Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 50 Escape

Chapter 50 Escape
The translucent system panels are thus suspended in sight.

Lin Ye thought at first that he was being blinded.

He repeatedly rubbed his eyes and identified them many times before finally confirming the authenticity of the [Faction] information.

In other words, he is not only a human being, but also a Zerg creature?
The impact of this sudden situation was far stronger than the discovery of the insect nest.

It also caused Lin Ye’s blood pressure to rise in a short period of time, and he was so dizzy that he couldn’t breathe.

He staggered to his feet, and subconsciously stretched out his hand, wanting to check whether his limbs had undergone a mutation.

Thank God, nothing unusual happened to me.

He didn’t want to wake up and become the lobster man in ”District Ninth”...

Although there is no change in the body, there are many completely unfamiliar memory fragments in the mind.

Some are blurry, some are clear, and there are even pictures that resemble black and white silent films.

And in his vague memory, he saw those humans in strange costumes.

Of course, there may also be creatures that look almost the same as humans.

Who are they?

What camp do they belong to?

But as far as Lin Ye knew, apart from the human camp in this catastrophe, other creatures such as zombies and Zerg were all ugly and terrifying alien creatures.

He hadn’t seen a...creature dressed like that.

There are also those wooden building boats decorated with totems, which do not sail on the sea, but fly in the air.

Lin Ye has never seen such technology.

Shocked, he returned to his senses and looked at the situation around him.

The light source has been completely absorbed by him, and the entire hatching pond is abnormally dark, and the purple eggs suspended in mid-air are nowhere to be found.

Could it be that the energy pulse just now detonated it?

But there was not a single bit of wreckage left on the ground.

While thinking about it, dense and noisy sounds came from around, as if Zerg reinforcements had arrived.

Because of the movement from the hatching pond, the entire insect nest was in chaos.

After all, this is the core area, where the future of the Zerg race is stored.

Therefore, all the Zerg fighters who can breathe are all encircled and suppressed here along the tunnel.

Lin Ye didn’t dare to stay longer. He decided to slowly study everything that happened here after returning to the floating island.

He climbed on the uneven wall and was about to leave the hatching tank.

But less than halfway through the climb, a thought suddenly flashed in my mind.

Under normal circumstances, the Zerg will select multiple eggs for cultivation, and place one or two eggs in each hatching pool.

Among them, the one with the best development and the highest aptitude will be successfully hatched into a queen.

In order to facilitate management and care, the hatching pools in the nest are all close together, just like a bunch of grapes.

According to the development progress of the nest, the eggs can expand from three to five at the beginning to dozens of eggs.

Therefore, now is an excellent opportunity to destroy the insect nest.

If you can destroy all the hatching pools inside the worm nest before leaving, then you can save yourself a trouble in the future.

Even if the Zerg cannot be wiped out, it can at least slow down their development.

Thinking of this, Lin Ye let go and jumped back to the ground, and immediately bought high-energy explosives from the system mall, preparing for fixed-point blasting in multiple directions.

Using the previous method, he blasted multiple potholes on the wall with the shotgun he carried, then buried explosives in the holes, and installed a timer.

After burying it, Lin Ye immediately stepped on the protruding spar and climbed into the tunnel he came in earlier.

Ten seconds later, a series of violent explosions occurred in the hatching pool. Accompanied by the rapidly expanding flames, scorching air waves rushed into the tunnel in an instant and spread far away.

The outer tunnel was already extremely fragile. After such an explosion, the top of the cavern directly split open and hid in the gap, and fine sand seeped out.

Lin Ye got up from the ground, briefly dusted himself off, and immediately returned to check the situation.

But what surprised him was that under the cracked spar wall, there were still gray-brown rocks, and there were no other adjacent hatching ponds at all.

This is completely different from the insect nest structure he knew at the beginning!
Things were too strange, but the explosion just now made the situation even more critical.

Before he could think about it carefully, the negative spider in the insect nest had already rushed here first.

The negative spider is responsible for nurturing and caring for the young Zerg warriors in the nest. Although it can cause very limited damage, it has a large body and high vitality.

Moreover, the most troublesome thing is that the negative spider is also covered with small rock spiders.

But even a young rock spider is about the size of an ordinary domestic dog, and if it is accidentally bitten, it will cause a certain degree of danger to life.

Lin Ye quickly raised his gun to aim, pulled the trigger, and killed all the bugs rushing in in the passage, and he also smashed the negative spider behind him into a sieve.

Just as he rushed out of the passage, what he was worried about before finally happened.

The bullets on the 870MCS shotgun were not empty, but the receiver was deformed due to overheating and sand penetration, and the bullets were directly stuck in the chamber.

In desperation, Lin Ye had no choice but to buy a new AA-12 shotgun in the mall, and then equip it with a special shotgun. Before the next wave of enemies came, he ran along the passage towards the upper floor of the insect nest go.

Of course, in the process of running, he did not forget one crucial thing.

That is dropping high explosives with timers along the way.

Although he didn’t destroy the other hatching pools this time, at least most of the nest area was reduced to ruins.

It also happened to let those Zerg creatures that were raging outside to hide at home and work for a while.

Lin Ye ran up the tunnel, but not long after, he suddenly stopped and leaned over to listen.

Ahead, there seemed to be a dense buzzing sound.

It’s the stinging bee guarding the outside of the insect nest!
These guys are extremely fast, ordinary humans can’t run them on flat ground, let alone in tunnels.

Lin Ye glanced at the back of the tunnel. It might be too late to run now, and it’s simply not realistic to be tough from the front.

In the midst of a crisis, his gaze suddenly rested on the lifeless negative spider.

Perhaps, this is a no way!

He quickly put away the gun, took out the short knife and cut open the soft abdomen of the spider, and then endured the physiological reaction of almost nausea, and hid his whole body in it.

Although high-level Zerg creatures possess intelligence, they are sometimes blinded by their own eyes.

A few seconds later, the stinging bee came in support, skimmed over the dead spider on the ground, and quickly rushed into the hatching pool along the tunnel.

But they wandered around inside, but found nothing, so they immediately issued a sharp and piercing warning sound, and turned around to chase away.
