Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 90 Surrender

Chapter 90 Surrender
”From now on, I, Lin Ye, will be the new Lord of the Temple, your new leader!
The oracle crystal in my hand, the armor on my body, and the will inheritance I possess are the best proofs!

Although I come from a distant alien planet, I am not familiar enough with this planet, this temple, and everyone present.

But please rest assured, I will obey the final instructions of the chief temple elder Erwin and the former temple master Jialan.

I will lead you to get rid of the Zerg’s day-to-day war threat, and I will lead you to rebuild the glory of El civilization!

......”

The light curtains that rebuilt the temple are still executing the upgrade order for a moment, and the noise generated by the construction of buildings can be heard from time to time throughout the temple.

However, under the effect of the simultaneous broadcasting of several buildings and ships, Lin Ye’s voice overwhelmed all other sounds and echoed throughout the entire temple.

In the streets and alleys of the city, all the Ayre people stood in place, watching Lin Ye in the giant screen in silence.

The young El children wanted to discuss something in whispers, but their parents stopped them by covering their mouths.

And those Ayer civilians of the older generation had extremely serious expressions, and it was hard to tell whether they were happy or angry.

In the passage of the ancestral temple, the temple guards came from the ground and reported the situation on the street to Lin Ye truthfully.

After listening to the narration of these soldiers, Lin Ye looked at the oracle crystal in his hand, and was a little surprised for a while.

However, when he appeared on the communication screen just now, the belief value of the system was obviously updated.

Is there anything wrong with what he said just now?
Isn’t his sincerity not enough?
Rita, who was standing aside, looked at the communication equipment of Lou Chuan with a serious expression on her face.

Anyway, the new Lord of the Temple is an alien.

If he is not recognized by everyone, then there is a high possibility that unexpected things will happen next.

The seeds planted by the rebels in people’s hearts may take advantage of this opportunity to take root and grow wantonly.

Just when everyone was sweating secretly, strange movements came from the crowd on the street.

A group of Ayre people near the central square, these people are obviously dressed more dignifiedly.

The leader said a few words to his companions behind him, and then they all knelt down on one knee facing the direction of the ancestral temple, with their left fists clenched across their chests.

When the crowd standing behind them saw this situation, they followed suit and knelt down on one knee facing the same direction.

Afterwards, this action seemed to be contagious. Aiers in a street, a block, and even the entire temple paid high respects to Lin Ye and the new Lord of the temple.

The temple guards reported this phenomenon again. Lin Ye, who was standing in front of the communication equipment, slowly raised his head. He took off his helmet and bowed deeply to all the Ayre people on the ground.

It wasn’t until Lin Ye straightened up that those Aiers slowly stood up from the ground, and the atmosphere in the streets and alleys gradually became lively.

But some young children, who have never seen the outside world, began to ask the adults some questions:
Is this guy great?
Can this man lead us to victory?
In fact, these children do not know what victory is.

Some ignorant children had never even seen those so-called Zerg creatures drawn in textbooks before today.

Perhaps this closed barrier of the sky is the imaginary enemy that has appeared in their hearts since they were young.

Only leaving here is called victory.

And the adults standing next to the children actually have no idea.

In the eyes of these people, in the more than 100 years since the catastrophe began, the Aiur civilization collapsed at an extremely fast speed. Even if the surviving Aiur people hid under the protection of the temple, there was almost no hope.

In the beginning, there was also a meeting of the elders of the temple in the central square, which was inspiring.

But later, the gatherings became less and less, and the faces of the elders became more and more serious.

Today, no so-called rally has been held in more than 30 years.

In fact, they all knew it in their hearts, but they were desperately maintaining the only remaining hope like a bubble.

These Ayre people with their families actually want to know urgently, can the new Lord of the Temple really lead them away from the turmoil of the war?
At this moment, Lin Ye, who was under countless gazes, also knew the great responsibility of being the Lord of the Temple.

Therefore, he must arrange all the affairs in the temple as soon as possible, so that the city can resume operation.

He told the Templars waiting on the side to turn off the communication equipment, and then took everyone on board the tall ship and went to the lord’s castle to discuss matters.

Now the labor force of the floating island is sufficient, but how to manage it is a difficult problem.

Although Lin Ye is the lord of this large floating island, not everything needs to be done by him himself.

At least a few administrators should inform him of the specific situation inside the temple, and then plan the future development direction of the temple together, and help him deal with complicated and trivial matters.

Lin Ye thought of the elders group Elvin said, which is an indispensable organization.

Giving faith and uniting people’s hearts can play a vital role at certain times.

So, he leaned on the side of the boat and turned to look at Rita:
”I want to rebuild the elders of the temple that your father mentioned, and then you will be the chief elder. How about it?”

Rita is not only Erwin’s first daughter, but also the commander of the temple guards, with a double halo, no one would object to this suggestion.

In the past, Rita would have refused without even thinking about it.

But now everything has changed, especially when she heard her father’s last words, the wayward and paranoid in the past was finally completely abandoned by her.

”Okay, then I will be the chief elder. There are still some seniors in the temple. I will invite them to be the elders of the council!”

After agreeing, Rita looked up at Lin Ye and asked, ”Then, who should be the commander of the Temple Guard?”

Hearing this, Lin Ye turned around and looked at the people on the floating island standing behind.

Among them, the only one who has leadership experience and has the highest [Command] attribute is Major Sim.

”Let him take over!” Lin Ye raised his hand and pointed at Sim who looked puzzled.

Although Sim is a major, he has only led a team of a few hundred people before, and he does not have the same special abilities as Cheng Bei and Qin Lie.

But compared to Cheng Bei, he is more mature and experienced in dealing with the world, and compared to Qin Lie, he has a lot more strategies.

What’s more, he was able to lead hundreds of people to survive for three full months in the precarious doomsday, and ordinary military officers could not do this.

In addition, Lin Ye felt more at ease letting his own people take up the management position in the army.

Because no matter how the Aiir people in the city regard themselves, there are always some people who will disagree.

At the least, they raised flags to protest and took to the streets to march, and at worst, they took the lead in making troubles and advocating rebellion.

If the Ayre people are allowed to deal with their compatriots who have committed crimes, if they are not properly handled, it will leave a very far-reaching impact.

But letting Major Sim handle it not only demonstrates Lin Ye’s principle of fairness and justice, but also establishes prestige to a certain extent.

Rita, who was standing beside her, didn’t quite understand Lin Ye’s decision, but in the end she didn’t say much.

And Major Sim in the distance didn’t quite understand what happened.

He just felt a chill down his back.
