Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 138 Depressed WorkerChapter 138 Depressed Worker
In the early morning, Xu Youshan woke up from his simply decorated bedroom. His face looked a little tired because he had only rested in the middle of the night last night.

As a professional manager who has been working in the shipping industry for almost 20 years, with his rich experience in route development, he successfully switched jobs from a small company to Feiyi Shipping Company a few years ago.

Opening up routes is not only a technical job, but also a physical job. A precise sense of direction and outstanding own strength are both indispensable. Xu Youshan has been highly regarded since he joined the company.

However, the business of developing remote routes in the past two years has severely frustrated his confidence.

Because aircraft materials have not yet been improved, crashes occurred during test drives on several routes that Xu Youshan and his colleagues worked hard to explore.

Although they, professionals who have been engaged in the shipping industry for many years, have contracted more than one flying beast, and there have been no casualties in terms of personnel, more than one billion in project funds have been wasted.

Even if Ms. Tong Mingzhu didn’t say anything, Xu Youshan himself could feel that the other party’s attitude was much colder than in previous years.

Moreover, this indifference also contains a hint of anxiety.

As a senior person in the industry, Xu Youshan is fairly well-informed and probably knows what the boss is worried about.

Among the four major principalities, the northern principality is located in the cold zone and often suffers from hail and blizzards, while the eastern principality is close to the sea and mainly relies on water transportation. A few air routes are enough.

The only company that can really compete with the Flying Wing Shipping Company is the Hurricane Shipping Company of the Western Principality.

The Western Principality is located in a grassland wilderness area. It has more than cloudless days a year, and the wind is very strong.

If the products there were not relatively scarce and the population was smaller than that of the Southern Principality, the scale of Hurricane Shipping Company would have been larger than that of Flying Wing Shipping Company.

In addition, there have been recent reports from the Western Principality that the Hurricane Shipping Company has found a dragon-taming tribe to serve as a route development team and will also serve as a convoy team in the future, so their development momentum is very strong.

Although not everyone in the so-called dragon-taming tribe actually owns a giant dragon, relying on the tribe’s years of breeding, the popularity of sub-dragon species and dragon beasts should be no problem.

One of the most classic distinctive abilities of the Dragon Clan is Dragon Power.

As the strongest deterrent skill known, even the multi-level weakened version of Dragon Power can scare away most wild beasts.

Having a dragon or dragon beast escort can indeed greatly increase the safety of the route.

In addition, dragon beasts are generally relatively large in size. Even if something goes wrong with the aircraft, an adult flying dragon can forcibly move the cabin to another location with brute force.

Because this gimmick really makes people feel safe, some cities at the junction of the Southern Principality and the Western Principality have begun to terminate their contracts with the Flying Wing Shipping Company and switch to the arms of Hurricane Shipping.

Ms. Tong Mingzhu was naturally angry about this.

For a while, she even posted bounties all over the world, trying to find a dragon-taming tribe to cooperate with.

It’s a pity that it is not common for tribes to tame the same pet beast for generations, let alone the extremely rare dragon-taming tribe.

Even if Tong Mingzhu is willing to spend a lot of money, it is not easy to find a group of escorts with dragon beasts.

It is said that Hurricane Shipping Company also happened to get a batch of real dragon and dragon egg fossils, and in exchange, signed an agreement with the dragon-taming tribe.

As for other tribes that domesticate flying beasts, there are quite a few, but in the wild where the number of pet beasts far exceeds that of humans, it is obviously unwise to use quantity to make up for quality.

If an aircraft is accompanied by a group of mediocre guard beasts, it may have the opposite effect, let alone scare away the wild beasts.

In the eyes of some high-level beasts, humans or goods escorted by a group of novices are as conspicuous as a buffet in the sky.

Therefore, after much thought, Ms. Tong Mingzhu decided to try to open up new routes by focusing on improving the quality of the aircraft itself.

…………

Since then, Xu Youshan’s life has also undergone tremendous changes.

From passionate wild adventures to find routes, to going to various exchanges and auctions day after day, purchasing materials with several breeding experts hired by Ms. Tong Mingzhu.Although he still received the same salary, Xu Youshan’s route surveying skills, which he was most proud of, were all in vain when he switched from field service to civilian work.

This kind of life of purchasing and completing formalities every day is really boring, and it is also very replaceable. I don’t know when I will be laid off.

In the past few days, I don’t know what evil the boss had, but because of the news and a simple investigation, he came to Senluo City and discussed business with a young boy.

What Xu Youshan didn’t expect was that when she came, Ms. Tong Mingzhu only said she wanted to try her luck, but within a short time of talking, she seemed to have been brainwashed by the boy named Russell.

Even if she wants to invest in experiments and allocate some funds, she actually wants to set up a branch here...

Because he was the branch representative authorized by Tong Mingzhu, Xu Youshan had to handle all the procedures before and after setting up the company.

He was busy until midnight yesterday just to estimate the number of potential customers in this area and submit a follow-up development intention to Feiyi Shipping Headquarters.

And these are almost all things that have disappeared...

If the young man named Russell couldn’t cultivate anything in the end, this branch might be withdrawn immediately.

It’s really just a word from the boss that makes employees lose their legs.

Therefore, Xu Youshan has not been in a good mood since arriving in Senluo City.

To put it simply, it feels like I have been killing fish in the supermarket for ten years, and my heart feels cold.

Perhaps due to too many failures before, Russell’s cultivation has just begun, and he has even thought about how to reduce the losses of Flying Wing Shipping Company.

……

Jingle Bell……

In a daze, Xu Youshan’s phone suddenly rang.

The caller ID showed Lu Yinning, it was the assistant from Yu Chongwu, she looked like a little girl who was a student.

Xu Youshan was somewhat impressed by Lu Yinning, because she didn’t know why someone could be so happy while working.

Thinking that the other party was asking for funds or something, he was so frightened that he almost smashed his phone in the face.

”Hello, Manager Xu, the breeding at Yuchongwu has already produced preliminary results. Let’s meet at the breeding ground of Yuchongwu in the afternoon. Do you have time?”

Hearing the voice coming from the mobile phone, Xu Youshan’s pupils shrank and his eyes widened unconsciously.

Out of instinctive disbelief, he confirmed it several times.

It wasn’t until the young man on the other end of the phone started to get a little impatient that Xu Youshan dared to finally confirm that he had heard correctly.

In just over a week, the Flying Wing Shipping Branch has sent over some basic pet beast cubs and equipment, as well as formula materials that have been proven to have no effect before.

Same ration, shorter time, but the other party actually gained something so quickly?
This speed and quality are much better than those experts in Longquan City who charge hundreds of thousands of credits for one experiment no matter what the result is!

Could it be that Ms. Tong Mingzhu really found a treasure this time?

Or is it that the other party is just a charlatan, trying to pass off inferior goods?
Because of his strong curiosity and feeling of disbelief, Xu Youshan couldn’t wait until the afternoon. He immediately got up from the bed and asked anxiously on the phone:

”I’m free now, can I come over and take a look right away?”
