Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 222 God, you’re so unfair! The previous Engineer had been constantly questioned about his professionalism. Seeing the shocked expression on the later Engineer’s face, he couldn’t help but pull a cold sneer from the corner of his mouth, his eyes filled with disdain.

”May I ask, did we make a mistake?”

”Hmph, I think some people just refuse to give up until they see the coffin. They have to verify it themselves before they’re willing to believe the facts.”

Upon hearing these stinging words, the later Engineer’s face showed a hint of helplessness. He had come with full confidence, thinking he might be able to overturn the previous desperate conclusion. However, after these tens of minutes of careful testing, he could only give up his final struggle.

The person in charge was already burning with anxiety and couldn’t care less about the Engineer’s sarcasm. He quickly leaned forward to ask about the situation:

”How is it? What exactly is going on? Tell me quickly!”

His voice had even changed pitch due to anxiety.

The Engineer helplessly shrugged his shoulders and said with a defeated look:

”Contact the Rocket Department and relaunch the satellites.”

”The number of electron streams carried by this cosmic ray is far beyond our imagination. All key components of the detection satellites have suffered devastating blows without exception!”

”Judging from the current situation, these satellites are completely hopeless. We can only build a new satellite system.”

Hearing all the Engineers speak so decisively, the person in charge felt his heart sink to the bottom, as if it were being tightly gripped by an invisible hand, leaving him unable to breathe.

”Shit!”

He couldn’t help but curse:

”Why are we suffering such a natural disaster?”

”Why is even God working against us?”

”Why, what is all this for?!”

His eyes were bloodshot, filled with unwillingness and anger.

The Secretary of State had originally wanted to give these Engineers a severe scolding!

In his view, this concerned the nation’s major intelligence strategy, and now that things had turned out this way, someone had to take responsibility.

What was even more infuriating was that this guy had just confidently told him they would be the nation’s eyes!

And now it had turned into this!

But before his anger could be released, he suddenly had a change of thought: this cosmic ray attack was indeed an uncontrollable factor, so he couldn’t blame them!

In the end, he could only forcefully vent his pent-up anger on God.

”Sure enough, even God isn’t helping us anymore! What are we supposed to do now?!”

The Secretary of State looked annoyed and paced back and forth on the spot.

Just then, the Engineer seemed to have suddenly thought of something and spoke up:

”Mr. Secretary of State, we are certainly not the only ones affected!”

”Dragon Country’s satellites are so close to ours, they must have all been destroyed too!”

”Don’t worry, we are all in the same boat; they won’t be any better off.”

The others also echoed in agreement!

Hearing this, the Secretary of State felt a little relieved. He was just about to say ”It seems God is fair; He won’t let only us be unlucky,” when suddenly, the screen lit up without warning!

In that instant, he was stunned, his eyes wide, unable to believe what he was seeing, muttering to himself:

”This... what is going on? Has the satellite system recovered?”

He quickly looked at the person in charge!

But the person in charge did not look very happy; he frowned and explained the reason with a grave face:

”Mr. Secretary of State, I’m afraid I have to disappoint you. This is a satellite we were using for another mission that we temporarily redirected to observe the situation here.”

”I want to determine whether this is a natural disaster or a man-made one! This matter is too suspicious; it cannot just be left unexplained.”

The Engineer listened and confidently stated:

”Although the electron stream contained in this cosmic ray is somewhat rare, after all, in the vast universe, no matter how rare the phenomenon, it is normal!”

”From what we know so far, it is definitely a natural disaster! Moreover, there is absolutely no country in this world capable of simulating this kind of cosmic ray! I can guarantee it!”

He spoke with absolute certainty, as if what he said were an unquestionable truth.

However, just as he finished speaking, the image displayed on the screen made his face instantly turn pale.

On the screen, some satellites were still operating normally, orbiting the Blue Planet in an orderly manner, executing their respective tasks; the blinking signal lights seemed to be mocking their current sorry state.

In contrast, their satellites, although still orbiting the Blue Planet, had clearly deviated from their orbits, like a group of lost children drifting aimlessly in space. Furthermore, those satellites were lifeless, clearly completely paralyzed.

And what they found unbearable was that those satellites operating normally...

Appeared to be Dragon Country’s.

Seeing this, everyone was stunned, and the entire Satellite Department fell into a dead silence, with only the flickering light on the screen ruthlessly reflecting their shock and panic.

The person in charge immediately shouted, his voice cracking from excessive agitation!

”Why are all of Dragon Country’s satellites fine, while all of ours are destroyed?”

”This... how is this possible!”

His eyes were as wide as copper bells, his face full of disbelief.

The Secretary of State couldn’t hold it together anymore; he looked up at the sky and shouted:

”God, You are biased! You are taking sides!!! Whose faith are You anyway?!”

His hands waved in the air like a madman who had lost his sanity. At this moment, his heart was full of confusion and indignation at this sudden turn of events.

Someone speculated at this moment:

”Could it be that Dragon Country is behind this? Why are their satellites fine, but ours are broken? This is too coincidental; it makes one suspicious.”

The Engineer listened and immediately retorted:

”I just said it couldn’t be them. How could Dragon Country possibly fire cosmic rays?”

”Besides, we retrieved the cosmic footage before these satellite failures, and there was nothing there!”

”If you insist on saying that Dragon Country fired cosmic rays from the ground into the sky, then I can only say, you have too much imagination!”

”This is simply nonsense.”

The person in charge refused to give up and added:

”Then could it be that Dragon Country invented some kind of stealth device that fired the rays?”

The Engineer shrugged helplessly:

”You have even more imagination!”

”How could such a thing be possible? If such a device really existed, that would be something else; it would have shocked the whole world long ago.”

Just then, a subordinate suddenly pointed to a satellite and said:

”Look, that satellite that is also broken doesn’t seem to be ours...”
