With a hint of surprise, a voice rang in Yu Zi Yu’s ear, “Master, I found it.”

As he looked toward the sound, a wisp of red smoke slowly rose from the ground not far away.

“What did you find?”

Yu Zi Yu narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at Qing Er emerging from the ground, he could not help but praise her in his heart. [This girl is as dependable as always.]

After shorting out her words, Qing Er replied, “Master, I discovered that General Li has awakened the memories of a Sword Cultivator from the previous era…”

Saying this, Qing Er continued, “In the deepest part of his residence, I also found an alchemy furnace and some things that do not belong to this era.”

Hearing Qing Er’s voice, a glint flashed in Yu Zi Yu’s eyes as he proactively inquired, “Qing Er, did you find something like a Sword Pill?”

Sword Pill was a treasure that Yu Zi Yu had recently discovered on the status screen of the silver-haired middle-aged man, also known as an ‘External Core.’

If Yu Zi Yu was not mistaken, this External Core was rather a valuable card up the silver-haired man’s sleeve. It was somewhat similar to the Tree Heart that Yu Zi Yu had condensed just recently, except the Tree Heart was born for survival while this ‘External Core’ was for offensive purposes.

“Uh… Sword Pill?” Puzzled, Qing Er asked in a doubtful voice.

Then, after thinking for a moment, she shook her head and answered, “No, not really. But, Master, you probably do not know how magnificent the previous era was.”

“Magnificent!?”

“Yes, magnificent.”

Listening to Yu Zi Yu’s skeptical tone, Qing Er nodded once again and recollected some rough notes she had seen before continuing, “In the previous era, Schools all Three Thousand Daos had given birth to Saints. Countless races coexisted, and all living beings sought to prove their Dao in Grand Divine Abilities.”

“Three thousand Daos, countless races, Grand Divine Abilities?” muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu’s mind could not help but recall a magnificent scene.

Countless Masters flying across the sky, leaving a dazzling trail of light cutting through the sky.

And just then, as if remembering something else, Qing Er continued,

“However, Master, there’s one thing we should be relieved about. At the end of the era, everything was reduced to primal chaos. Those Grand Divine Abilities practitioners who attempted to defy the heavens and change fate were suppressed, their souls were even dispersed to nothing, forever unable to be reborn. However, one of the fifty Heavenly Principles disappeared, eventually leaving a glimmer of hope.”

“According to the silver-haired middle-aged man’s journal, characters like him who were neither reigning the top, nor were they part of the bottom rungs, manage to escape with their lives. In other words, it was difficult for truly extraordinary beings to be reincarnated like the silver-haired middle-aged man. And even if they managed to do so, it won’t be at the early period of resurgence of Spiritual Energy. After all, the Heavenly Dao was at its strongest during this period. If they were detected, they would have to face Heaven’s Punishment.”

Listening to Qing Er’s narrative, realization dawned upon Yu Zi Yu Zi Yu.

[It’s like targeting the leaders, the more powerful they are, the easier they are to be restricted.]

Playfully smiling, Qing Er’s small mouth curved upward, and she uttered a reassuring sentence that put Yu Zi Yu at ease, “Master, the most important thing is that the previous era and the current era are different. The cultivation methods that were extraordinary back then might not work in this era. According to the speculation of the silver-haired middle-aged man, the world had changed. So, the people who have awakened the memories of their previous lives need some time to adapt to the new Principles of this world before they can start cultivating. In light of this, we all have the same starting point, at most, our cultivation methods might not be as good as theirs.”

“Oh!” exclaiming softly, Yu Zi Yu breathed a sigh of relief.

This way, he would not have to worry too much about some mysterious beings suddenly appearing and suppressing him.

He had been worried about this before, but apparently, his worries were unfounded. The individuals who had awakened memories of their previous lives were also burdened with troubles.

For all he knew, this silver-haired middle-aged man might be the most astonishing one among them.

And at this moment, as if remembering something, Yu Zi Yu asked again, “What’s the internal situation of China these days?”

“In China, only a few people have discovered the death of the silver-haired middle-aged man until now. After all, he would disappear for days without any notice only to appear out of nowhere. So, it’s normal for him to go missing for a few days.”

Nodding, Yu Zi Yu agreed. Then he continued, “So, it seems you have a lot of room to maneuver now.”

“Yeah.” Nodding slightly, a glint of insight flashed in Qing Er’s eyes.

With the death of the silver-haired middle-aged man, the Superhuman Theater Command he commanded and about 40% of China’s army would be left leaderless. Furthermore, the silver-haired middle-aged man also had eight direct disciples.

One could imagine what that meant.

Thinking of this, Qing Er requested with a hopeful tone, “Master, please allow me to spend some time among the Humans.”

“Why!?” inquiring in a calm and gentle voice, Yu Zi Yu glanced curiously at Qing Er.

“Humans, after all, are not to be underestimated. This time, it’s a rare opportunity. If I can use Ling Er’s identity to ascend to the top of power in China, and then combined with you, we could surely establish our own influence on this planet.”

As she spoke, Qing Er’s eyes shimmered with eagerness. She then continued, “With my current strength, and the ability to seize lucky encounters, I believe it won’t be difficult to control several Human cities.”

“Hmmm…” Yu Zi Yu appeared to be stunned, deeply observing Qing Er, who looked like a girl next door. He had not expected her to have such grand ambitions.

A being of other race or species ruling over the Humans would have seemed like an impossible tale in the previous era. But now, things were different. Due to a huge gap in their strength, Humans were not able to see Qing Er’s true nature.

This was, in fact, an opportunity for Qing Er.

In other words, it was a risky plan worth pursuing.

And at this moment, seeming to sense Yu Zi Yu’s hesitation, Qing Er broke into a carefree giggles before stating, “Master, even if I fail, I won’t let Humans become an obstacle for you. During this period of time, with me keeping things in check, you can fully start building your Tree Monster Kingdom. After all, the Human’s monitoring satellites around Sichuan have already been eliminated by you.”

“Our Misty Mountains are like a barrier between Humans and Mutant Beasts. In other words, Humans have almost zero control over the wilderness behind us. And this is our opportunity.”

Listening to Qing Er’s analysis, Yu Zi Yu’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, but he did not reject the idea.

[Qing Er is indeed right. Humans have lost control over the area around Sichuan. But is it really a good idea to found the monster kingdom so soon? As the popular adage goes, ‘the bird in the lead always gets shot.’ It’s a lesson learned from past experiences.]

However, after a moment, as if he had thought of something, Yu Zi Yu let out a deep breath.

[I guess, I don’t have much of a choice. The second wave of Spiritual Energy Tide is approaching. The Mutant Beasts would undergo a new round of transformation at that time. If I did not take advantage of this time to rapidly expand the power and status of the Mutant Beasts, it would become much harder to do so in the future.]

With these thoughts, Yu Zi Yu nodded, “Alright, this time let’s do it as you suggested.”

“You stabilize the internal affairs of Humans, and I…”

Slowly raising his gaze, looking at the endless mountains behind him, flames of ambition slowly started raging in the depths in Yu Zi Yu’s eyes.

“I will establish a true kingdom and become an unrivaled overlord.”

The moment he stated this, the surroundings of North Canyon trembled as a tremendous pressure gradually spread about.

Simultaneously, within a radius of thousands of meters, countless arcs of electricity crackled in the air.

It appeared both divine and terrifying.

It was the unique ability of a Tier-3 Transcendent, the Spiritual Field, which can also be regarded as the symbol of Tier-3 Transcendents.
