Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 58 Rebel Invasion

Chapter 58 Rebel Invasion
The building boat slowly flew towards the portals in all directions, and all the soldiers in the corridor also went to the corresponding teleportation points to gather.

But before they left, the building boat in the distance suddenly stopped in mid-air.

Afterwards, an energy cluster shining with blue light erupted from the inside of the hull, rapidly expanded and spread, and then enveloped the entire building.

Immediately afterwards, there were successive, earth-shattering violent explosions.

The dozen or so large ships heading for the teleportation point, together with the hundreds of Templar soldiers on board, were all reduced to ashes in an instant.

At the moment of the explosion, a large number of troops with live ammunition suddenly appeared in the portal, and they took up their weapons and launched an attack as soon as they came up.

The Templars on the ground had no defenses, and were all buried in the extremely penetrating light beams.

”It’s the rebels!”

Almost at the same time, a half-length model of a soldier quickly appeared on the living room table. He looked at the elder, holding the communicator and said in a trembling voice:

”Elder Erwin, we were attacked by the rebel army as soon as we opened the teleportation gate of the No. [-] teleportation point, and the army suffered heavy losses!”

Rita, who was standing in the corridor watching the situation, returned to the living room. After hearing the news, she rushed forward and pressed the energy-filled weapon against Lin Ye’s neck.

”The temple is hidden in the subspace. There is no other way to enter except for a specific portal, but the rebels don’t know the location of the portal. You, a spy, brought them here!”

Lin Ye looked innocent. He just listened to a mysterious story told by an old man here. How did he become a spy?
”If you want to blame, I can only blame you, well, when you tied me back, why didn’t you want someone to follow you?”

His attitude annoyed Rita even more.

”It seems that you are really not afraid of death!”

She raised her hand and was about to exert force, but Erwin grabbed the weapon.

Erwin said indifferently: ”He is a distinguished guest of the temple, and he is also the future master of the temple!”

The voice sounded so flat, but it contained the majesty of an elder that could not be resisted.

”Father!” Rita was very puzzled, and turned her head to ask, ”We have no way of verifying whether the oracle is true or not, and he is just an alien of unknown origin. Why do you trust him so much?”

Erwin threw away his weapon, and said sternly, ”You are just the captain of the Temple Guard, but you have to remember, I am the elder of the Temple!”

Lin Ye was sandwiched between the two, and the left and right were greeted with anger, which was not a good feeling.

He had no choice but to take a step back and start mixing the mud:
”Hey, this is not the time for you to worry about this, are you? Those so-called rebels have all come home, so don’t worry about it?”

Rita pushed Lin Ye away and gave him a vicious look, but due to her father’s coercion, she didn’t say much.

In the end, she put away her weapon, walked out of the room without looking back, boarded the disc-shaped aircraft, and rushed to the surface to command the battle.

At this time, Erwin was sitting on the armchair with his hands on his forehead, with a dejected expression on his face.

It seemed that Rita’s actions somewhat embarrassed him, since she was his daughter and the captain of the guard army, she didn’t care about him, the elder of the temple, at all.

But in front of Lin Ye, he still forced a smile and said slowly:
But in front of Lin Ye, he still suppressed the unhappiness in his heart, and promised with a smile:
”Don’t worry, the rebel invasion has happened many times before. Those Ayre people who have lost their faith can’t resist our attack at all!”

”Don’t they have their own stronghold? Why would they attack such a heavily guarded temple?” Lin Ye was puzzled.

If the rebels are all such mindless guys, then they rebelled against loneliness?

”Those people want to win the inheritance of the former Lord of the Temple!” Erwin led Lin Ye to the corridor, and pointed to the strange building floating above the city.

It looked like an upside-down pyramid, except for the large totem relief engraved on the surface, there was a square entrance on all four sides.

The light from the artificial sun in the center of the dome completely envelops the building.

At this moment, it is exuding a colorful halo.

”There is the ancestral temple of the temple, the sacred place for inheritance!” Erwin looked at the direction of the building devoutly, and continued to explain:

”Once someone can inherit the legacy of the Lord of the Temple, then all Aiur people must obey his orders.”

Lin Ye frowned, it was hard to agree with this rule:
”Can’t you refuse?”

Erwin turned his head, Lin Ye’s shadow was reflected in his blue eyes.

”The lord of the temple represents the gods, and his words and deeds will be regarded as the norm, and we cannot refuse.

Therefore, the gods foresaw the danger in a hundred years before sending down an oracle for us, and you, as the oracle said, found us! ”

Lin Ye was speechless for a moment.

In his opinion, faith is a shot in the arm for people in the catastrophe of the doomsday.

It can make them regain their confidence in life, make them more cohesive, and make a country that is about to fall stand up again.

But once the amount is excessive, the explosive growth of belief will cause unimaginably serious consequences.

At this time, a bust of a Templar soldier appeared again on the holographic table in the center of the living room, but before the man could speak, his head was suddenly beheaded.

The body that lost its head twitched violently, and then gushing blood, fell to the ground.

An El warrior in black armor picked up the communicator that fell on the ground, and then grinned:
”Why, haven’t seen you for a few years, have you forgotten me?”

His face is covered with marks, using the ancient characters of El civilization, symbolizing crime and punishment.

”Who is he?” Lin Ye looked at the ferocious warrior with doubts on his face.

”The leader of the rebel army?” Erwin stood up from his seat, pointed at the three-dimensional model and muttered, ”Why did you appear here?”

At the same time, the rebel army, which was surrounded at the teleportation point, broke through the encirclement and suppression of the Templar soldiers and went straight into the central square.

The leader of the rebel army captured several civilians, pointed the beam gun in his hand at their heads, and threatened:

”Take me to the ancestral temple and hand over the inheritance of the lord of the temple!”

”No, you didn’t have a chance before, and it’s absolutely impossible now!” Erwin roared, shattering the [-]D model and turning off the energy on the desktop.

The light spot floating in mid-air lost its energy supply and slowly fell into the table.

Lin Ye bought a pair of high-powered binoculars from the system mall, and went to the circular corridor to observe the rebels at the teleportation point in the distance.

It’s just that due to some special reason, the system cannot recognize the attribute panels of these people, and it seems that something is interfering.

In desperation, Lin Ye was about to look away, but suddenly saw something strange, and couldn’t help but bewildered.

At the teleportation point, there were many corpses of rebels and templar soldiers lying here and there, with rose-purple blood dripping all over the ground.

However, in some places there was clearly a pool of blood, but there was no trace of the corpse.

After continuing to observe for a while, the blood stains gradually turned pale yellow, and then quickly evaporated.

Holding the binoculars, Lin Ye yelled to the elders of the temple in the living room intently:
”Those who attacked the teleportation point, are you sure they are all rebels?”

His tone also became very serious, which made Erwin on the side a little puzzled, but he still responded firmly:
”Of course!”

”Have any biological tests been done on the residents of the temple?” Lin Ye asked.

Erwin nodded: ”We will check the physical condition of the residents every once in a while, in order to prevent the Zerg virus from breaking out inside the temple.”

Lin Ye put away the binoculars and returned to the side of the elders of the temple:

”Then have you found any strange things? For example, the physique of some residents is different from others?”

Erwin pondered for a moment, then responded:
”No, it’s all normal!”

However, now is not the time to think about these issues. He picked up the oracle crystal on the table, grabbed Lin Ye’s hand, and walked out the door:
”We must go to the ancestral temple now, let you accept the baptism of the gods as soon as possible, and complete the inheritance of the lord of the temple!”
