Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 203 They are now on the verge of collapse!Hillar’s praise for the Dragon Kingdom made Smith feel extremely uncomfortable; that hard-to-accept sensation felt like needles on his back.

However, in the face of the undeniable fact of Room-temperature superconductivity, even though he was full of reluctance, he had no way to refute it.

At this moment, the only thought in his mind was to convey this shocking news to the Secretary of State and the President as quickly as possible. Furthermore, he knew full well that if he could get Hillar to accompany him, it would undoubtedly increase the credibility and influence of the news.

After all, this expert, who was renowned in the scientific community and had won a Nobel Prize, carried significant weight in his words, far beyond what he himself could compare to.

He cast his gaze toward Hillar. At this moment, Hillar was still immersed in the intense shock brought about by Room-temperature superconductivity, muttering to himself:

”I must get to know this genius team. Their ability to introduce Room-temperature superconductivity to this world makes them the real-life Prometheus, the fire-bringer.”

His eyes were filled with admiration and fervent longing, as if he had already seen the radiance of that mysterious team shining in the halls of science.

Smith saw this, couldn’t help but frown, and suddenly spoke up:

”I advise you to abandon that thought.”

Hillar, interrupted by these sudden words, was stunned for a moment. Then, his brows furrowed, and an expression of displeasure appeared on his face. He responded firmly:

”Mr. Smith, you have no right to interfere with my freedom.”

”I am an independent individual. Furthermore, what I am pursuing is pure academic exchange, which has nothing to do with politics.”

Smith sighed helplessly and explained:

”But you must understand, this cable made of Room-temperature superconductivity material was brought back by our spies through improper means.”

”Just think about it, how do you intend to communicate with the Dragon Kingdom?”

”When the time comes, they will likely feign ignorance, or even turn around and question you on how you learned their secrets.”

Upon hearing these words, Hillar’s expression gradually became complicated. He understood in his heart that what Smith said was not without reason.

In the current complex situation, wanting to conduct normal academic exchange with the Dragon Kingdom indeed faced many insurmountable obstacles.

A sense of indignation welled up in his heart, and he complained in a low voice:

”Why can’t everyone get along in a peaceful and cooperative manner?”

”Why must there be such open strife and covert struggles? What good does this do for the development of science?”

After hearing this, Smith just gave a cold laugh and said:

”If not for the struggle between us, you wouldn’t even have the chance to see this Room-temperature superconductivity material.”

”Come on, Professor Hillar, let us inform our President about this news.”

”Perhaps with our maneuvering, the opportunity you want for academic exchange with the Dragon Kingdom will come even sooner.”

Although Hillar still had many grievances in his heart, he understood that the current situation did not allow him to dwell on them too much.

He sighed helplessly and reluctantly agreed to go with Smith.

At the center of the US’s power, The White House!

President Biden was listening to the Secretary of State’s report in a leisurely manner.

”Are you saying that the Dragon Kingdom has truly accepted its fate and is preparing to return to the days of burning coal?”

”This is truly wonderful news!”

”In other words, we just need to wait quietly for the fall of this empire, right?”

President Biden was incredibly excited, his face beaming with a smug smile, as if he had already seen the scene of the Dragon Kingdom heading toward decline.

Immediately, he excitedly had his subordinates open a bottle of long-cherished champagne to celebrate.

The subordinate was slightly taken aback. This bottle of champagne was worth a fortune, and President Biden had always treated it like a treasure, reluctant to drink it; yet now, he was making an exception for this news.

However, just as the subordinate had finished pouring two glasses of wine for President Biden and the Secretary of State!

Suddenly, another subordinate came to report:

”Mr. President, Mr. Smith is here.”

President Biden chuckled and teased:

”He arrived just in time. Did he smell the wine?”

Subsequently, Smith and Professor Hillar walked into the room together.

After a brief introduction, President Biden looked at Hillar with some surprise, wondering why Smith had brought a professor along.

The Secretary of State seemed to know the reason, and he explained to President Biden:

”Previously, our spies obtained a cable material from the Dragon Kingdom; it is exactly the material used by the Dragon Kingdom for laying their power generation network.”

”It was I who asked Mr. Smith to find a professional to study that piece of cable!”

After speaking, he looked at Smith and asked: ”How is the analysis of that material going now?”

Smith shook his head helplessly and turned his gaze to Hillar, signaling for him to explain.

President Biden and the Secretary of State cast curious gazes toward Hillar. The latter took a deep breath and introduced calmly:

”After our rigorous analysis and research, it can be confirmed without a doubt that this material is... Room-temperature superconductivity material.”

Upon hearing this, President Biden and the Secretary of State looked confused; clearly, they did not understand this material.

Seeing this, Hillar began to solemnly introduce the advancement and power of Room-temperature superconductivity, as well as the difficulties and obstacles in the research and development process.

He elaborated in detail on the revolutionary changes that Room-temperature superconductivity might bring in fields such as energy transmission and electronic equipment, as well as the immense efforts and numerous difficulties faced by the global scientific community to achieve this breakthrough.

After listening to Hillar’s introduction, President Biden and the Secretary of State were completely dumbfounded. They widened their eyes, faces filled with disbelief.

”The Dragon Kingdom actually developed such an amazing material?”

”We haven’t even developed it yet, and they actually did it a step ahead of us?”

”The Dragon Kingdom’s technology has actually surpassed us again!”

The Secretary of State muttered to himself, his face filled with shock and anxiety.

”Using this material as a wire, can it save a lot of energy?”

Hillar nodded slightly and said affirmatively:

”That goes without saying. And it’s not just saving a lot of energy; it’s saving a super amount of energy.”

”However, for such a precious material, under normal circumstances, no one would be stupid enough to use it as a wire.”

The Secretary of State swallowed, looked at Smith, and seemed to be seeking further confirmation.

Smith was also bewildered at this moment, and he said slowly:

”According to our intelligence, the Dragon Kingdom is using this material to construct a nationwide power transmission network. They are using this material as regular wire...”

”What????”

Hillar was shocked, his voice rising by several decibels.

”The Dragon Kingdom is actually using such a precious material as wire?”

Smith said helplessly:

”Didn’t I tell you before? That thing is a cable.”

Hillar responded excitedly: ”But you didn’t say it was used as wire nationwide!”

”This shows that the Dragon Kingdom has not only manufactured extremely precious Room-temperature superconductivity material, but has also achieved large-scale application of Room-temperature superconductivity material.”

”More importantly! They are capable of manufacturing this Room-temperature superconductivity material on a large scale!”

”In other words, while we are still struggling for a technological breakthrough, Room-temperature superconductivity material is already as common as cabbage in the Dragon Kingdom.”

Hearing these words from Hillar, these high-ranking officials of the US were all stunned. They looked at each other, unable to speak for a moment.

This huge gap made them feel incomparably shocked and anxious, as if they saw an insurmountable technological chasm lying before them.

”This is too exaggerated!”

”The Dragon Kingdom is going to defy the heavens!” The Secretary of State couldn’t help but exclaim.

If these words hadn’t come from a top industry mogul like Hillar, they would have certainly thought it was alarmist talk.

However, facing Hillar’s authoritative conclusion, they could only silently accept this cruel reality!

The Dragon Kingdom’s technology had surpassed them once again, and the extent of the lead was beyond imagination.

These high-ranking officials were silent for nearly a minute, and the atmosphere in the room was suffocating.

Just as everyone was immersed in shock and helplessness, President Biden suddenly laughed.

The crowd was confused and cast curious gazes toward him. They saw President Biden leisurely pick up his wine glass, take a sip of champagne, and then say slowly:

”No matter, no matter!”

”Anyway, the Dragon Kingdom cannot hold on much longer. No matter how precious or advanced this material is, in the end, it just allows them to use one piece of coal as two!”

”It ultimately cannot change the fact of their energy shortage!”

”On the contrary, I am now even more convinced that they are doing all this precisely because they are short on energy!”

”That is why they want to save energy by changing their power transmission method!”

”In other words...”

”It won’t be long before the Dragon Kingdom can no longer hold on. They are now on the verge of collapse!”

”Hehehe...”

President Biden’s laughter echoed in the room.
