*Vroom, vroom, vroom…*  The earth trembled as billows of dust rose into the air.

One truck after another streamed out of the city. However, there were not only trucks. Armored vehicles and countless soldiers were accompanying them.

A directive had come from the highest command of China – to erect high walls around every city as soon as possible. Due to this command, countless factories were mobilized, and laborers worked tirelessly through the night.

Naturally, China was a true ‘construction maniac’. When it came to construction, there was no further explanation needed.

In just a short half-night, city after city had efficiently organized their manpower. If not for the fact that the army that would be guarding them had not yet been fully arranged, they would have acted even more swiftly.

…

While China sprang into action…

Tranquility was far from North Canyon’s sight as well.

*Boom, boom, boom…*

Root after root, buried deep in the earth, started churning the soil like Earth Dragons, as they extended in all directions. Yet, the owner of these roots, Yu Zi Yu, narrowed his eyes.

After all, this was not his doing.

“What on earth is happening?” Murmuring to himself, Yu Zi Yu sought to find the reason behind this.

After a moment, his consciousness delved into the deepest recesses of the earth.

Deeper, and deeper…

To the depths where Yu Zi Yu’s sub-roots could never reach, then, he slowly opened his eyes.

This was where his primary root was located.

Only by utilizing the Wood Dragon ability, constantly diving deeper into the earth like a Dragon trying to pierce through the earth, could his primary root reach this depth

It might be 3,000 meters…

Or maybe 5,000…

Or perhaps even 10,000 meters.

Yu Zi Yu was not entirely certain how deep this way. After all, without a specific reference, it was challenging for him to gauge how deep this formidable tree root was. It truly resembling a Wood Dragon that had penetrated into the earth.

However, one thing was certain – it was truly deep here.

Even now, as Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness descended upon this place, he felt an oppressive sensation.

Everything here was hard, really hard. The hardness of the surrounding rocks was on a completely different scale.

If Yu Zi Yu’s guess was correct, they were very likely highly rigid peridotites, which represented exceptionally hard rock formations.

However, despite the hardness of the rocks, they were fragile in the face of Yu Zi Yu’s primary root, especially when he employed Spiritual Energy.

Stretching his primary root slightly and simultaneously channeling a bit of Spiritual Energy into them…

*Crack, crack, crack…* Accompanied by numerous crisp cracking sounds, the previous sense of hardness vanished.

“Now, this feels much better.”

Saying this, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness spread outward, searching bit by bit.

He could sense that the reason his roots were extending in all directions was influenced by his primary root.

It was as if the energy of the primary root had reached saturation, unable to release it anywhere, and was now continuously channeling the energy to the sub-roots.

Just then, as if he had discovered something, Yu Zi Yu’s pupils abruptly contracted. Along his gaze, Yu Zi Yu observed a faint, barely perceptible multicolored glow emanating from the pitch-black depths of the underground, as dark as the night.

And this glow was gradually rising from the depths of the underground like a tide.

“No way?” Yu Zi Yu, who rarely flustered, had his eyes widened in shock and surprise.

It was Spiritual Energy.

And an unimaginable concentration of it at that, to the point that it was almost on the verge of liquifying. The concentration was so high that it was visible to the naked eye. Furthermore, the soil eroded by this glow seemed to harden, while the rocks gained a metallic texture.

It was precisely this rich Spiritual Energy that was continuously being absorbed by Yu Zi Yu’s primary root.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu noticed that at the tip of the primary root had been absorbing the multicolored glow, avidly and constantly.

However, this multicolored radiance was incredibly vast.

When Yu Zi Yu extended his perception, he even realized that the depths of the earth, spanning kilometers and even tens of kilometers, was exuding this multicolored glow.

Furthermore, slowly, bit by bit, it was extending.

Its speed was not fast, but by estimation, it would reach the surface in three or four weeks.

And what did that mean?

“A new round of evolution, or an era of rampage…” Murmuring to himself, Yu Zi Yu was not concerned; instead, a hint of fervor surged in the depths of his eyes.

He knew that a genuine opportunity had arrived. Or rather, his chance to ascend to the ultimate peak had come.

Being the first among all Mutant Beasts on the continent to make contact with such vast Spiritual Energy, meant that he would evolve ahead of the rest of the Mutant Beasts on the continent.

As for the oceans, he was not sure.

However, he was destined to be the ruler of the continent.

“But before absorbing it, I need to inform Qing Er and the others.”

Shifting his consciousness, Yu Zi Yu directed his attention to Qing Er’s resting place.

“Ah!?” Listening to Yu Zi Yu’s account, Qing Er covered her mouth in disbelief.

“Yes, that’s right. A new round of evolution has come, and this time I’m grabbing hold of it.” Murmured Yu Zi Yu, unable to hide his excitement.

He did not need to hide anything from Qing Er. As for others, unfortunately, only a few have the qualifications to share in this opportunity.

“This should be what my professor referred to as the ‘Spiritual Energy Tide’.” Accepting this explanation, Qing Er breathed a sigh of relief and used a term that Yu Zi Yu had never encountered before.

“Spiritual Energy Tide!?” Yu Zi Yu asking with a tinge of astonishment, a bit puzzled.

“The Spiritual Energy Tide is a theory about Spiritual Energy proposed by one of my professors. He proposed that Spiritual Energy used to exist long in the distant past, but it was much like tides, sometimes rising and sometimes receding.

If the Spiritual Energy Tide receded, all progress in cultivation came to halt, and every living being descended into mundanity. Moreover, due to the disappearance of Spiritual Energy, those SuperHumans who failed to adapt gradually perished, giving rise to a true era of decline. This is also why our world has legends of immortals but lacks their presence.

Currently, we have caught up with the era when the Spiritual Energy Tide is rising, one cycle surpassing the previous one… From now on, the boundary between the divine and the mundane will disappear…”

Listening to Qing Er’s explanation and recalling the multicolored Spiritual Energy rising like waves that he had witnessed earlier, Yu Zi Yu could not help but admire the Humans’ intellect.

This theory and the scene he had seen before together indicated that there was a significant chance of this theory being correct. If it were truly the case, then this era could only be described as a genuine grand era.

And he, Yu Zi Yu, happened to be right in the midst of it.

*Haha…* Without concealing his excitement, Yu Zi Yu burst into laughter.

After a moment, he looked at Qing Er and instructed, “Qing Er, later, my consciousness will truly sink into the depths of the earth to absorb this vast Spiritual Energy. In the meantime, arrange some of my trusted subordinates, like Golden Ant, Qing Gang, and the others, to venture toward the depths of the earth. Being able to make contact with Spiritual Energy even a day earlier would be a significant stroke of luck. Of course, if they can’t endure it, they should retreat immediately. After all, if their bodies can’t handle the Spiritual Energy, even Gods can’t save them.”

At this point, Yu Zi Yu deeply gazed at Qing Er once more and candidly suggested, “Don’t go to the Human World during this period. You should accompany me to the depths of the earth in your Soul form…”

“Got it, Master.” With a slight curl of her lips, Qing Er also understood why Yu Zi Yu suggested it.

Such an opportunity might only come once in a lifetime. After all, by the time the Spiritual Energy Tide surged to the surface, who knew how much of it would have dissipated?

In the current situation, its density was enough to transmute rocks into metal, transforming the very earth itself. Yet, opportunities like these were genuinely rare, only occurring once in a millennium.

If Qing Er’s speculation was correct, when the Spiritual Energy had fully risen, this planet would likely transform into a world of cultivation.
