Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 134 The Dilemma of the Shipping IndustryChapter 134 The Dilemma of the Shipping Industry

Upon hearing Tong Mingzhu’s words, Russell’s first reaction was not that a large enterprise had extended an olive branch to him, which was worthy of joy, but that he was surprised.

Based on the information at hand?
What information?
This woman has actually investigated herself?

However, his performance during this period may be regarded as a promising young man in Senluo City, but at the level of the entire principality, it does not seem to be very eye-catching.

In terms of performance, although Russell’s two contracted beasts are better than ordinary people, they can’t be said to be very powerful yet.

According to the recorded official battle records, he was only the rookie champion of the quarterly event, and he couldn’t even clear the gym in one go. Tong Mingzhu, who used platinum-level dragon beasts to make barbecue, would definitely look down on him.

As for the capture of the Moon Demon Rabbit, as well as the investigation of the Fire Stealing Group with Turandot, these are secret operations that the Longquan City Beast Control Alliance attaches great importance to, and the level of confidentiality is so high that even Dr. Xia Mu does not know the full story.

Even if Flying Wing Shipping Company is large in scale and has incredible financial resources, it shouldn’t be that easy to find out detailed information.

Thinking about it this way, most of the information the other party mentioned was about production and cultivation.

But the business of Yuchongwu has just emerged. Tong Mingzhu clearly doesn’t even pay attention to local established large enterprises such as Senluo Clothing Company. She has come all the way to Senluo City to talk about some routine things. Even Russell himself didn’t believe in the cooperation project.

...Did Tong Mingzhu know that she could filter energy for insect-type beasts and cultivate and evolve them in a targeted manner?
Thinking of this possibility, Russell suddenly became alert.

I politely invited myself to the door, but as soon as I opened my mouth, I made it clear that I had been investigated, and it felt like a Hongmen Banquet...

However, looking at Tong Mingzhu enjoying tea leisurely, Russell quickly dismissed the possibility of the beast-controlling talent being discovered.

In the world of beast control, everyone can awaken the talent of beast control. No matter how strong or weak the effect is, there are definitely countless types.

In addition, many people are unwilling to fully reveal their trump cards and often choose to hide the effects of their talents. Even the Beast Control Alliance dare not say that they can clearly distinguish every beast control talent.

Although Russell did see many cases of kidnapping talented teenagers in the information about the Fire Stealing Group and other wanted organizations, those people had basically used their talents in public.

For example, the girl Gloria, who is still on the search and rescue list, disappeared after exposing her talent of ”Miracle Light” in order to treat a group of pet beasts infected by the plague.

In contrast, I have never done such a blatant act.

Even if he occasionally needs to show his abilities in exchange for some resources, he only appears as an ”Insect Whisperer” who can communicate with insect-type pets. He never dares to reveal any of his abilities such as energy screening and evolutionary aura.

Thinking about it this way, even if Tong Mingzhu came prepared, it would be just a guess at best.

Furthermore, despite the turbulent undercurrents in the world of beast control, on the surface it still pays attention to fairness and the rule of law, and the beast control alliance will also crack down on some acts of plunder and robbery.

She picked people up at the gate of the Imperial Insect House using an airship with a huge emblem of her company on it, so she probably wouldn’t do anything outrageous that would damage the company’s goodwill.

After thinking for a moment, Russell simply gave an ambiguous answer:

”I have some secret recipes for breeding insect-type pets, but I don’t know what you need.”

On the one hand, he generously admitted that he was indeed better than others in cultivating insect-type beasts, and established some bargaining capital for this meeting. But at the same time, he has not clearly quantified his cultivation ability. Whether he can cooperate requires a detailed analysis of the specific situation.

”You don’t have to feel embarrassed. I’m not interested in competing with Tian Xiu for business like colored worm silk.”

Tong Mingzhu didn’t seem to care about Xiao Jiujiu in Russell’s heart. She pointed to one of the documents in her hand and said:
”Do you have the confidence to cultivate these two pet beasts?”

Following Tong Mingzhu’s direction, Russell carefully read the information written on the document.

He was familiar with the two pet beasts recorded in the document, namely the silver-level iron chrysalis silkworm and the weaver worm, both of which were completely pure insect-type pet beasts.

Among them, the weaverworm is also a close relative of the dead leaf cloakworm, and it is also an insect that mainly uses mucus for food and defense.

It’s just that it doesn’t have the key ability to release mucus, and its movement speed is very slow. At most, it can only serve as a shield for a stupid creature to be beaten.

Therefore, even if the bloodline level reaches Natural Silver, it is still an unpopular pet beast that few people will choose.

According to the document description, the worm silk and mucus produced by these two pet beasts are the most suitable materials for making lightweight, non-all-metal structure aircraft after countless experiments, preparations, and explorations.

However, judging from the industry data held by Feiyi Shipping Company, the parameters of the above two insect-based materials seem to have stagnated for many years without any breakthrough.

The human world continues to develop, and as safe routes are gradually developed, most aviation companies, including Flying Wings Shipping Company, have begun to try to open more remote routes.

During this process, the problem of insufficient strength of iron chrysalis silk and weaver mucus became increasingly prominent. The high accident rate forced the Flying Wing Shipping Company to abandon many of its original development plans.

It is also because of this that high-cost purely mechanical aircraft are gradually becoming mainstream in recent years.

At first, Russell was a little confused when he saw the report repeatedly mentioning the shortage of high-quality materials.

The quality of the materials is absolutely directly proportional to the strength of the pet beast itself.

Although the upper limit of the race of insect-type pets is low, if they are carefully cultivated as contracted pets and nourished by the beast-controlling space, they can still be much stronger than in the wild.

After all, not everyone wants to be a professional beast master and make a living by fighting and hunting.

If the benefits provided by the Flying Wing Shipping Company are really generous, it would seem to be a good thing to contract a few insect beasts to become a professional aviation material supplier.

However, when he saw the amount of materials required to build an airship or hot air balloon and the average purchase price, Russell immediately gave up his immature idea.

Probably because the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent was too powerful, he successfully cultivated excellent materials and pet beasts that were snatched up at high prices without much effort, so the average market price of insect materials was slightly overestimated.

Especially since Rainbow Yarn, which has earned Russell millions of credit points so far, is still used like a treasure by Tian Xiuqi, who has to promote an exclusive cooperation right from time to time, it has given him a business of insect-based materials. There is not much competition, and the illusion of making money is easy...
