*Roar, Roar, Roar…* One after another, deafening roars shook Misty Mountains.

Subsequently, the mist surged as gusts of winds blew across the mountains. One by one, the Humans within the outer and inner parts of Misty Mountains wore a look of despair, staring at the fearsome behemoths appearing deep within the mist.

“What a joke? How could there be such monsters?” Roaring in disbelief, the features of a young man distorted, gazing at the nearby giant Bull of mist carrying a mountain on its back, treading the mist.

Fear, despair…

Extremely complex emotions were intertwined on his face.

But after a moment, as if realizing something, the young man’s expression changed to one of surprise as he shouted to his companions not far away, “It’s an illusion, it must be. Look. Misty Mountains can deceive our perception, can’t it? This must be an illusion, our eyes are deceiving us.”

With his words, the young man rushed toward the Mist Bull standing on the mist, seemingly to prove his point.

“It’s all an illusion… it must be…” Before he could finish speaking, the enormous hoof of the ginormous Bull appeared directly above him.

The next moment, in the horrified gazes of countless people…

With a deafening boom, a massive quake shook the entire forest, causing the ground to shake uncontrollably. Much to everyone’s shock and dismay, cracks appeared on the ground, spreading in all directions. It was dreadful and horrifying and it also shattered any hope.

“No, no…”

“I want to go home, I want to go home.”

Crying in despair, numerous Humans fled in panic.

Some were so terrified that their legs gave way, slumping to the ground, a strange smell wafting from their nether region.

And thus, the Mist Beasts unveiled their true terror on a large scale to the public for the first time.

Furthermore, Yu Zi Yu did not need to intricately control the Mist Beasts. The Mist Beasts were formed from his concentrated mist, and each Mist Beast carried a trace of his psychic power

At his level, all he needed to do was issue a command – guard Misty Mountains and eliminate any Humans who had stepped inside, and the Mist Beasts would then execute his orders like machines, coldly and methodically.

This was one of the fearsome aspects of a Tier-3 Transcendent. His immense psychic power had almost reached the level of materialization, rivaling the abilities of some Tier-1 Superhumans with Psychic Talents.

With a bit more practice, he could do things that only those with Psychic Talents could.

For example, multitasking, as in real multitasking, dividing his attention in multiple places.

He could allocate a wisp of his psychic power to the Mist Beasts to carry out the orders he had given, while he focused on more critical matters at hand with his real body.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu was earnestly understanding the power of Tier-3. His roots continued to spread at a far greater speed than ever before, father and deeper into the earth.

Now, if one were to look into the depths of the earth, they would witness a network of roots resembling a spider’s web wantonly spreading in the depths of the earth like a plague of Pythons, traversing the depths, looking sinister and fearsome.

Occasionally, they would encounter subterranean life forms, which would be devoured in the blink of an eye.

From time to time, clear and crisp system prompts would ring in Yu Zi Yu’s ears.

“Amazing…” Deeply sighting, Yu Zi Yu felt that more than half of Misty Mountains were under his control.

Yu Zi Yu believed that in the near future, the depths of the entire Misty Mountains would be filled with his roots.

These roots would spread across the land like a spider’s web, eventually supporting the entire Misty Mountains.

And on top of these web-like roots, Yu Zi Yu would proceed with the next step—establishing a city.

In his current state, he could support an underground city.

It would not be a small town, but a magnificent city, comparable to a metropolis of the Humans.

On another note, Tier-3 was not so simple. Yu Zi Yu could feel the vast sea of Spiritual Energy within him, surging through every fiber of his being like blood.

The current Yu Zi Yu now possesses at least a million Spiritual Energy. And the accumulation of a million Spiritual Energy had given birth to new abilities.

As these thoughts swirled in Yu Zi Yu’s mind, he immediately tested his new ability.

*Boom!*

Accompanied by a terrifying roar, a dreadful pressure spread out with Yu Zi Yu as center.

*Crackle, crackle, crackle…* In the void, visible arcs of lightning crackled one after another.

This scene left not only the Mutant Beasts of the North Canyon prostrating themselves, but even Yu Zi Yu himself was astonished.

Indeed, this was a unique ability of the Tier-3. It was truly horrifying.

Spiritual Field – The concentration of a million Spiritual Energy can even distort magnetic fields, which in turn ripples through reality, affecting the surroundings.
This ability had little impact on Transcendents of the same Tier, but it was lethal to lower Tier Transcendents. Especially for advanced weapons of Humans, if they failed to ‘t tear through the Spiritual Field of a Tier-3 Transcendent, their power would be significantly diminished.

What was even more ridiculous was that if Human electronic devices entered Yu Zi Yu’s Spiritual Field, even if he did nothing, they would become ineffective.

What did this signify?

A smile tugged the corner of Yu Zi Yu’s lips as an intelligent gleam flashed in his eyes.

[No wonder most Human technology declined at the advent of the Era of Transcendence. It isn’t hard to imagine why technology didn’t advance during the Era of Gods and Immortals. It wasn’t due to a lack of desire to develop, but rather the difficulty in advancing in those fields.]

Of course, this was merely Yu Zi Yu’s speculation. He still could not say anything for certain.

…

“I wonder if there have been any changes to my status screen?” Muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu shifted his gaze to the status screen for the first time after advancing.

Race: Mutant Willow Tree

Rank: Tier-3 Transcendent (Catastrophe)

Evolution Points: 12983 (Can be obtained by absorbing unknown energy and refining under the sunlight, or by preying on other animals, even plants, and extracting from them.)

Innate Talents:

Superb Regeneration (Level 2, Upgradeable) – A terrifying talent unique to the plants. It greatly enhances the speed of regeneration. Even if relatively fragile parts like branches are damaged, they can regenerate in an instant with the help of the surging energy in the body. (Upgraded Regeneration Ability – Even if the majority of main body or roots are destroyed, you can slowly regenerate through the remaining fragments.)

Seeds of Life(Incomplete): You can now use your Spiritual Energy to nurture seeds. It utilizes one’s Spiritual Energy as the source of life to give birth to seeds. These seeds can grow into trees at such astonishing speed that a small forest can be created within moments.

Abilities: Mutated Branches (Level 3) – While they can be easily manipulated at will, these terrifying branches can also secrete a toxin that can paralyze and even render their prey unconscious. Moreover, they can split and grow, undergo a quantitative transformation, growing from one to ten, ten to hundred, and so on…

Mutant Roots (Level 3) – Each root is as dreadful as a Flood Dragon. They can absorb plants and animals as nutrients. What’s even more terrifying is that upon contact with plants and animals, these roots can also extract Spiritual Energy, which further strengthens their ability to strangle their prey.

Spiritual Field – The concentration of a million Spiritual Energy can even distort magnetic fields, which in turn ripples through reality, affecting the surroundings.

Mastery of Mist (Level 3) – You can control the mist at your will. While the mist serves as the eyes, it can also transform into anything you want.

Hallucinogen (Level 2) – Using the mist, you can affect the mind of animals, plants, and even Humans, inducing sensory confusion, and blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion.

Mastery of the Earth Element (Level 2) – You can manipulate the Earth Element, turn the ground into waves, submerging everything. Also, you can also alter geology, burying the main body into the ground.

Flying Willow Leaf Blade (Level 2) – After nourishing the willow leaf with your Spiritual Energy, continuously refining it, you can shoot the leaf like a blade. The purer the refinement, the more smoothly the Spiritual Energy can flow through it, and the farther the range and greater the power of the Flying Willow Leaf Blade.

Wood Dragon (Level 1) – The primary root has transformed into a Dragon, taking one step to achieving the pinnacle. The absorption power of the primary root is greatly enhanced, enabling it to consume all things and devour everything, until it firmly takes root in the deepest part of the planet and uses the entire planet as a nutrient.

Minor Divine Ability: Crystallization (Entry Level) – By harnessing the power of the earth, one can crystallize parts or even the entirety of the body. This crystal-like body can significantly enhance one’s defenses. If mastered, one can truly become indestructible. It would be next to impossible to destroy its user, unless attacked by another Divine Ability.

Choosing to overlook some abilities, Yu Zi Yu’s focus shifted toward Level 3 abilities and two additional abilities.

“Did my roots undergo a new transformation during my advancement? They actually gained an additional peculiar ability to extract Spiritual Energy!?” Muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze could not help but flicker incessantly.
