Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 207 Is Lao Tzu Going to Ascend to Heaven? When Su Chen took out a few pairs of shoes from inside, everyone was baffled.

They looked at each other, unable to understand why Su Chen had brought shoes.

And he even wanted to give them to General Zhao Yong to put on!

General Zhao Yong glanced at the shoes, frowned, and said with disdain:

”These shoes are so ugly, I refuse to wear them!”

”They don’t even look as good as my leather shoes!”

Upon hearing this, Su Chen was amused and said with a smile, ”Alright, if you won’t wear them, I will.”

Subsequently, Su Chen and the person in charge put on the shoes without hesitation.

Then, Su Chen decisively activated the Aerospace Carrier’s anti-gravity system.

As the power of the anti-gravity system gradually increased, the gravitational environment inside the Aerospace Carrier began to change.

General Zhao Yong suddenly felt his body become lighter. He looked at Su Chen and asked in confusion:

”Strange, why do I feel like you are sinking?”

The person in charge smiled and explained, ”It is you who are rising, sir!”

General Zhao Yong was stunned for a moment. He quickly looked around and discovered that he was indeed floating up.

This old man, who had experienced countless storms and never retreated on the battlefield, felt a little panicked at this moment.

”Quick! Get me down!”

”I haven’t lived enough yet, I haven’t conquered the universe yet, I can’t just ascend to heaven like this!”

”You brat, hurry up and think of a way to get me down!”

He urged Su Chen to get him down immediately, but Su Chen said unhurriedly:

”Don’t worry, you are just in a state of weightlessness right now.”

”It’s not Heaven calling you up; there’s nothing wrong!”

General Zhao Yong paused, then suddenly realized:

”So that’s how it is. So this is what weightlessness feels like.”

As the future captain, General Zhao Yong felt that getting used to this state in advance wouldn’t be a bad thing.

However, he was curious why Su Chen and the others were fine. Su Chen pointed to his own shoes and said:

”Because we are wearing magnetic shoes, so naturally we are fine.”

General Zhao Yong finally understood and hurriedly asked Su Chen to give him a pair to wear.

Su Chen tossed the shoes to him and said, ”Put them on yourself!”

General Zhao Yong said indignantly, ”I wouldn’t even let others put them on for me if I wanted them to!”

Su Chen snatched the shoes back and joked:

”If the old guy doesn’t want to wear them, then just float!”

”You brat, give the shoes back to me quickly, I’ll wear them, I’ll wear them!”

General Zhao Yong shouted hurriedly.

The person in charge watched the two of them bickering and was stunned.

Especially Su Chen, who actually dared to call the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Southern Navy an ”old guy,” and the key was that General Zhao Yong wasn’t even angry, which surprised him immensely.

The scene today had truly opened his eyes.

Afterwards, General Zhao Yong struggled to put on the magnetic shoes. Sure enough, he immediately stood firmly on the Aerospace Carrier, and the feeling of weightlessness disappeared.

He said with some surprise:

”Don’t look at these shoes as ugly; they are actually quite effective!”

”Tomorrow, ask a designer to properly design them!”

”Give every member of our Aerospace Carrier crew a pair—no, two pairs—so they can cope with weightlessness. They can’t just float around all the time!”

Su Chen nodded in agreement:

”Don’t worry, these shoes are just for temporary testing. We will definitely modify them later.”

Now that the anti-gravity system had been activated and everyone had entered a state of weightlessness, this meant that there were no problems with the application of the anti-gravity system on the Aerospace Carrier!

Next came the real test. Su Chen wanted to test whether the Aerospace Carrier could successfully lift off, which was what everyone was most concerned about.

Just as Su Chen was preparing to activate the propulsion system, a researcher suddenly sent an alert:

”Report, there is a problem with the data!”

This news, like a bomb, instantly gripped everyone’s hearts.

Su Chen hurriedly and solemnly retrieved the relevant data to check. After careful analysis, he found that this data was a minor issue with the temperature control facilities!

”It’s fine, it’s not a big problem!”

”It just needs to be serviced later; it won’t affect this test.”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

The researcher who issued the alert felt a bit embarrassed: ”It seems I made a mountain out of a molehill. I apologize for scaring everyone!”

Su Chen waved his hand and said seriously:

”Don’t think that way. This is being rigorous, not making a mountain out of a molehill.”

”Looking at it now, the test won’t have any problems because of this data, but once we enter space, if the temperature control facilities have any issues, it could be fatal for the people inside the ship.”

Everyone nodded in agreement upon hearing Su Chen’s words and gave the researcher a warm round of applause, praising his rigorous attitude.

At this moment, Su Chen added earnestly:

”I know everyone hopes the test passes, but what I want to tell you even more is that before the Aerospace Carrier is officially put into use, finding problems is not a bad thing; it’s a good thing.”

”Don’t be afraid of problems during testing; what we should fear is when there are no problems in testing!”

”Potential threats are far more fatal than visible problems!”

Everyone expressed their agreement: ”Chief Engineer Su is absolutely right! After all, this is a major event concerning the future development of our space industry, and it certainly won’t be smooth sailing!”

”Take it slow; slow work yields fine products!”

”Compared to other countries, we don’t know how far ahead we are; we are not in a hurry!”

”The more critical the moment, the more likely problems will appear. We must respond actively; don’t be afraid of difficulties!”

General Zhao Yong patted Su Chen on the shoulder and gave him a thumbs up:

”You kid speak so well; are you going to take a postgraduate entrance exam?”

Su Chen rolled his eyes at him and said helplessly, ”Stop scrolling through Douyin so much, sir!”

General Zhao Yong was stunned for a moment and thought to himself: Doesn’t Douyin say that using memes can close the distance with young people?

Marketing accounts really can’t be trusted...

Seeing that there were no major problems with the data, Su Chen took a deep breath and began the next step of the test.

He scanned the console again and then activated the propulsion system.

Instantly, the Aerospace Carrier emitted an even more intense roar, and the entire hull trembled slightly, as if it were gathering strength.

Slowly, the Aerospace Carrier started up.

Its massive body began to gradually leave the ground and rise slowly toward the sky.
