Meanwhile, deep within Misty Mountains, the area which was designated as the inner ring by Yu Zi Yu…

With a loud and thunderous boom, a figure shot out like a cannonball.

“Bang, bang, bang…” After smashing through several trees in succession, the person finally managed to come to a halt. However, upon closer inspection, his chest had been completely shattered, and he seemed to be gasping for his last breath.

“Hu…mans…” Mumbling in a cold voice, Golden Ant’s expression turned a bit icy.

Originally, they had intended to venture deeper into the earth to seize the opportunity mentioned by the Divine Tree. However, they had not expected that so many Humans would arrive in these two days, to the point that even the Golden Ant and other Mutant Beasts had no choice but to withdraw from the depths of North Canyon.

Fortunately, the Fourth Brother, the Sarcosuchus, was also here.

With him overseeing the situation, coupled with the current strength of North Canyon, they were capable of keeping most people at bay.

…

Meanwhile…

*Screech~* A cry of a Crane echoed through the sky.

The next moment, a graceful snow-white Crane suddenly flapped her wings.

*Swoosh…* Her white wings transformed into blades as she swiftly passed by.

The next moment, a slashing sound was heard as a Human head instantly flew into the air.

“Well done.” Calmly praising, Golden Ant also cast a deep gaze at the White Crane.

The White Crane was originally one of the few birds that had followed the Divine Tree. However, she had always remained inconspicuous due to the presence of the eight rulers of the sky, the Peregrine Falcons.

Unexpectedly, she had silently advanced to the Tier-0 Level 8, and her strength was enough to even make Golden Ant narrow his eyes.

*Screech, Screech, Screech…*

Several more soft cries followed, as if conveying something. Then, White Crane spread her wings and took to the skies.

As a bird, she had the duty of patrolling.

If anyone managed to break through the blockade of Golden Ant, the Storm Wolves, and other Mutant Beasts, she and the eight Peregrine Falcons would serve as the second defensive line.

As for the third defensive line, the final line of defense, it was Sarcosuchus stationed at the entrance of North Canyon.

Of course, Leng Feng, as a Human, could only stay within the guarded depths of the canyon. Having not earned their trust, he had no choice but to behave.

At the slightest movement, Sarcosuchus would undoubtedly be the first to strike down the invaders. As for Thorns, she teamed up with White Tiger, and were the first defensive line.

To some extent, this was also a form of surveillance and Thorns understood this.

…

However, Thorns’ face was now displaying a rare smile, looking very happy.

With her dainty white feet raised, she was sitting on the White Tiger sideways.

From time to time, she would gently lift her jade arm, swaying the blood-red vines in her hand, and then notify, “Quick, Third Brother, there’s movement in that direction.”

As she spoke, White Tiger let out a long roar and transformed into a streak of white light, pouncing toward a certain spot.

But the next moment, before his claws could reach the horrified Human below…

*Schlick* A blood-red vine had already pierced through the Human.

Immediately after, White Tiger’s pupils contracted as he witnessed the blood red vine pulsating as if swallowing something.

Before long, a withered corpse came into White Tiger’s view.

“It wasn’t me, it was the vine, the vine.” Seemingly aware of White Tiger’s puzzled gaze, Thorns nonchalantly explained.

Then, after a moment’s thought, she added, “The blood-red vines need to grow, and blood is their favorite food.”

“Um… alright.” After a brief silence, White Tiger continued on to the next location.

However, White Tiger’s gaze towards Thorns, his Sixth Sister, became somewhat unusual.

[Fourth Brother had been worried about her betrayal for nothing. This woman is even more ruthless than we had thought. While it was the blood-red vines consuming blood, who would believe that the blood-red vines would consume blood without her permission?]

Of course, White Tiger did not mind this.

[It’s just consuming blood, and Elder Sister had mentioned that even among Humans, there are those who awakened the Talent to devour blood and become stronger. Moreover, they could only consume ‘Human blood’ to become stronger.]

Compared to such Humans, someone like Thorns, who could no longer be called a Human, could not be labelled cruel and ferocious regardless of her actions.

After all, weren’t even Humans merciless to their own kind?

…

However, at this moment, what White Tiger and Thorns did not know was that not long after they had left the area, a person’s face suddenly appeared on a giant tree.

However, this person’s face was filled with utter fear, as if he had seen something terrifying.

“A woman is riding the White Tiger…” the man muttered in a hoarse and broken voice as the giant tree slightly trembled.

After a moment, a thin man with a pointed face and completely drenched in sweat emerged from the giant tree.

His name was Li San, a Intermediate Level Superhuman with a special Innate Talent.

Penetration – The body can pass through anything.

This was quite a dangerous talent; just a slight negligence could lead to the owner of this talent to split in two.

After all, while passing through objects, if he lost control of his Innate Talent, his entire body would ‘snap’ into pieces.

Because of this, Li San rarely used his Innate Talent.

However, it had to be said that Misty Mountains were truly hair-raising. If he did not possess this Penetration special talent and could not merge with trees or the earth, he might have been devoured by the ferocious Mutant Beasts a long time ago.

The Mutant Beast of Misty Mountains were extremely terrifying. The strength of these Mutant Beasts far surpassed that of ordinary ones. But more importantly, he had just seen something unbelievable: a woman sitting on a mutant White Tiger.

He was in total disbelief. At first, he thought he was mistaken. Had he himself not triple-checked it, Li San would not believe it even if someone beat him, that someone could tame such a powerful mutant White Tiger.

Of course, he believed in taming weaker Mutant Beasts. After all, there was now a profession in the Human world – Beast Tamer, focused on controlling and fighting with Mutant Beasts.

A prime example of this was the circus, as well as animal trainers emerging from zoos and marine aquariums. Even many pet owners have taken up this profession.

However, while animal trainers could tame Mutant Beasts, their pets grew up in cities. Not only do they lose their wild side, but they also lack the nourishment of the rich Spiritual Energy, which was only available deep in the forests and mountains, making them far from being ‘powerful.’

Most of them remained in the Low Levels. An Intermediate Level Beast Tamer was enough to attract the attention of a small city and even receive a personal audience with the mayor.

And now, what did he see?

A woman was riding a High Level mutant White Tiger.

A mutant White Tiger, the most violent and strongest among Mutant Beasts.

Moreover, it was a High Level one. The sheer pressure alone made his legs go weak, reaching a level of inducing terror.

[Damn it…] With countless thoughts racing through his mind, Li San’s scalp could not help but tingle. Leaving aside where this duo came from,  just witnessing them hunting Humans earlier sent shivers down Li San’s spine. It was a chill that rose from the soles of his feet and made his whole body tremble.
