“So this is a Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite, huh?” With a sense of realization, Yu Zi Yu could not help but murmur to himself.

The Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite was China’s most heavily guarded top-secret technology. Even Qing Er could not uncover more information about it.

All that was known was that even among the Permanent Five, America, even with its advanced technology, had coveted it, even exchanging cutting-edge core technologies for it.

However, America was destined for disappointment.

Because only with the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite could China maintain its grip on the situation. In other words, it was the only way for China to be the first to know about the appearance of powerful Mutant Beasts.

Without the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellites, China would not be in such a stable position.

Of course, the question remained, why America failed to develop its own Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellites.

No one knew.

Rumor had it that China’s Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellites were related to something that was impossible for outsiders to replicate.

Thinking to this point, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes slightly narrowed.

Because at this moment, he had a feeling, as if… he could attack this Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite.

[Is it really possible?] Amid his skepticism, a flicker of excitement flashed through Yu Zi Yu’s mind.

The next moment…

*Buzz…* A horrifying vibration suddenly spread through the air, creating ripples after ripples. The next moment, a leaf began to slowly rise from Yu Zi Yu’s canopy.

This willow leaf was as sharp as knives, and happened to be slightly trembling.

This willow leaf was the one that Yu Zi Yu had been refining.

It was the skill Yu Zi Yu had learned before – Flying Willow Leaf Blade. And the more he refined it, the sharper and more powerful it became, reaching a point where nothing could escape it.

Of course, with Yu Zi Yu’s current strength, even with prolonged refinement, it was difficult to bring the Flying Willow Leaf Blade to the point of instilling fear in everyone.

However, things were different now.

Because this willow leaf was surrounded by the colorful hues, which was giving off a strangely beautiful feeling, and its powerful aura was so terrifying that it was even affecting its surroundings, causing ripples to appear in the air around it.

Moreover, what made Yu Zi Yu’s heart race was his current peculiar state…

In this strange state, he could even briefly pinpoint the location of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite above his head.

[Maybe, there’s a slight chance.] Thinking this, Yu Zi Yu’s Spiritual Energy surged suddenly.

*Boom…* Visible to the naked eye, the colorful Spiritual Energy surged toward the leaf above his head.

In an instant, the willow leaf started glowing brightly. Simultaneously, a tremendously sharp aura which not even the mist could conceal shot through the sky.

“Don’t disappoint me.” Yu Zi Yu whispered and took a deep breath.

The next moment…

With a swish, a fleeting wisp of colorful radiance zoomed through the sky, shooting straight into the night sky.

It was extremely swift. Swift to the point where the naked eye could not follow.

Even someone as powerful as Yu Zi Yu could only catch a glimpse of its shadow.

And this was the Flying Willow Leaf Blade.

Thanks to continuous refinement, it could unleash strength far beyond its level.

Now, in Yu Zi Yu’s peculiar state, relying on the colorful Spiritual Energy, the Flying Willow Leaf Blade displayed a sharp aura that seemed to defy the heavens.

Looking up, there happened to be a faint colorful rift in the darkness as if the sky had been ripped apart.

“No way.” With a hint of incredulity, Yu Zi Yu could not help but exclaim.

Upon closer inspection, it truly was a rift.

And now, this colorful rift was slowly closing…

As for the Flying Willow Leaf Blade, after flying into that rift, it had completely disappeared.

Until a moment later…

In Yu Zi Yu’s astonished gaze, another rift emerged in outer space.

*Swoosh* Silently cutting through the air, a willow leaf-shaped flying blade surrounded by colorful brilliance shot out in an instant, directly targeting a precision instrument a hundred meters away.

Without any surprise, or rather, faced with this deadly attack that had torn through space, the precision instrument could not withstand it.

With a crack, the flying blade pierced through as easily as piercing through tofu.

Even the robust metallic outer layer of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite was insignificant against the fearsome edge of the Flying Willow Leaf Blade.

The next moment, a terrifying burst of Spiritual Energy erupted.

*Boom!*

Even though it was outer space, where sound could not propagate, a deafening roar still resounded in Yu Zi Yu’s ears. However, for Yu Zi Yu, it was as melodious as music.

As his grin spread on his lips, Yu Zi Yu felt an unprecedented sense of fatigue overwhelmed him.

A moment later, before he could react, a deep darkness engulfed him.

Along with that, his countless branches gradually drooped down as if they had withered.

Meanwhile, just as Yu Zi Yu successfully shot down the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite, the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau fell into a deathly silence, staring at the 10% of the screen that had turned black all of a sudden.

They had lost surveillance on the entire Sichuan, including the surrounding deserts, the northern regions, and more.

“What the Hell happened!?”

Everyone glanced at each other, everyone’s face turning pale involuntarily.

It was gone.

It was gone just like that.

Their proudest invention, the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite, had unexpectedly disappeared!

More importantly, their Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellites were not just monitoring a few locations. It was monitoring the entire China and its autonomous regions, and special administrative regions as well!

But now, they had suddenly lost surveillance on one-tenth of their territory.

Moreover, judging by the last flicker they saw, everyone had a premonition that the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite was not malfunctioning, but had been intentionally destroyed.

Thinking this, a shiver ran down everyone’s spine.

[How is this possible? To attack a Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite in outer space and destroy it? How could such an unbelievable creature appear out of nowhere? Impossible. This is completely impossible!] Gritting his teeth, the Deputy Director of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau took a deep breath and then looked at the staff member beside him, ordering in a feeble and despondent voice,

“Project the final footage of Satellite No. 3 onto the main screen and notify General Li and Professor Yan.”

General Li was the most important general in the country, commanding 40% of China’s military power. He was also a first-tier veteran, well-versed in various matters.

Professor Yan was one of the founders of the Spiritual Energy Research Institute and one of the few senior professors involved in the research of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellite.
