Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 99

Chapter 99

”You are indeed different from the previous Lords of the Temple!” Gray seemed to mean something.

”Oh?” Lin Ye was a little curious when he heard this, and he asked, ”Why do you say that?”

Gray glanced at the engineer beside him, who understood what he meant, and continued to repair and debug the transmission device with the drawings and tools.

He walked to Lin Ye’s side and continued in a low voice:

“You are not from Aier, so you don’t know much about this planet and this civilization’s etiquette that has been passed down for tens of thousands of years.

Every temple master has the greatest power and can control the entire planet.

But except for the annual year-end ceremonies, they rarely show up in front of the public.

Even if he showed up, he was still wearing armor, so he couldn’t see his face clearly.

For ordinary people like us, the Lord of the Temple is an extremely distant existence.

The main link between the people and the temple is faith. ”

When he said the last sentence, Gray emphasized it.

Lin Ye on the side naturally noticed the change in his tone, so he frowned: ”Speak directly!”

Gray considered it for a moment, and finally explained in a secretive way:

”The disadvantage of this kind of inheritance is that once the people’s faith collapses, their trust in the Lord of the Temple will drop to freezing point.

Even though he still maintains a respectful attitude on the surface, his heart has begun to waver.

If someone deliberately incites it at this time, it will definitely cause a large-scale rebellion! ”

Gray’s words caused Lin Ye to fall into a brief silence.

Indeed, as the chief engineer said, the civilians of Ayr, who found themselves deceived for hundreds of years, would surely begin to rebel against the decrees and laws of the Temple.

If someone with a heart like Samson wanted to incite a rebellion, it wouldn’t be a problem, after all, his power base was the deepest.

Once a fight breaks out, most of the city’s 70 people will participate in the fight.

However, Lin Ye’s answer was somewhat surprising.

He looked at the city in the distance, and responded lightly:
”Then let them make trouble!”

”Your Highness?” Gray’s eyelids twitched, he thought he had heard it wrong.

”There is an old saying in Blue Star, it is better to block and suppress than to guide.” Seeing Gray’s confused expression, Lin Ye explained with a chuckle.

”The collapse of faith does not happen overnight. Living in a closed temple, having no direction for the future, and the accumulated disappointment along the way are all factors that defeat the people.

If the suppression continues, not only will there be no solution to this phenomenon, but it will also cause more serious consequences, such as the rebels being supported by weapons and equipment.

It’s better to try to break through and then build up, let the people express their demands, and get rid of the shackles of belief, so that there will be new hope! ”

”You mean...you want to reform?” Gray was very surprised. He didn’t expect this sentence to be uttered from the mouth of the Lord of the Temple who was at the center of power.

He took a step back and knelt on the ground again:

”Take the temple as the center of power and let the lord of the temple control the power. This is the inheritance of the Al civilization for tens of thousands of years. If there is no faith, the consequences...”

Lin Ye raised his hand to interrupt his advice, and said seriously:

”Inheritance is dead, people are alive, today is different from the past, should we let the people abide by the rigid rules of the past in the cruel doomsday?

What’s more, you just said that I am not from Ayer, and I don’t need false believers! ”

Gray still wanted to say something, but a group of people approached in the distance, forcing him to swallow his words again.

”Honorable Lord of the Temple...”

Seeing Lin Ye, the group of people immediately ran to him, bowed their heads and knelt down to salute.

”Get up!” Lin Ye waved his hand, then looked at Gray, ”Who are they?”

”They are all repair technicians under me. They were transferred from various positions to urgently repair the teleportation point!” Gray responded.

When the repair technicians heard this, they immediately started booing:
”Your Highness, you may not know that the floating buildings in our temple were all developed and manufactured by Grazu, and he is still in charge of maintaining them now!”

”Yes, yes, the weapons and equipment used by the Temple Guards were also designed with his father’s participation!”

”If it weren’t for this catastrophe, Mr. Gray might have achieved a great career!”

”Mr. Gray is leading the scientific research team of the Jongmyo Temple. I heard that they are amazing!”

……

Lin Ye’s eyes lit up when he heard these words.

I didn’t expect this person to look ordinary, but he possessed such abilities.

If this is placed on Blue Star, then it will be an honorary academician of the United Nations Academy of Sciences!

Seeing Lin Ye’s joyful expression, Gray wiped the sweat from his forehead, and hurriedly argued:
”Your Highness, I am laughing at you, they are all talking nonsense, I don’t have these skills!”

Lin Ye waved his hand: ”Okay, why are you being humble in front of me, but I didn’t expect you to come here to repair the teleportation device in person!”

As soon as this remark came out, Gray’s mood fell immediately, as if he had something on his mind.

”To tell you the truth, Your Highness, in fact, I have long since lost my scientific research status...”

While speaking, he looked at the temple and ancestral temple suspended under the dome, and heaved a long sigh.

”Why?” Lin Ye was puzzled.

”I developed a reliable and stable weapon, durable light armor, but on the day of delivery, I was kicked out of the scientific research team. For the people of the Ibrahimovic Chamber of Commerce, I have no value!”

Gray’s tone sounded flat, but he could see the burning anger in his eyes.

Is it the Ibrahimovic Chamber of Commerce again?

This guy Samson can really cause trouble!

Lin Ye looked in the direction of the city and said coldly:
”Don’t worry, soon, there will be no Ibrahimovic Chamber of Commerce in this city!”

Gray turned his head to look over, a look of shock in his eyes.

The Ibrahimovic Chamber of Commerce is the most powerful organization in the temple, and it is very difficult to deal with, but Lin Ye’s words seem to uproot them.

It’s unbelievable!

However, the shock was shocking, and Gray didn’t ask why.

Lin Ye glanced at the portal being debugged, and asked, ”When will the portal be repaired?”

Gray thought for a while: ”It will take up to three days, because in addition to the repair and debugging of the teleportation point, there are also parts in the main control room that need to be repaired and replaced!”

After all, he said a little strangely: ”Are you in a hurry to go to El Star?”

Lin Ye nodded: ”That’s right, I’m going to lead the team to the worm’s nest and give those worms some gifts!”

Gray: ”Maybe you can use the power of the teleportation array on the surface of Star Aiur!”

”Teleportation array?” Lin Ye immediately became interested.

Gray nodded and explained in detail:
”The teleportation arrays on the surface of El Star all use energy arrays to extract energy from the earth’s core.
If the core array is not destroyed by Zerg creatures, it can be detonated simultaneously, triggering a high-energy chain reaction! ”

Hearing this, Lin Ye’s eyes widened.

Unexpectedly, El Star also hides such a secret weapon!
