Back in the canyon, Thorns proceeded toward the small grove of trees as before.

However, at this moment, as if sensing something, Thorns’ footsteps suddenly halted.

Turning around, she was startled to see a lean figure gazing silently at her.

“I’m fine,” Thorns stated. The corners of her lips slightly pursed, drawing a very seductive smile.

“Are you really fine?” Gazing at this familiar yet unfamiliar figure, Leng Feng faintly saw Qing Gang’s shadow in her.

Just like him, she had completely changed overnight.

Just like him, she had become unfamiliar in the blink of an eye.

Now, Leng Feng found his familiar companion growing increasingly distant. He felt as if there was a wide ridge between them, a distance that he was unable to close.

“I’m really fine,” as she affirmed once more, the vines swaying around Thorns’ body also relaxed.

They did not sense any danger from him.

Seeing this, Thorns’ smile grew bigger and bigger.

Not every Human rejected her, at least not the one before her. Unfortunately, Humans and Monsters were ultimately different. There was no returning to the past.

Heaving a sigh, Thorns slowly turned around and headed toward the grove that seemed like a land of ghosts.

However, just as Thorns’ figure was about to vanish into the depths of the forest, a well-intentioned reminder echoed in Leng Feng’s ear, “Sometimes, it’s not a bad thing to make a choice.”

“A choice, huh?”

Gazing deeply at Thorns’ disappearing figure, a hint of hesitation appeared on Leng Feng’s face. The shadow cast by the moonlight seemed to have sensed something, and gently swayed, as if struggling.

However, after a moment, he shook his head helplessly. Then, Leng Feng resolutely turned around. After all, unlike Qing Gang and Qian Qin, he still had a family waiting for him.

…

Meanwhile…

“Something is weighing on his mind.” Qing Er, landing on Yu Zi Yu’s tree top, remarked with curiosity, looking at the nearby Leng Feng.

“Something on his mind?” Yu Zi Yu cast a long glance at the figure that had entered the wooden house, feeling a little puzzled. He had not noticed any emotional turmoil in this seemingly cold youth. Be that as it may, since Qing Er said so, it must be true. After all, as a unique entity with Psychic Talents, Qing Er was far better than Yu Zi Yu when it came to judging emotions.

At this point, Qing Er shifted her gaze, no longer dwelling on this matter. Compared to delving into a Human’s emotions, Qing Er was more inclined to help her Master on various tasks.

With that in mind, Qing Er spoke up, “Master, I’ve got my hands on the ‘SSF (Special Superhuman Forces) Training Programme’ that you’ve asked me to investigate last time.”

While speaking, Qing Er’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Following that, a series of information surged into Yu Zi Yu’s mind in rapid succession.

“So intense!?” As the information flowed into his mind, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes could not help but widen. [Is this supposed to be training? It’s no different than slowly torturing people till their death!]

Sensing Yu Zi Yu’s surprise, Qing Er covered their mouth and stated, giggling, “The most primitive methods are often the most effective ones.”

At this point, Qing Er pondered for a moment before adding, “However, Master, though this training method is primitive, it does indeed mitigate many possibilities of secondary injuries. Moreover, it can most effectively bring out the potential of the Chimpanzee Tribe.”

“That’s true.” Nodding, Yu Zi Yu agreed with her to some extent.

Just the fact that the push-ups had to be done strictly according to the set movements that a ruler might be needed spoke volumes. More importantly, this training regimen did not require any kind of equipment, which could compensate for the shortcomings of North Canyon.

If the training required electrotherapy or some sort of drug, Yu Zi Yu would have found it really challenging. After all, while such things might be ordinary for regular Humans, they posed significant difficulties for Yu Zi Yu.

“In that case, I’ll pass this training programme to Qing Gang.” Saying so, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness shifted, moving underground.

After a moment, a vast plaza entered his sight. Vaguely, he could see groups of Chimpanzees carrying massive stones in twos or threes.

Meanwhile, Qing Gang was not staying idle either. In just a short moment, he had already circled around the center of the plaza several times.

“Here, yes, place it right here…”

“You idiot, I told you to put it here. For Heaven’s sake, can’t you understand Human speech?”

…

After shouting again and again, Qing Gang finally made the Giant Chimpanzee realize its mistake.

*Wu wu…* Whimpering softly, the Giant Chimpanzee rubbed the back of its head and lowered its head in embarrassment.

*Heee…* Yu Zi Yu smiled, finding it amusing.

Despite Qing Gang’s stalwart figure, he appeared a bit weak before these Giant Mutant Chimpanzees. Even so, he successfully managed to tame these uncivilized Chimpanzees.

It could be said that Qing Gang had his methods.

And that was sufficient for Yu Zi Yu.

With this in mind, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness switched position again before a series of information was transmitted to Qing Gang’s mind via psychic power.

*Boom!* Accompanied by a thunderous noise in his mind, Qing Gang’s brain was slightly rattled. Then, as if realizing, he exclaimed with joy, “Lord Divine Tree… you’re here.”

“Yes.” Affirming, Yu Zi Yu also apologized, “I’m not skilled with the precise manipulation of psychic energy, so my information transmission might be a bit rough.”

“It does not matter, it does not matter…” Grinning, Qing Gang was also quite excited. Especially after recalling the wealth of information in his mind, which would be extremely useful for himself. He was really overjoyed.

“Organize them and try to devise a training programme unique to our North Canyon.”

“Yes, Lord Divine Tree,” assured Qing Gang, patting his chest.

The training methods in his mind were far from simple. The level of detail alone was enough to make anyone’s scalp tingle. With such detailed training methods, if Qing Gang could not organize a set tailored to North Canyon, he might as well bash his head against the wall.

However, what slightly puzzled him was how Lord Divine Tree managed to obtain this classified SSF Training Programme.

[Moreover, judging from its traces, it seemed to have come from Human hands. Could it be…]

As if he had thought of something, a hint of astonishment flashed in Qing Gang’s eyes.

However, Yu Zi Yu did not pay attention to Qing Gang’s expression. Instead, Yu Zi Yu changed the topic and candidly stated, “These training methods carry a significant risk of causing physical injuries. When necessary, you can lead the Chimpanzee Tribe to the Spirit Pond. Furthermore, I grant you permission to bring a few outstanding individuals from the Chimpanzee Tribe to the underground plaza every five days to cultivate using Spirit Stones.”
