Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 229 Please share your thoughts! The words of the Secretary of State were like a heavy boulder.

With a ”thud,” it was cast into the sea of their hearts, which had originally been as calm as a lake!

In an instant, it stirred up turbulent ripples in everyone’s hearts.

The impact contained in these words made them all involuntarily jump in fright, and a complex expression of mingled terror and worry appeared on everyone’s faces.

”Previously, the Dragon Country was forced to close its entry and exit channels; that was due to the exigencies of the situation!”

”But now, they have actually closed them voluntarily. This... could it be that they are preparing to take the initiative to attack?”

Someone couldn’t help but say in a trembling voice, and the sound echoed in the quiet conference room like the ringing of a war alarm.

Upon hearing this, everyone fell into deep thought, their minds involuntarily beginning to put themselves in the other’s shoes.

”If the mechs and the Longwei-class Strategic Warship had been developed by us, we would definitely be much more arrogant than the Dragon Country is now!”

”We would have long since relied on these advanced weapons to provoke other countries just to fill our own pockets; how could we be as low-key as the Dragon Country?”

A person said this with a flushed face, their eyes flashing with greed and fanaticism.

And what about the Dragon Country?

After possessing these weapons that could be called world-changing, they acted as if these things didn’t exist at all, continuing to live their lives as usual, doing whatever they needed to do.

Before this, they had suspected more than once, why was the Dragon Country so capable of enduring?

Possessing such powerful weapons and not utilizing their value now—were they waiting for these weapons to become obsolete and turn into a pile of scrap metal?

In their view, this was simply incomprehensible.

”It seems now that they don’t want to endure it anymore.”

Someone muttered to themselves in a low voice, their words tinged with a hint of nervousness.

Smith listened to the discussion from the side and couldn’t help but want to speak as well.

He frowned and said with a puzzled face: ”But the Dragon Country is currently suffering from an energy crisis!”

”Do they still dare to start a war?”

”Don’t their mechs and those Strategic Warships need energy to be powered?”

”Starting a war at this time is like dancing on a tightrope; it is extremely dangerous!”

”Once the day comes when energy is insufficient and those advanced weapons cannot be used, the country will inevitably fall into turmoil due to the lack of energy. They shouldn’t want to see such a scenario, right!”

The Secretary of State listened to Smith’s words, shook his head slightly, and said with a serious expression:

”You are still underestimating the Dragon Country!”

”If they really wanted to start a war, they wouldn’t need a protracted one at all. With their current strength, as long as they were willing, they could eliminate the enemy in at most one month!”

”Of course, that applies to other countries! If they were fighting us, it would take them at least half a year!”

”As for the energy problem... they only need to continuously plunder energy to maintain their combat effectiveness!”

Speaking up to this point, the Secretary of State paused, his brows furrowing slightly as if he had thought of something else.

”However...”

The Secretary of State suddenly added: ”However, doing this is very risky!”

”After all, we have Nuclear Weapons in our hands!”

”Once we are pushed too far, we might as well restart the world!”

”The Dragon Country may not be willing to bear such a risk!”

”Regarding this, I have another guess.”

The words of the Secretary of State were like a magnet, instantly gathering everyone’s gaze upon him.

President Biden was being troubled by this complex situation and couldn’t figure it out. Hearing that the Secretary of State had other guesses, he couldn’t help but prick up his ears, listening intently to his upcoming thoughts.

The Secretary of State slowly scanned everyone with his gaze, his eyes revealing a hint of confidence, and he said slowly:

”Do you still remember the intelligence we obtained before?”

”The Dragon Country has developed a Superconductor and is building a massive nationwide power generation network.”

”I guess the Dragon Country might be about to activate the Room-temperature superconductivity transmission circuit!”

”I have discovered that the people of the Dragon Country have a habit; when doing certain major things, they always like to pick some so-called auspicious days!”

”It is very likely that they are preparing to activate the Room-temperature superconductivity transmission circuit on the eve of the Spring Festival, hoping to boost the confidence of their citizens through this method.”

Smith listened to the Secretary of State, his eyes lighting up as if he had suddenly grasped some key information, and he hurriedly said:

”According to your logic, it is even less likely that the Dragon Country will start a war around the Spring Festival.”

”After all, this is a very joyous day, and they would consider it bad luck!”

”Therefore, this action is very likely related to Room-temperature superconductivity!”

President Biden nodded upon hearing this. His originally furrowed brows gradually relaxed, and a look of realization flashed in his eyes.

He suddenly felt enlightened and felt that the Secretary of State’s words made a lot of sense.

”The Dragon Country closing its entry and exit points is very likely related to the Room-temperature superconductivity technology that the Dragon Country broke through earlier.”

”The Spring Festival is indeed a day worth celebrating. If they can announce this good news on such an important day, it can be described as a double blessing!”

”As for the Dragon Country, they have always liked to do things this way.”

The more President Biden thought about it, the more he felt his deduction was correct, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously lifted slightly, revealing a smug smile.

In his view, he had completely grasped the Dragon Country’s intentions.

He couldn’t help but sneer, thinking to himself:

”Although they want to use Room-temperature superconductivity technology to save energy consumption in order to alleviate the energy crisis,”

”but the energy saved during this transmission process is not even worth mentioning compared to the huge energy gap in the Dragon Country!”

”According to the words of the Dragon Country, it’s called... a drop in the bucket!”

Everyone burst into laughter after hearing President Biden’s words.

The laughter echoed in the conference room, and the dull, oppressive atmosphere instantly vanished without a trace, replaced by excitement and joy, with everyone’s faces beaming with a smug expression as if victory were right before their eyes.

In their view, the Dragon Country seemed to have fallen into a desperate situation, and they were about to welcome the dawn of victory.

Just then, the Secretary of State’s eyes suddenly lit up, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, and he revealed a mysterious smile...

Everyone noticed his unusual behavior and turned to look at him one after another!

President Biden asked in confusion: ”Mr. Secretary of State, what’s wrong with you?”

The Secretary of State smiled calmly.

He looked at everyone again and said:

”I have an idea that can strike at the Dragon Country!”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone opened their eyes wide in unison!

Seeing that he was composed and faintly carried a sense of confidence, President Biden immediately became full of curiosity about his idea!

”Mr. Secretary of State, please tell us your thoughts!”

The Secretary of State cleared his throat and began:

”It is...”
