As the mutation continued, Qian Qin, who was wrapped tightly by the blood-red plant, could not stop trembling.

Be that as it may, Yu Zi Yu keenly noticed something very interesting.

For instance, the aura of Qian Qin and the blood-red plant were gradually merging. The aura resembled neither Human nor Beast, it was a strange and indescribable quality.

Another example was that Qian Qin’s body was undergoing some unknown changes.

Yu Zi Yu could not determine whether it was good or bad, but he could sense that the ‘rebirth’ of Qian Qin might bring him some surprises.

And just at this moment, as Yu Zi Yu was carefully observing Qian Qin, his pupils slightly contracted. It was because not far away, a blood cocoon actually formed around Qian Qin, completely enveloping her, resembling an eggshell.

“Hmm?” Yu Zi Yu was filled with astonishment, but he did not take any action.

He could sense that this blood cocoon was beneficial for both Qian Qin and even the blood-red plant. It was akin to nurturing an entirely new life.

“A brand-new life, huh?” murmuring to himself, Yu Zi Yu’s anticipation grew.

…

Meanwhile, Qian Qin slowly curled up like a baby within the blood cocoon.

She had a relaxed look on her face, as if in a deep sleep. However, what was astonishing was that new sprouts were budding on her fair as ivory skin.

These sprouts bloomed into thick blood-red vines that wrapped around her. Furthermore, around her private parts of her body, palm-sized leaves sprouted, concealing any hints of impropriety.

“I…”

Suddenly, she furrowed her brows, feeling her head a little heavy. She attempted to open her eyes, but felt unusually exhausted. To her surprise, the Spiritual Energy surging within her body was stronger than ever before.

“Wait, who am I…” She slowly opened her eyes, rubbing her temples due to a headache.

The next moment, a blood cocoon entered her eyes.

At first glance, the cocoon seemed quite terrifying. Yet, the girl found it strangely familiar, as if this cocoon was a part of her body.

Gently raising her finger, she lightly touched the cocoon, which immediately caused it to break.

In an instant, it transformed into liquid and flowed between her fingers. And just then, a seductive, blood-red figure appeared before Yu Zi Yu.

This girl was different from Qian Qin. She had long crimson hair cascading over her shoulders like waves. Her body had blood-red vines entwined all over.

“Her figure is really hot…” Yu Zi Yu smacked his lips, staring at her in a daze.

For some reason, as he gazed at this figure, a peculiar sensation emerged in his heart. An unusual sensation, clearly beyond the norm.

It was worth noting that he was a Willow Tree, so how could he possibly develop thoughts about Humans?

Unless…

As if realizing something, Yu Zi Yu’s peculiar gaze shifted to the blood-red vines entwining the girl’s body.

[Could she have completed a symbiosis with the blood-red plant and become a Plant-Human Hybrid? A Human, who is like a plant. No, to be more accurate, it was more like a plant than like a Human. Apart from looking Human, she would exhibit more plant-like qualities.]

This girl gave Yu Zi Yu a feeling that she had become a Plant-Human Hybrid, a Vine Nymph.

“I…” Muttering once again, a trace of bewilderment flashed in the depths of the girl’s eyes. But after a moment, as if struck by something, she suddenly held her head.

The next moment, a surge of information flooded her mind.

‘Qian Qin,’ ‘Human,’ ‘North Canyon,’ ‘Divine Tree,’ ‘blood-red plant’…

Familiar yet unfamiliar fragments of memories kept flashing in her mind.

Time seemed to stand still for who knows how long. The air in the underground plaza seemed to have frozen.

At this moment, the Vine Nymph standing at the center of the plaza slowly raised her head, looking at the dark tree roots not far away. Immediately, a hint of fear flashed in the depths of her eyes.

“Divine…Tree…” she muttered softly before kneeling on the ground.

Simultaneously, the countless vines sprouting from her body also lowered themselves on the ground, as if in a gesture of reverence.

“Do you remember now?” with a playful tone, Yu Zi Yu asked with interest.

“It’s still a bit jumbled, but I’ve recalled most of it.” At this point, Qian Qin suddenly lowered her head and glanced at the vines coiling around her body which made her look hideous. She then asked, suppressing her voice as if she was on the brink of sobbing, “Divine Tree, can I still be called a Human now?”

“Well…” After a moment of hesitation, Yu Zi Yu shook his head and frankly stated, “I can’t say anything with certainty.”

However, shortly after, as if he remembered something, he kindly reminded her, “But can you imagine returning to the Humans in your current state?”

A look of playfulness appeared on his face, noticing Qian Qin’s pretty face turning pallid.

[Return to the Humans!? Is that even possible?] A whisper repeated in her mind as Qian Qin’s whole being froze. Having been a Human once, she naturally understood how Humans treated those who were different.

If she were to return to the Human world in her current state, she would not last a day before being ‘invited’ into some experimental laboratory. And more importantly, one knew their own body best. Apart from partially remaining Human, she had transformed more into a plant.

If that mysterious voice had not misled her, she and the blood-red plant were now in a strange symbiotic state. She owed her current existence to the Divine Tree severely injuring the blood-red plant, which resulted in most of its consciousness being extinguished.

Otherwise, the blood-red plant would not have clung to her for survival and it would have truly replaced her.

With these thoughts, Qian Qin bit her lower lip, and her fists clenched tightly.

However, just as she was struggling with her emotions, the blood-red vines seemed to have sensed her distress as they slowly rose, as if offering her comfort.

“…”

A silence ensued, a pin-drop silence.

Qian Qin stared at the blood-red vines, her face laced with a mixture of complex emotions. It was this damned blood-red plant that had taken away her Humanity. Yet, at this moment, she found it hard to hate it. Instead, there was a sense of heartache…

As if she was lamenting the injuries sustained by the ‘blood-red plant.’

Symbiosis, after all, was not parasitism, nor was it mere attachment. As such. while Qian Qin was in control of her body, she was also influenced by the blood-red plant.

Fortunately, the blood-red plant’s actions were instinctual, and it had suffered significant damage as well.

This meant that its impact on Qian Qin would not be too great, at best, it would merely affect her emotions.
