A wisp of red smoke rose from deep within the earth, like a rainbow. In an instant, it whizzed out thousands of meters away.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of North Canyon, as if sensing something, the silver-haired middle-aged man suddenly furrowed his brow, as a faint sense of danger gripped his heart.

“Hmmm!?” Murmuring, the silver-haired middle-aged man was also a little astonished. Ever since he had awakened his Innate Talent – Ancient Wisdom, it was the first time had felt such a feeling of crisis.

Even when facing the mighty Prehistoric Crocodile, he did not feel such a crisis. While the Prehistoric Crocodile was strong, it was like a moving target in front of someone like him who was walking on the path of Sword Cultivation.

The innate Sword Qi he had cultivated possessed natural restraining properties. Sword Cultivators focused mainly on attack. In addition, his innate Sword Qi was exceptionally sharp.

In front his vast Spiritual Energy infused into the Sword Qi, Sarcosuchus had already been beheaded by him had it not been for the Prehistoric Crocodile’s terrifying physique. And yet, even he, with his tremendous strength, felt a sense of danger.

He could not explain it, yet the silver-haired man calmly opened his hand. The next moment, a suction force suddenly emanated from his right hand.

At the same time, the long sword that was already a bit damaged thanks to its clash with Sarcosuchus scales started trembling slightly. Then, it instantly transformed into a streak of silver light, heading straight into his right hand.

However, before the streak of silver light could reach his hand…

*Swoosh!* A wisp of red smoke rose from the earth, and immediately after, a burst of cold Spiritual Energy gushed forth.

*Boom!* Two palms clashed with a deafening bang akin to a peal of thunder. In the aftermath of the clash, the area within hundreds of meters of the duo was engulfed in towering waves of soil, rising tens of meters high.

Yet, the killing intent of the red smoke showed no signs of abating and it attacked once again.

“Just in time.” Amid hearty laughter, the silver-haired man flung the Peregrine Falcon in his hand toward the approaching red smoke. Then, his figure promptly charged forward.

*Boom, boom, boom…”

The two clashed with each other again and again at such an astonishing speed that their figures only left blurs. It was no longer to see them clearly.

The red smoke was like a ghost, incredibly elusive.

The figure in blue, on the other hand, turned into a streak of blue light, zooming through the sky.

However, with each exchange of blows, the silver-haired man’s furrow became deeper.

It was not just because the strength of the wisp of red smoke exceeded his imagination, but also because it gave him a sense of familiarity. He felt as if they had met before.

“Who’re you?” Murmuring, the silver-haired man generated a gust of wind with his palm, blowing fiercely toward the cheek of the red figure, where a red veil of Spiritual Energy happened to be hiding the face of the figure in red.

*Boom!* The wind generated by the palm with the help of the Spiritual Energy blew past Qing Er’s face, blowing away the veil hiding her face in a moment of her carelessness.

“You…” As if witnessing something unbelievably shocking, the silver-haired man’s expression changed drastically. Be that as it may, Qing Er did not have any reservations. Since she had already decided to kill him, there was no need for her to hide her intentions.

She was hiding her face behind a veil, and had even revealed a familiar aura, all to exploit the moment when the silver-haired man’s momentary loss in concentration.

*Bam!* A powerful palm strike, bearing tens of thousands of Spiritual Energy, landed abruptly on the chest of the silver-haired middle-aged man.

*Spurt*

Groaning in pain, the silver-haired middle-aged man’s face turned palm as his figure was sent flying.

*Cough, cough…* Several hundred meters away, the silver-haired man, now kneeling on one knee, covered his mouth, and could not stop coughing. Looking closely at his palms, the blood on his palm was mixed with what seemed like pieces of internal organs.

“Great! Just Great!” Laughing in misery, the severely injured silver-haired man slowly raised his gaze, and stared at the cold and beautiful girl in red dress not far away, a look of disbelief flashing across his face.

[No wonder I found her aura a bit familiar!? No wonder!?] A smile of self-mockery tugged at the corner of his mouth as he coughed a few times.

“Teacher, how was my palm strike?” While laughing in a cold and cheerless manner, Qing Er looked toward the nearby silver-haired man with a tinge of sarcasm on her lips.

General Li was the Generalissimo of China. He was also known as one of the Twin Titans of China. Be it in terms of power of status, he had reached the pinnacle of China. However, few people knew that he was the Commander of Eastern Theater Command of China, also known as the Superhuman Theater Command now.

Anyone Superhuman who had stepped into the Eastern Theater Command would have to address him as Teacher.

Qing Er’s Human body, Ling Er, who was known as the ten Heroes of China, became General Li’s eighth Direct Disciple after she entered the Eastern Theater Command. Thus, when Qing Er sensed the silver-haired man, she did not immediately make a move.

Not because the silver-haired man was Ling Er’s Master. Regarding this, Qing Er just brushed it off with a smile. No matter how long the mask was worn, it was still a facade. She naturally had not developed a mentor-student sentiment toward the silver-haired man just because of a chance encounter.

However, she hesitated a bit.

This was not because she had developed some feelings, but because if she did not manage to finish the silver-haired man at the first opportunity, and he managed to escape, that would cause significant trouble.

At the very least, Yu Zi Yu’s plan to have her spy on the Humans would go down the drain.

Others might not notice anything, but after encountering her, how could Superhumans who had met Ling Er not make the connection between Ling Er and Qing Er?

It was not just their appearances that were similar, even their auras were about 80-90% similar. However, that was not the focal point. The real point was that this guy, as one of the Twin Titans of China, wielded astonishing power and authority.

If he were to escape, then her Master’s fear might come true. The silver-haired man would have no qualms in dropping a nuclear bomb here. And then, things would not be as simple as the injured Sarcosuchus.

So, considering the big picture, Qing Er did not strike immediately.

However, things were different now, the victory and defeat was already decided.

While her palm strike might not be able to finish the silver-haired middle-aged man, it had severely wounded him.

And now, if one were to look around, they would definitely notice that Mutant Beasts had already surrounded this place, forming concentric circles one after another.

[He can’t escape.] Muttering in her heart, Qing Er raised her right hand.

*Boom!*

An eerie and terrifying Spiritual Energy began to swirl continuously, forming a storm visible to the naked eye.

Primordial Essence–A mysterious battle technique.

This was the initiation gift that the silver-haired middle-aged man bestowed upon ‘Ling Er’. Using this move to send him off was a repayment for his previous teachings.

“Are you Ling Er, or…” Calmly looking, the silver-haired man remained composed, though his ghastly pale complexion revealed the extent of his injuries.

“Whether I’m Qing Er or Ling Er, there is no denying that you’re going to die right here and right now.” Qing Er calmly stepped forward, maintaining a stoic face. Meanwhile, the storm of Spiritual Energy in her hand became even more terrifying. Even the mist covering the sky started billowing, as if the weather itself was changing.

*Tch…* The silver-haired man slowly rose to his feet. He did not flinch one bit at the sight of this dreadful scene. Instead, his gaze shifted towards the depths of the canyon.

“I’m truly curious about what’s inside the depths. To think it possesses such means, manipulating the entire China in the palm of its hand.” Saying so, the silver-haired man’s gaze shifted again, this time to Qing Er, speculating, “You and Ling Er must be sisters, right? I’ve reviewed your information, but now, I wonder, what have you done to your sister? Is it Soul planting, body possession, or…”

One by one, unfamiliar terms were uttered from the silver-haired man’s mouth, causing Qing Er’s brow to furrow slightly.

Soul planting, body possession…

She had no idea what these terms meant, but did not sound positive at all.

As for her sister…

Qing Er scoffed inwardly. Qing Er realized that the silver-haired man seemed to have misunderstood something.

She was just a wandering Soul that had gained sentience. Blood relations stemmed from the physical body. Since she was just a Soul, all connections to her past life had been severed.

In fact, it could even be said that aside from her appearance resembling a Human’s, she was an entirely new life form. Like her Master, she had no family, no friends; she was an anomaly in the world.
