Chapter 92 Internal Contradictions

Chapter 92 Internal Contradictions

While waiting for the candidates from the elite and elders, Lin Ye, Rita and other senior officers chatted about temple security.

To his surprise, the laws and regulations inside the temple were extremely strict.

The Temple Guards will impose night control on the urban area. They prohibit all nighttime activities. Once a resident is found to violate the regulations, they will be exiled directly to the surface of Aiir after the second warning.

In addition, Lin Ye also learned from Rita that the Temple Elders and the elite had jointly issued an order explicitly prohibiting large-scale entertainment, including unapproved gatherings.

”Why do you do this?” Lin Ye was puzzled.

Rita didn’t hesitate, she responded:
”Because there are always some people who will take advantage of the chaos to spread false statements and shake the hearts of the civilians in Ayer. There have been many such things in the past...”

Lin Ye sat up straight: ”Elder Erwin can read people’s hearts, isn’t he? You can let him find the guy who disturbs people’s hearts!”

Rita was also a little helpless, she leaned back in the chair and explained:
”This is just a waste of effort, because even if one person is found, others will come out to cause trouble, but Elder Erwin cannot keep an eye on those people all the time!”

Lin Ye is a bit strange, unlike a human city protected only by high walls and thermal weapons.

These Ayres obviously lived in the temple with a high safety factor, not threatened by the Zerg outside, and even had food, clothing, housing and transportation, so why did they make such a move.

You know, the humans living in the United City are always in fear.

Maybe if nothing happens today, the city wall will be breached by alien creatures tomorrow.

Lin Ye asked the doubts in his heart, but saw Rita smiled helplessly:
”Because those people always feel that the Temple is creating illusions to deceive them. The outside world is not so scary at all. Creatures like Zerg are all lies fabricated by the Temple!

You also heard just now that the Temple Guards will exile residents who violate the law, but some people will always say that those people are still living well outside.

They even described the beautiful world outside in a serious manner, which made many Ayre people believe the rumors of these people and follow the hype. ”

Lin Ye frowned, feeling very puzzled by the behavior of these people:

”Didn’t the temple be invaded by Zerg creatures and rebels before? This should be the best proof!”

In his opinion, if this kind of event that shocked the entire temple did not wake up these people, it could only show that they had a big problem in their thinking.

Unexpectedly, Rita, who was sitting beside her, shook her head.

She said lightly: ”No matter how hard we try to explain, they will find reasons to distort our words.”

”Haven’t they seen Zerg creatures before?” Lin Ye asked.

”Most of the people making trouble were born in the temple. Some of the older people have never left the temple in their lives, and...”

After explaining this, Rita suddenly paused, and then said helplessly:

”In order not to let the new generation fall into an endless loop, the elders of the Temple and the elite have changed the contents of the textbooks hundreds of years ago.

The education these young Aiers received was to create a false world, where there are mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, plants, trees, birds and animals...

Now, instead, the real world is in front of them, but they don’t believe it anymore. ”

This operation was really confusing. When Lin Ye wanted to ask something, the system sent a reminder that several large ships had landed around the castle.

It seems that the group he invited has arrived!
Lin Ye informed Yu Rita of this information, and the latter took several officers to the main hall to greet those people.

A few minutes later, the other two major forces of the temple appeared in the council hall.

Hearing that the new head of the temple was going to summon the big guys, those elite Ayres immediately burned incense and bathed, changed into the most decent clothes, and hurried over.

In addition, they even went to many meeting ceremonies, with large and small packaging boxes piled up all over the floor.

This surprised Lin Ye a little. He thought that the people in the temple lived a frugal and poor life.

The person in the lead stepped forward with an exquisite box in his hand: ”This is the most famous spar on El Star!”

”I didn’t expect you to hide such a good thing!” Lin Ye smiled lightly, took the box and put it aside.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, the candidates for the Temple Elders also came over.

They are very polite, and there are all kinds of cumbersome etiquette when they come up, but this politeness hides the meaning of refusal thousands of miles away.

They recognized Lin Ye’s current status as the new Lord of the Temple, but they did not recognize his ability.

A few of them changed their faces faster than turning the pages of a book. Just as they greeted each other with a smile on their faces, they stood there with indifferent expressions on their faces, as if nothing had happened.

After a series of awkward meetings, Lin Ye and the two parties sat down and chatted for more than half an hour.

At first, everyone had good suggestions and ideas about the planning and development of the city.

But when Lin Ye mentioned that he would change the teaching materials and lift the curfew, the elites and the candidates of the Temple Elders all changed their faces.

Even with Rita’s persuasion, they still refused to give up.

It seems that it is not a matter of overnight to eradicate the chronic diseases of this city.

Lin Ye rubbed his temples and asked everyone to rest for a while, while he left the council hall, ready to go out to take a few breaths.

Leaving the meeting room, Lin Ye walked through the long corridor, and walked into his office according to the guidance of the system floor map.

Gently pushing open the double wooden doors, he stepped on the soft carpet into the office, and then observed the furnishings in the room.

This place is much more spacious than the previous one, and the dark brown desk alone is twice as large.

Behind the desk is a two-story bookshelf. Of course, there are no books on it now, only some exquisite decorations, such as bronze statues and models.

If Lin Ye needs it, he can ask the people in the temple to bring some books related to the Al civilization here. He just wants to learn more about the past of the Al civilization.

On the side of the bookshelf, Lin Ye saw the wine cabinet hidden in the wall, which was also empty, and he needed to choose some high-quality wine and fill it in.

Lin Ye looked around and was quite satisfied with the place. However, the coffee table in the middle of the office and even his desk could use some modifications.

For example, he was very interested in the long table and sand table in the residence of Elder Erwin.

Lin Ye walked through the bookshelf, opened the sliding door hidden at the back, and came to the wide balcony.

The view here is very good, you can see the scientific research center, medical center on the left side of the castle, and the military center on the right side.

Right in front is the central square, through the large statue, you can see the city block of the temple, and row upon row of buildings come into view.
