining green and blood-red looked like a net of red and green.

At this moment…

*Boom, boom, boom…* A terrifying suction force emanated from Yu Zi Yu’s branches.

*Gulp, gulp, gulp…* As if swallowing something, a strange and inexplicable energy surged into the depths of Yu Zi Yu’s body.

*Ahhh, ahhh…* Almost as if wailing, the blood-red vines trembled uncontrollably.

Looking at Thorns, her shaking was even more evident.

Now, both the blood-red vines and Thorns had the same essence.

Yu Zi Yu’s act of plundering the Quintessence of the blood-red vines had a significant impact on her.

“You’ve worked hard.” Murmuring, his branches bent down, dripping more Life Essence into the bathtub-sized bird’s nest.

…

Shortly after that…

*Ha…* After taking a deep breath, Yu Zi Yu turned his gaze toward the status screen, looking at the now complete Innate Talent—Seeds of Life, his eyes flickering with glee.

Seeds of Life (Level 3) – You can now use your Spiritual Energy to nurture seeds. It utilizes one’s Spiritual Energy as the source of life to give birth to seeds. These seeds can grow into trees at such astonishing speed that a forest can be created within moments.

The introduction remained the same, but Yu Zi Yu knew very clearly that this Innate Talent of his had undergone a terrifying change.

This alone justified Yu Zi Yu’s act of plundering.

With the infusion of his Spiritual Energy, the hardness of the trees he created would continually increase until it had reached about 70-80 % of Yu Zi Yu’s own body’s hardness.

And what did it mean?

It meant that Yu Zi Yu’s ultimate move, ‘Advent of the Tree World,’ which he activated through ‘Seeds of Life,’ had undergone a qualitative improvement. Now, even in battles against the same Tier Transcendent, it could prove to be dangerous.

Now, Yu Zi Yu was confident that just this one move could lay waste to a city, essentially erasing it from the map and turning it into a forest.

“This is the Innate Talent that belongs to the Tier-3 Transcendent,” Yu Zi Yu murmured to himself as a look of ecstasy flashed on his face.

Innate Talents were of great importance.

A powerful Innate Talent could even lead to a qualitative transformation.

And now, Yu Zi Yu has obtained such a powerful Innate Talent by stealing from another Mutant Plant. How could he not be overjoyed?

However, after a moment, as if realizing something, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted.

Looking at a somewhat languid Thorns inside the bathtub-sized bird’s nest, who had completed her breakthrough, a sense of gratitude flashed in his eyes.

[It was all thanks to her. She had suppressed the resistance of the blood-red vines. Otherwise, I would not have completed the plunder so smoothly.] Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu expressed his gratitude, “Thank you.”

“…” Without a word, Thorns, tightly pressing her lips together, slowly got up.

The next moment, a beautiful scenery appeared before Yu Zi Yu’s eyes.

However, before Yu Zi Yu could savor it carefully, leaves began to slowly grow, one after another, soon covering the beautiful spring scenery.

At this moment, Thorns seemed to have sensed Yu Zi Yu’s scrutinizing gaze as a blush appeared on her face.

“Lord…Divine…Tree…“ nibbling her lips, she called out in a resentful voice, making Yu Zi Yu’s face slightly twitch.

*Cough, cough…* He cleared his throat and decisively changed the subject, “This time, I took the Quintessence of the blood-red vines. I will definitely repay you in the future.”

“Repay!?” Thorns raised her brows, looking a little surprised.

Then, she quickly shook her head and stated, “No, there’s no need for that. Although I share a symbiotic relationship with the blood-red vines, there is still a hierarchy between us. Rather I would like to thank Lord Divine Tree. After all, you’ve drawn its Quintessence, which truly allowed me to completely suppress it. From now on, I’m the Master, and it’s my subordinate. The roles are now clear.”

Saying this, Thorns lightly lifted her fingers as the vines that had wrapped around her body continuously shrank.

In the blink of an eye, they turned into a scarlet hue and disappeared into her finger.

At this moment, if one were to look at Thorns, they would be surprised to find that apart from her clothing of leaves and her stunning beauty, there was no significant difference between her and an ordinary girl.
