Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 148 The Confrontation between Sunlight and ShadowChapter 148 The Confrontation between Sunlight and Shadow
The appearance of the Lotte sunflower looks quite cute. On its chubby stem, there is a blooming flower that always maintains a smiling expression, which indeed fits the name ”Lotte”.

However, the cute appearance does not affect the strength of Lotte Sunflower, and it will not show mercy at all.

After receiving the instructions from the owner, the wide leaves of this Lotte sunflower began to glow with dazzling white light, which was a symbol of rapidly accumulating light energy.

It has to be said that the specialization of leaves has indeed greatly improved the plant-type pets.

Since the area that receives sunlight is more than twice as wide as that of ordinary members of its species, the solar cannon, which was originally released very slowly, almost only took two and a half seconds to complete the charge.

Swish-!
Accompanied by the sound of waves caused by a large amount of energy streaking through the air, a white beam of light as thick as an adult’s thigh spurted out from Lotte Sunflower’s head and shot towards Ayou fiercely.

Solar Cannon is essentially a plant-based skill, but since its energy source is pure sunlight, the skill also contains a certain amount of light attributes. In terms of restraint, it is equivalent to a skill with both plant-based and light-based attributes.

The light attribute is in a mutually restrained relationship with the evil attribute and ghost attribute that symbolize darkness. If it is successfully hit by this solar cannon, Ayou, a big crispy person, will definitely be directly hit hard.

Fortunately, the attack range of the Sunlight Cannon is much smaller than that of the Flying Leaf Storm. Facing the laser beam of light, it immediately used the Nightmare Butterfly Shadow to avoid the attack.

With Ayou’s current strength, he can disperse six phantoms even without using the shadow form.

Coupled with the floating ability given by the enhanced fluff, it should have been able to easily dodge the solar cannon that stirred up the air waves. At most, it would only be destroyed by a phantom.

However, the solar cannon, one of the signature skills of the plant system, is not as easy to deal with as some low- and mid-level energy-based skills that can only shoot directly.

After smashing a butterfly shadow here, the light beam, which had lost momentum, actually turned a corner and scattered two more butterfly shadows in an arc.

But in the blink of an eye, more than half of the six butterfly shadows were broken, which made both Ayou and Russell feel a lot of pressure.

It’s difficult to dodge attacks by dodging alone. This is where lock-on skills are so stupid.

Russell’s choice to let Ayou face Lotte Sunflower was mainly due to the fact that the phantom skill restrained the solar cannon.

If it were Daolang who was fighting here, after it swayed slightly to dodge the first blast from the solar cannon, it would probably be hit by a turning carbine right away.

Even though Daolang’s body is much stronger than Ayou’s, and it has skills like mithril armor to increase magic resistance, it is not a tank-type insect beast after all.

The Solar Cannon is a powerful skill with power across levels. The environment of the Greenleaf Gym also has a significant increase in plant-type beasts. If it takes a few more hits, even the fourth-level beasts will find it difficult to withstand it.

However, Russell still underestimated the offensive ability of Lotte Himawari in the gym.

Ayou’s release of the Nightmare Butterfly Shadow is not completely instantaneous, and the energy consumption is not low. With Lotte Sunflower’s clearing frequency of more than once every two seconds, if it can break three butterfly shadows every time, Ayou will hardly be able to fight back. Opportunity.

”Ayou, try to spread the butterfly shadow as much as possible.”

Realizing this, Russell quickly asked Ayou to adjust his avoidance strategy.

Originally, for phantom skills to have the best disorienting effect, the distance between phantoms should not be too far, so that the illusion can effectively cover the entity.

However, this Lotte Sunflower does not seem to have any detection capabilities. Let Ayou disperse the phantoms, which can effectively avoid being dispersed by the sun cannon to disperse multiple butterfly shadows at once.

The subsequent change in the battle situation proved that Russell’s decision was very correct.

When Ayou spreads the distance between each butterfly shadow to about two meters, the limited turning arc of the solar cannon can no longer take into account multiple angles, and it can basically only crush one or two butterfly shadows at a time.

In this way, Ayou can free up his hands to fight back while ensuring his own safety.

”Use Nether Explosion to directly attack Lotte Sunflower’s body!” Not wanting to miss this rare opportunity to attack, Russell immediately ordered Ayou to directly launch a fierce attack on Lotte Sunflower.

call--

”Watch me blow it up!”

After being pressed and beaten for a long time, Ayou had already become impatient. It immediately flapped its wings and gathered the surrounding ghost energy.

Unlike the balanced forest dryad, Lotte Sunflower’s body is only half a human tall and has no hard and thick body parts. It is a typical glass cannon.

If you can directly attack its body, one or two Nether Explosions should be enough to take it down.

However, Ye Qingyu, who has much more practical experience than Russell, knows his Xiao Jiujiu very well.

In addition, it was already the second time they fought, and Ye Qingyu still knew Ayou’s attack mode very well.

Use the phantom skill to improve the output environment, and then charge up the powerful Nether Explosion. This is an excellent combination skill that low-level pet beasts can master.

However, in a combination that requires charging, it will inevitably leave time for the opponent to defend.

When he felt the faint energy fluctuations around him, Ye Qingyu decisively asked Lotte Sunflower to use the interference skill.

Hehe...

Following a burst of slightly ghostly laughter, the Lotte Sunflower shone brightly, like a multi-kilowatt light bulb, instantly causing everyone present to squint their eyes.

This is the low-level skill ”Strong Light” of the light system. The effect is very simple. It causes the opponent to be temporarily blinded by the intense light that lights up instantly.

After being hit by the strong light skill, everyone felt their eyes sore and their eyes turned white, making it impossible to see what was in front of them.

This kind of range control, which does not even spare the audience, naturally affects Ayou, who is accumulating Nether Explosion.

As an insect with compound eyes and excellent vision, Ayou is more sensitive to light and is more blinded by strong light.

With its vision blurred, it could only continue to condense ghost energy in the direction in its memory.

At the same time, Lotte Sunflower’s legs transformed from roots, Sayazi ran to the side.

Flower-type pets are much inferior to tree-type pets in terms of defense, but their flexibility is greatly improved.

Although Lotte Himawari didn’t run fast, she managed to move a distance of three to four meters in two seconds.

hum...

The next moment, violent ghost energy exploded, shattering many plants planted in the battle field.

However, this Netherworld explosion was so crooked that it missed Lotte Sunflower by half the battlefield, and it failed to hit even the slightest trace of the aftermath.

Lotte Sunflower, who had regained her position, had already taken the opportunity to accumulate the next wave of light energy, and once again shot a hot sun beam towards Ayou.
