Chapter 60 The Creator's Game

Chapter 60 The Creator’s Game
”Finally? What do you mean?”

Looking at the tall figure that suddenly appeared in front of him, Lin Ye couldn’t help feeling a little nervous:

”I just came here to inquire about some situations, and by the way, help that temple elder named Irwin complete a mission that sounds mysterious.”

The figure on the crystal seat is made up of flickering light spots, so his specific appearance cannot be seen clearly.

However, judging from his voice, this person is very young.

And from the outline, it can be roughly seen that he is wearing a suit of armor, which is the same as the equipment standard worn by the temple guards seen before, but the details are more complicated.

”My name is Jialan, and I am the last leader of Star of El. I have been waiting for you!”

With that said, Jialan stood up from the crystal seat and walked slowly.

The sudden move made Lin Ye subconsciously step back a few steps one after another.

But after listening to what the other party said, he understood something, so he immediately frowned:
Could it be that this figure is the ”Lord of the Temple” that Erwin mentioned?
Unexpectedly, the ”real person” was far stranger than he imagined.

Although Lin Ye has seen some creatures that can exist in the form of energy bodies, he has never encountered such energy bodies with special will.

Even if this guy doesn’t appear to be malicious, something could go wrong.

In the event of a ”thinking invasion” or a ”will seizure”, there would be no room for recovery.

Therefore, for safety reasons, Lin Ye had to be on full alert.

Although all his previous weapons and equipment were taken away by Erwin, owning the system mall was equivalent to carrying an arsenal with him.

He picked out some heavy-duty, lightweight automatic rifles and loaded them with high-capacity clips.

Although lead-core bullets can’t cause effective killing effects, they can at least interfere with the magnetic field of the energy body, making their forward speed affected to a certain extent.

Since you can’t fight, then there is always a chance to run!
But at this moment, Lin Ye noticed that the light emitted by the crystal seat formed a transparent light curtain, bounded by the rune array on the ground, covering a circular space of less than ten square meters.

Under the ruthless obstruction of the light curtain, this energy body who called himself Jialan couldn’t get out of the range of the talisman array.

It was like being imprisoned in a transparent glass cover with flashing light spots.

The atmosphere was a little awkward, so Jialan could only stand in the circle and wave to Lin Ye, and said loudly:

”No matter when you were reborn or where you were reborn, it is fate that we can meet here.”

Destined?

Lin Ye never believed in such things.

The last time I heard this was on a certain dating website, but I was cheated out of thousands of membership fees that night.

Of course, this is all the story before rebirth.

Even though he knew that this person could not go out of the circle, Lin Ye remained vigilant, and instead of rushing forward, he crossed his arms and asked:
”How do you know that I will come to El Star and come to the temple to find you?”

Jialan smiled mysteriously, leaned against the light curtain, and joked:

”This is the fate after rebirth. No matter how you resist or escape, fate will still dominate your future!”

”How do you know that I am a reborn person?” Lin Ye couldn’t help but frowned after hearing what the Lord of the Temple said, so he asked very curiously, ”And it sounds like you know the rules of rebirth very well ?”

In addition to the illusory figure trapped in the light curtain in front of him, the elder Erwin also saw through him as a reborn person at the first glance, as if he had written the word rebirth on his face long ago!
This puzzled him very much!
However, Jialan’s next words let Lin Ye know extraordinary information.

Jialan lightly touched the flickering light curtain, watched the rippling ripples and continued:

”Those who fell in the catastrophe but were favored by the Creator will be given a chance to be reborn. There is only one chance.

Once successfully reborn, there will be a special mark left by the creator on the body, and I can clearly see it. ”

”The Creator? A special mark?” Lin Ye immediately lowered his head and began to search for it on himself.

But after he scanned it with the system, he didn’t find anything abnormal in his body.

Lin Ye is a firm materialist fighter. Although he believes that there are civilizations on a higher plane in the world, he is still skeptical about terms with fantasy like ”creator”.

Jialan saw what Lin Ye was thinking, but did not refute him directly, but continued to explain:
”That’s right, if He wants, he can find your current location immediately and monitor your every move.

More importantly, there is not only one person reborn, ranging from dozens to hundreds.

These people are selected by the Creator, come from different races, and are reborn in different time periods, in order to lead their own group to the final victory.

And the reborn can also feel each other’s existence, the closer the distance, the stronger the feeling! ”

”According to what you said, the apocalyptic catastrophe was also a trick played by the Lord Creator?” Lin Ye wondered.

In the decades before rebirth, in addition to fighting alien creatures, human beings have been investigating the cause of the catastrophe.

However, human beings are not strong enough, and the investigation is blocked everywhere.

But in the end, a conclusion was reached: this is not a simple interstellar invasion, every faction in the catastrophe is being drawn by an inexplicable force, and has to launch a brutal war in order to survive.

”You can also say that, because this is also a set of game rules created by Him.” Jialan responded.

He was afraid that Lin Ye would not understand, so he introduced the rules of the game in detail:

”In this set of rules, when the civilization of a certain planet enters a certain stage, it will trigger a catastrophe.

The alien creatures sent to the cataclysm are completely random. They may come from distant galaxies, or they may be neighbors less than ten light-years away from you.

The number and camp of alien creatures are based on the civilization evolution process of the planet. The higher the civilization level, the more the number and camp of enemies. ”

Hearing this, Lin Ye immediately showed an unbelievable expression:

”No, the blue star I’m on was born 20 billion years later than the Al star, and the civilization established by us humans is far from the current height of the Al people.

But in the doomsday catastrophe, there are already five camps of enemies on the blue star! ”

According to his previous life experience, after Blue Star entered the cataclysm, in addition to Zerg, zombies and silicon-based creatures, mechanical life and the mysterious civilization of the old gods would appear one after another, and humans could only survive in the cracks.

Jialan paced back and forth in the spot thinking, and after a moment of silence, he raised his head and responded with affirmative tone:
”That can only show that the planet you are on hides a higher civilization, but you humans haven’t discovered it yet!”
