Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 214 You’re tech-savvy!Commander Liu Chengzhi was truly deeply shocked by the number of Mechs that ”The Oil Tycoon,” Oil Country, had purchased this time!

2.4 trillion! What a staggering figure this was!

One must know that Dragon Country’s entire annual military budget is only around 1.7 trillion; this is almost equivalent to Dragon Country’s military budget for a full year plus an extra quarter.

Commander Liu Chengzhi couldn’t help but secretly tease in his heart: Is Oil Country planning to cover Dragon Country’s military budget for the next year??? Damn it, you are way too polite!

And what is the cost of eighty Mechs? A simple calculation shows it’s less than 500 million.

This cost isn’t even enough to cover the discount given for each unit.

Thinking about the discount, Commander Liu Chengzhi completely understood. It turned out the other party wasn’t concerned about the discounts because they lacked money, but because the purchase volume was so large that what originally seemed like a trivial discount became quite substantial in this massive transaction.

This discount was equivalent to saving Oil Country 40 billion, enough to buy another Mech.

Commander Liu Chengzhi tried hard to restrain the surging excitement in his heart, doing his best to make his voice sound calm and composed. He slowly said: ”Since it’s eighty units, I will finalize the contract on my end!”

This seemingly unremarkable sentence actually held a hidden meaning; it was effectively a clever way to confirm whether Oil Country was joking or serious.

After all, a transaction for eighty Mechs was too astonishing, and he needed to further confirm the other party’s true intentions.

However, what was interesting was that even though he was the one who made the joke first, he had now amused himself.

He hadn’t expected that a casual joke he made would almost turn into reality.

Prince Aodebiao nodded, his face still carrying a hint of surprise.

In his heart, he couldn’t help but feel a bit more respect for Commander Liu Chengzhi.

Mr. Liu is truly a general of a great power!

An order of over two trillion, yet he remains so calm!

At this moment, Prince Aodebiao suddenly thought of something and immediately spoke up: ”Mr. Liu, could we exchange the funds from that discount for more Mechs?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi nodded without hesitation, indicating it was no problem.

By this calculation, 10 billion remained.

Commander Liu Chengzhi said again: ”Your country has taken such good care of our business that our discount now pales in comparison!”

”If your country is willing, I can apply to my superiors to sell you one more Mech for the remaining 10 billion!”

Hearing this, Prince Aodebiao was stunned for a moment, his heart filled with surprise and joy.

He didn’t have a particularly clear concept of tens of billions, but he clearly knew the powerful combat capability and strategic value that a single Mech represented.

He even started to worry on Dragon Country’s behalf, saying: ”Won’t your country make very little profit this way?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi couldn’t help but want to laugh in his heart!

A Mech that costs hundreds of thousands, sold to you for 10 billion, and you’re worried we aren’t making much profit?

But outwardly, he said with a straight face: ”It’s no matter. There aren’t many left who understand technology like you do!”

”We naturally cherish our cooperation with you! Making a little less profit is nothing.”

”Oh, right!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi suddenly seemed to recall something important—words that Elder Qin had said to him later, which flashed through his mind.

His expression froze, and he then said to Prince Aodebiao: ”We also understand your country’s situation; this energy crisis has impacted you significantly at the root.”

”Since your country has spent a large amount of funds to purchase Mechs this time, if your finances are tight, you can use oil to pay for this transaction.”

Upon hearing this, Prince Aodebiao of Oil Country saw his originally confident expression instantly replaced by a look of distress.

He sighed helplessly and said: ”Actually... we cannot extract oil in our country for the time being.”

Commander Liu Chengzhi was somewhat shocked; he widened his eyes, his face full of disbelief: ”Has the impact of this energy crisis on you been that great? You can’t even extract oil anymore?!!!”

Prince Aodebiao frowned, his face full of indignation, and said: ”Eagle Sauce’s plan this time was clearly plotted for a long time.”

”The damage they caused to our oil wells is immense; they fundamentally destroyed our extraction equipment!”

”To be honest, the key technology and components for those devices were all monopolized by Eagle Sauce.”

”It will be hard for our oil wells to return to their previous production levels for a year or a year and a half.”

Speaking up to this point, Prince Aodebiao gritted his teeth tightly, sparks of hatred flashing in his eyes; clearly, he hated Eagle Sauce for what they had done.

He slammed the table hard and immediately declared: ”I wish I could make Eagle Sauce end up just like Daishin.”

Hearing this hate-filled speech, Commander Liu Chengzhi was startled.

He asked tentatively and with some concern: ”So... your country is suddenly purchasing so many Mechs—you aren’t preparing to declare war on Eagle Sauce, are you!”

”I remember you previously purchased twenty Mechs, and now you’ve bought over eighty more, which adds up to about one hundred Mechs in total.”

”It’s not that I underestimate Eagle Sauce, but your current military strength is already comparable to theirs! With over a hundred Mechs descending upon Eagle Sauce, they might not be able to stop you!”

Prince Aodebiao was stunned at first upon hearing his words, but then he couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

The laughter carried a hint of pride and satisfaction; clearly, Commander Liu Chengzhi’s words had struck a chord with him.

He asked with a smile: ”Mr. Liu, do you think so too?”

In fact, Prince Aodebiao’s purchase of so many Mechs was not a whim, but stemmed from that statement by the Mech AI.

Previously, when discussing military strategy, after the Mech AI assessed the current military situation, it concluded that only one hundred Mechs would be enough to deal with Eagle Sauce.

To Prince Aodebiao, the subtext of these words was: as long as he gathered one hundred Mechs, he could stand on equal footing with Eagle Sauce?

That was Eagle Sauce, after all—a global military hegemon that had always been high and mighty, leaving others only able to look up to them.

Now, thinking that one day their Oil Country could catch up to Eagle Sauce in terms of military strength, Prince Aodebiao felt his blood burning wildly, his heart filled with extreme ecstasy and anticipation.

It was precisely driven by this strong motivation that he came up with the bold idea to expand the Mech Legion.

Now that Commander Liu Chengzhi said the same, it boosted his confidence even more.

At this moment, in his heart, their Oil Country had already become a military power comparable to Eagle Sauce.

He couldn’t help but straighten his back, a proud expression appearing on his face.

He immediately struck a pose like a high-ranking official of a major military power, cleared his throat, and said: ”Although we hate Eagle Sauce very much, they possess Nuclear Weapons.”

”We are worried that if we push them too far, the whole world will be plunged into the threat of nuclear war!”

”We don’t want to see a global restart, so we have decided to let them go for now.”
