Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 55 The Hidden Place

Chapter 55 The Hidden Place
Lin Ye didn’t know where he was going.

The two strong men supporting him were surprisingly strong, and their arms seemed to be tightly bound by steel alloys, unable to move at all.

He yelled several times to those around him, but got no response.

And the girl who caught him was always walking in the front, and her pace didn’t stop at all.

If he hadn’t cursed and received a violent elbow from a soldier, he would have thought the gang were deaf!

In desperation, he could only stop his useless shouting and save his energy to observe them silently.

These people are all wearing the same type of armor, with mysterious totems engraved on the chest and back armor.

However, due to the severe damage to the armor, the large area of scratches made it difficult to distinguish these totems.

Their weapons are also very weird, the receivers of long guns and short guns are covered with purple crystals.

Some warriors carried strangely shaped cold weapons, but the blades were not made of metal, but also translucent purple crystals.

This toy-like thing can also cause damage?

Lin Ye frowned and complained silently in his heart.

After walking like this for about ten minutes, under the cover of the wind and sand that covered the sky and the sun, the group passed through the stone pillars of the worm nest, and came to the Gobi where there are many strange rocks.

Lin Ye was taken into a secret cave by this group of people. From the outside, it looked no different from the previous mine in the insect nest.

But on the inner rock wall, there are some strange metal components inlaid, reflecting a silver-gray luster in the dark cave.

When the group of people went deep into the tunnel, the sharp-eyed Lin Ye discovered that the light emitting from the metal components was actually connected together to form a thin film that was so transparent that it was almost imperceptible.

Seems to be some kind of teleportation device!
Through this film, what appeared in front of him was no longer an endless tunnel or a dark cave, but a beautiful alien city.

The whole city is shrouded in a huge hemispherical curtain wall. The wall is made of a transparent special substance, and one can clearly see the crimson clouds in the sky outside and the lavender sky in the distance.

Multiple barriers were also spread out on its surface, and light was rippling regularly at the moment, somewhat similar to the barriers around Lin Ye’s floating island.

An artificial sun shines in the center of the dome, and the diffuse light shines on the cobblestone-like buildings piled up on top of each other.

These buildings are very dense and look a little messy, but they have a different kind of beauty.

There are many residents living in the city. Their appearance looks no different from that of human beings, except that they look very elegant in their clothes.

What shocked Lin Ye even more was that the way these residents traveled to and from various buildings relied on some kind of special flying pedal.

It’s very similar to the flying sword scene in fantasy novels.

The group of people took Lin Ye to the circular high platform in the center of the city. This place seemed to be a square specially used for celebration ceremonies.

Of course, for him, it is also very likely to be the execution ground.

Lin Ye withdrew his shocked gaze and began to look around.

No matter what planet the creatures are, when they see outsiders, they can’t help but be curious and come to watch the fun.

Especially his strange attire attracted everyone’s attention.

For these residents, the mechanical exoskeleton and tactical suit he wore looked too bloated, and the shotgun he carried was also extremely weird.

Moreover, he still has the dried blood of zombies and insects on his body, and the gray-green stains on his body are almost impossible to look at.

The soldier beside him pressed Lin Ye to the ground, then took out the cold weapon on his body, and blocked it in front of him.

The high-frequency particle wave blade burst out from the weapon, emitting bursts of buzzing sounds, which made his eardrums hurt.

From this point of view, these bells and whistles are indeed much more powerful than ordinary cold weapons.

The girl also drew out the long sword at her waist, stood in front of Lin Ye, and asked sharply:
”Say, you rebels have approached the restricted area many times, what is the purpose?”

”Before the interrogation, shouldn’t you report your identities first?” Lin Ye responded with a look of disdain.

In his field of vision, the interface of the system mall is layered. In case of a crisis, he can directly buy the automatic turret and quickly install it by his side.

At that time, no matter how majestic and magnificent this alien city is, no matter what abilities these people have, they will eventually be reduced to ashes.

And the girl standing opposite was deflated at the first question she asked.

Not only did she not get the answer she wanted, but she also caused the audience in the audience to sigh, and she really couldn’t hold back her face.

So she frowned and looked at Lin Ye, the killing intent in her eyes suddenly rose.

At this time, a burly warrior next to him said something half-jokingly:

”He doesn’t look like a rebel, because the equipment on his body is too outdated. Those guys won’t make such a mistake!”

Lin Ye heard some clues from this sentence, and he immediately raised his head to argue:

”I am not your enemy, nor am I from this planet, I just want to know where this is...”

After hearing this answer, all the soldiers on the opposite side laughed out loud. One of the tall and thin men folded his arms and joked:
”Why, the rebels still use such a lame excuse now?”

While speaking, the man winked again.

The soldier standing at the back understood the meaning, so he stepped forward and punched Lin Ye in the face.

This force was unbearable even for a body that had undergone attribute enhancement. Lin Ye immediately became dizzy and a sweet liquid gushed out of his mouth.

He grunted, shook his head, then looked up at the group of soldiers, spit out a mouthful, then grinned and said:

”Those who have hurt me will never see the sun the next day. You have to be mentally prepared!”

I don’t know if his ruthless words were too shocking, all the soldiers in front of him froze in place, almost all of them looked terrified, as if they saw something terrible.

And the soldier who did it raised his fist in panic, and shouted to everyone with a trembling voice:
”Blood is red!”

The leading girl immediately stood up, walked towards Lin Ye quickly, put her hand on his chin, looked left and right, and then ordered to the soldier beside her:
”Go and ask the elders to come over!”

Not long after, an old man with white beard and hair was surrounded by a group of guards and slowly flew over from a distant building.

He stepped on a shining metal disc, and as soon as it landed, the disc quickly spun and shrunk to the size of a coin, and flew back into the palm of his hand.

When the onlookers saw him, they all knelt on one knee almost at the same time, put their right palms on their chests, and bowed their heads in salute.

It seems that this guy’s status is extremely noble.

However, the elder didn’t pay attention to the cumbersome etiquette, he hurried over as soon as he landed, carefully sizing up Lin Ye with sharp eyes.

After a while, he nodded solemnly and said loudly:

”I am the elder of this temple, Erwin!”

Lin Ye knelt on the ground. After seeing the old man in front of him, he originally wanted to straighten up and prepare to ask something, but before he opened his mouth, the other party saw through all his thoughts.

The old man put his hands behind his back, walked up to him, and said with a smile:
”This is El Star, a terrestrial planet far away in the Orion Nebula, we are the natives of this planet!”

This is the same as Lin Ye’s original guess. There was indeed some kind of teleportation device inside the mine of the insect nest before, and he broke into it inadvertently, and then came to this strange planet.

However, it happened so suddenly that he still couldn’t accept it for a while.

Especially when he learned that the place he was teleported to was the Orion Nebula more than 500 light-years away from the blue star, the surprise in his heart rose to the extreme.

These are all Lin Ye’s thoughts, but before he could speak, the old man took the lead in responding to his doubts:

”Perhaps this is God’s guidance, allowing you to come to this devastated planet to help us tide over the difficulties!”

After Lin Ye heard this, he immediately responded without thinking: ”Sorry, I don’t want to participate in such a thankless thing, I just want to go back to the original place...”

He is not a warm-hearted and kind person, not to mention that he already has enough things on his body, so why should he spend so much time solving other people’s troubles!

But before he finished speaking, Erwin suddenly walked up to him with a smile, disregarding the obstruction of everyone around him, and untied his handcuffs.

”Foreigner chosen by the gods, there are many secrets hidden in you. If you can help my people to tide over the difficulties this time, I will tell you the truth!”

After saying this, he suddenly lowered his body and whispered in his ear:
”Rebirth has never been a gift from God, but a vicious curse!”

These words hit the nail on the head. Lin Ye immediately raised his head and looked at the mysterious old man in horror.
