Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 225 Make the photographer wear a mecha suitGeneral Zhao Yong seemed to notice their hesitation; he immediately waved his hand and said in a kind tone:

”Everyone, don’t worry. This confidentiality agreement is only valid for one month. Once the Spring Festival Gala hits midnight, it will automatically expire!”

”As long as you diligently complete the filming mission, we will not make things difficult for you!”

”On the contrary, we will provide you with any assistance we can!”

Upon hearing General Zhao Yong’s words, the group looked at each other. Without saying anything more, they nodded one after another and accepted the agreement.

After all, this was a rare opportunity. Although it came with the constraints of a confidentiality agreement, being able to participate in the preparations for such an important finale program for the Spring Festival Gala was an honor.

After the confidentiality agreement was signed, General Zhao Yong personally led them to a massive base.

As they walked, everyone was shocked by the scale of the base.

The base was completely modular in design. The first thing that caught their eyes was a massive square workshop, occupying at least thousands of acres; it was astonishingly large.

Beside this massive workshop were many smaller square workshops. While called ”small,” each actually occupied at least a hundred acres, which was not to be underestimated either.

Director Zhang was even more startled by the facility; he widened his eyes, his face full of astonishment.

He couldn’t help but curiously wonder what on earth was inside that massive workshop.

Could this be the Dragon Kingdom’s storage base for Nuclear Weapons?

Were all the Nuclear Weapons kept here?

He was bursting with curiosity, but reason told him that he must remain silent at this time. Things that shouldn’t be asked absolutely could not be asked; after all, he had just signed that strict confidentiality agreement.

General Zhao Yong seemed to notice Director Zhang’s curious gaze. He stopped, pointed to the largest workshop, and said to the group:

”The object you need to film is inside!”

”Follow me in.”

With a mix of nervousness and curiosity, the group followed General Zhao Yong into the massive workshop.

Once inside, they were instantly confused. They subconsciously scanned their surroundings but didn’t find anything particularly special.

The workshop was empty; aside from some basic support structures, there was nothing that would catch anyone’s eye.

At this moment, General Zhao Yong smiled and told them to look up.

They followed instructions and looked up, carefully observing the ceiling. They discovered that the ceiling seemed rather strange and appeared to be made of metal, but other than that, they couldn’t discern anything out of the ordinary.

General Zhao Yong didn’t blame these inexperienced people. He smiled and signaled to his subordinate, who understood immediately and gave the order. Suddenly, the base’s ceiling began to slowly open.

At this moment, the group puzzledly realized that what was above their heads wasn’t the actual ceiling; the ceiling they had assumed was actually above this object.

As the ceiling opened, sunlight, like beams of golden swords, shone into the workshop.

Above their heads, the object that had looked like a ceiling slowly began to rise.

As it rose higher, the people below became increasingly bewildered. Their pupils gradually dilated, and their mouths opened wider and wider. The confusion in their eyes was gradually replaced by uncontrollable shock.

BOOM!!!!!

When the object rose to a height of about one hundred meters and its full appearance was revealed to them, it was as if a thunderbolt had completely exploded in their minds!

They were completely stunned, each of them standing frozen as if under an immobilization spell, unable to move.

”Is this... is this a UFO?”

”Is it a spaceship?! Our country actually developed a spaceship!”

Someone muttered in disbelief, their voice trembling slightly with excitement.

”No! To be precise, this thing should be called an Aerospace Carrier. But this is something straight out of science fiction; it’s still just a concept, yet we actually managed to develop it!”

Another person exclaimed, their eyes flashing with excitement and pride.

”Punch me! Oh! It hurts! It really hurts, I’m just so excited. I never expected our country to have developed such a massive beast!”

Others were so excited they were incoherent, even willing to let their companions punch them to confirm they weren’t dreaming.

”No wonder the penalties in the confidentiality agreement were so severe. This is an Aerospace Carrier! If this leaked, execution would be a light punishment!”

The shocked exclamations of the group rang in Director Zhang’s ears one after another.

Those exclamations were like thunderclaps, pulling him back to reality from the depths of his shock.

He slowly raised his head, his gaze focusing once again on the behemoth in the sky—the Aerospace Carrier—his eyes still revealing unconcealable astonishment.

Director Zhang even began to doubt whether this was a dream; after all, the thing before his eyes was truly beyond imagination.

Things that had previously only existed in science fiction novels and movies were now appearing so tangibly before his eyes.

He subconsciously pinched himself, and a sharp pain followed!

”Hiss—”

He gasped; the pain clearly told him that all of this was real, not an illusory dream.

Only now did he truly realize why General Zhao Yong had said the Longwei-class Strategic Warship wasn’t shocking enough and that he had to bring out their trump card.

He had previously assumed it would be a Nuke, as in everyone’s understanding, Nukes were the ultimate trump card for any nation, a presence with immense deterrent power.

But he never expected that the country would have such an incredibly powerful asset.

This behemoth was truly far more shocking than the Longwei-class Strategic Warship!

Moreover, upon careful reflection, filming it didn’t require any special techniques at all!

It was enough to simply capture its current majestic, sci-fi appearance and present it to the audience; that alone would be enough to create a heart-stopping program effect.

This was simply a natural, unparalleled source material for a visual feast.

Just as they were still immersed in the shock brought by the Aerospace Carrier, General Zhao Yong’s steady, powerful voice suddenly rang out: ”How about it, Director Zhang? Do you have the confidence to film it well?”

”You are one of the best directors in our Dragon Kingdom. I believe that with your skillful touch, you will definitely be able to film a video with incredible program effect!”

General Zhao Yong’s gaze was filled with expectation. He knew deeply that this Spring Festival Gala finale was of great significance, and Director Zhang’s professional ability was one of the key factors in whether it could be perfectly presented.

Director Zhang came back to his senses, his expression becoming serious. He said earnestly:

”Filming it doesn’t require many techniques; techniques seem redundant in its presence.”

”In my opinion, it is enough to just present it in its entirety, and it will be enough...”

Director Zhang had originally wanted to say ”shock the audience,” but felt that such a description seemed inappropriate for the occasion. After all, this was a serious matter concerning the display of the nation’s major scientific research achievements. So, he quickly changed his phrasing: ”It will be enough to shock the entire world!”

His eyes flashed with excitement and determination; he was already beginning to conceive the filming scenes and process in his mind.

General Zhao Yong listened and smiled with satisfaction. He had clearly felt Director Zhang’s confidence, which gave him a few more points of certainty regarding the success of the Spring Festival Gala finale.

However, at this moment, Director Zhang seemed to recall something and said:

”By the way, Chief, we might need some assistance.”

General Zhao Yong maintained his calm expression and asked: ”What kind of assistance? Feel free to say it.”

Director Zhang thought for a moment, organized his thoughts, and said:

”We need a helicopter to film the entirety of this Aerospace Carrier!”

”After all, its size is so massive; only by filming from different angles and different heights can we fully display its magnificence from all directions!”

”Helicopters are relatively flexible and can move quite freely in the air, allowing us to obtain various ideal filming perspectives.”

General Zhao Yong listened, frowned slightly, thought for a moment, and then said:

”Filming with a helicopter is too rigid, and there’s too much noise!”

”How about this: I’ll go find you some other equipment that will definitely help you film properly.”

Upon hearing General Zhao Yong’s words, the group couldn’t help but be stunned.

In their understanding, a helicopter was already the best equipment they could imagine for filming such a large object. Could there be other equipment?

This left them somewhat puzzled; they looked at each other, their eyes filled with confusion.

Just as they were feeling puzzled, they heard a faint sound of mechanical operation. Immediately after, ten Mecha Suits appeared before their eyes.

Their high-tech appearance, sleek lines, and shells faintly emitting a metallic luster instantly captured everyone’s attention.

Looking at these suits that seemed to come from a future world, the group was even more confused. They completely failed to understand why General Zhao Yong had brought these things.

Then, General Zhao Yong unhurriedly asked the photographer to try wearing a Mecha Suit.

Although the photographer was full of doubts, he still carefully put on the Mecha Suit under everyone’s gaze.

When the Mecha Suit was fully equipped on him, a miracle occurred.

Under everyone’s gaze, the photographer took off instantly and soared into the sky.

The speed was so fast that it was like a bolt of lightning cutting through the sky, and in the blink of an eye, he had already flown into mid-air.

The group was almost petrified on the spot. They all widened their eyes, their mouths agape, wide enough to fit an egg, their faces full of disbelief.

”Holy crap, what is this thing? You can fly just by putting it on? Isn’t this basically becoming Superman? Our country actually has such high-tech equipment?”

Someone couldn’t help but curse, their voice slightly off-key from sheer shock.

”Holy cow, has our country become this powerful without us even realizing it?”

General Zhao Yong looked at Director Zhang and asked with a smile:

”Director Zhang, isn’t letting the photographer wear the Mecha Suit more convenient than filming with a helicopter?”

Director Zhang finally came back to his senses from the extreme shock. He nodded repeatedly and said excitedly:

”More than convenient—this is simply too convenient!”

In his view, the finale didn’t even need the Aerospace Carrier; using this Mecha Suit alone would be enough.

Moreover, this thing was flexible and noiseless when flying, and it could adjust angles at will; the filming results would definitely be superb!

At this moment, Director Zhang could no longer suppress his desire to start filming immediately. In his mind, countless wonderful shots were already flashing by, and he couldn’t wait to start planning the upcoming filming content right now.

However, just as Director Zhang was full of anticipation and ready to show his skills, General Zhao Yong waved his hand and said:

”Don’t be in such a rush; it’s not complete yet. We still have a bigger fish that hasn’t arrived!”

Director Zhang shuddered, instantly dumbfounded. He widened his eyes and asked in a trembling voice:

”What?”

”There’s more?????”
