Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 234 The weasel pays New Year’s greetings to the chickenJapan and the other lackeys of the USA were suffering at this moment!

For them, the fact that China had achieved a breakthrough in Room-temperature superconductivity technology was by no means a cause for celebration; on the contrary, it was a massive headache.

They knew very well that in the future, any plan related to Room-temperature superconductivity—whether it was utilizing this technology to push their own scientific development or participating in international scientific cooperation projects—would inevitably be subject to China’s control.

It felt as if an invisible leash were tightly wrapped around their necks, with the other end held firmly in China’s hand.

They could only watch helplessly as China occupied a dominant position in this field, while they themselves were completely powerless to resist. The sense of helplessness and frustration was unbearable.

The only thing they felt grateful for was that this news had at least been leaked by the USA in advance, rather than them finding out only after China had already used Room-temperature superconductivity technology to skyrocket its domestic infrastructure and other aspects.

They also understood that by doing this, the USA was simply trying to strike at China, aiming to create negative international public opinion against China and force it into a passive position regarding the demonstration of this technological achievement.

While inwardly complaining that this tactic by the USA might not achieve the desired effect, they also cast their gazes toward Representative Gu Chuanwen, who was sitting not far away.

Representative Gu Chuanwen sat calmly in his seat, with no trace of joy or anger on his face. He sat there quietly, as if all the noise and chaos around him had nothing to do with him.

This surprised the USA’s lackeys, and they couldn’t help but mutter to themselves:

”Such important classified information has been leaked just like that, and he can still be this calm?”

”Could the news from the USA be fake?”

For a moment, they were confused, filled with doubt and suspicion.

Just then, the USA Representative on stage cleared his throat slightly, drawing everyone’s attention once again.

With an expression of feigned mystery, he said loudly:

”Next, we are announcing another very important matter!”

The bombshell news just dropped by the USA Representative regarding China’s breakthrough in Room-temperature superconductivity technology had already caused a huge stir in the venue.

Before everyone had fully recovered from the shock, they saw the USA Representative clear his throat again, about to announce something else—and it was another major event!

This terrified the representatives of Japan and other nations.

They muttered to themselves:

”The USA has more to announce... Could it be more news about China’s scientific research?”

”No! Please, no!”

These lackeys of the USA were so nervous that their hearts felt like they were about to jump out of their throats. They were pale, their eyes filled with panic and unease.

They were truly terrified by China’s successive technological breakthroughs and were afraid that the USA would reveal more shocking news about China’s technology, leaving them at a loss for how to respond.

Representative Gu Chuanwen sat in his seat, his eyes flickering slightly.

He couldn’t help but feel puzzled, secretly pondering:

”It’s not possible that the USA has more intelligence on our technology, right?”

”The USA never does anything without profit; what kind of trick are they playing this time?”

He stared intently at the USA Representative on stage, trying to discern some clues from the other’s demeanor.

However, what the USA Representative said next caused an unexpected turn of events.

The USA Representative stood on stage with a seemingly friendly smile and said slowly:

”I believe China must have put in a lot of effort to achieve Room-temperature superconductivity!”

”We have all witnessed this. Now, their country is facing the impact of an energy crisis, and we are well aware of the difficulties involved. Everyone understands that achieving large-scale application of Room-temperature superconductivity technology is no simple matter; it requires a massive investment of capital, manpower, and various resources!”

”I believe that given China’s current situation, it is difficult for them to complete this arduous task independently.”

At this point, the USA Representative paused slightly, scanning the representatives of various countries in the audience, seemingly observing everyone’s reactions, and then continued:

”For this reason, after deliberation, we in the USA have decided to provide financial and scientific research support to China!”

”Of course, we are absolutely not asking China to share these results; we are not that shameless!”

”We only hope to promote China’s development and utilization of Room-temperature superconductivity technology!”

”After all, once this technology can be better developed and applied, it will be a great thing for all of humanity.”

”Furthermore, I solemnly declare here that the financial and scientific research support we are providing is completely free of charge!!!”

”Our USA Secretary of State will come to oversee this matter. We know that the Spring Festival Gala is a very festive day in your country, and our Secretary of State will go to discuss the details of the cooperation with your country the day before!”

”We believe that this cooperation will surely lead to a leap in progress for all of humanity!”

As soon as the USA Representative finished speaking, thunderous applause erupted from the audience.

Hearing this, those lackeys of the USA breathed a sigh of relief, and their previously tense expressions relaxed significantly.

Although they didn’t know what had gotten into the USA to make them actively help China, at least it wasn’t a new technology!

Otherwise, they would have been scared to death!

The representative from Russia, upon hearing these words from the USA Representative, was stunned at first, then looked at Representative Gu Chuanwen with a face full of surprise and lowered his voice to say:

”Has the sun risen from the west for the USA? Are they actually this kind, offering you funds and technology without asking for anything in return?”

”Is this still the same USA that only has eyes for profit?”

”You must be careful; I feel that the USA is definitely not simple!”

”They surely have ill intent; there’s no telling what kind of conspiracy is hidden behind this.”

The Russia representative frowned, his eyes showing a trace of vigilance. He understood the USA’s style of doing things too well; this whole affair seemed fishy no matter how he looked at it.

As the Chinese representative who had dealt with the USA many times, Representative Gu Chuanwen naturally did not believe that the USA would be this kind.

He knew it like the back of his hand!

According to the USA’s consistent style of operation, if they really encountered such a situation, they would either find a way to eliminate the team of scientists who achieved the breakthrough in Room-temperature superconductivity technology in China, cutting off the foundation for China’s continued development!

Or they would use unscrupulous means to poach those scientists, taking them for themselves and making China’s technological achievements serve them.

This is clearly a weasel wishing the chicken a happy new year—with no good intentions!

As the meeting progressed and the various agenda items were completed, the meeting finally ended.

The representatives of various countries left the venue one after another, each harboring their own complex emotions.

The representative from Russia walked up to Representative Gu Chuanwen, patted his shoulder, and said:

”When I go back, I will also discuss it with our top leadership to see if we can provide you with some technical assistance.”

”Developing Room-temperature superconductivity can indeed help humanity reach a different height, which is good for everyone!”

”But as for funds, forget it. You also know that our domestic situation is truly a bit difficult.”

The Russia representative shook his head helplessly, his face filled with a bitter smile.

Representative Gu Chuanwen smiled calmly and nodded.

He also knew that Russia’s current economic situation was indeed quite grim!

It wasn’t just the economy!

Russia today was like a dilapidated thatched cottage, teetering and ready to collapse at any moment. If you gave it a kick...

A group of burly men would immediately rush out and beat you up!
