Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 145 Another Battle at Greenleaf GymChapter 145 Another Battle at Greenleaf Gym
After checking all the information about the Silver-winged Knife Beetle, while it was resting on the wooden shelf, Russell took out his phone and looked it up online.

He searched extensively from the public Internet to the Beast Control Alliance’s internal database, but found no records about the Silver-Winged Sword Mantis.

A gold-level pet beast, even if its race is rarer and its abilities are better, will not be kept secret to this extent.

I can’t find any records on the Internet. The only reasonable explanation is that this is a brand new breed of pet animal.

As the discoverer of a new breed of pet, in addition to receiving rewards from the Beast Taming Alliance, you will also have the official naming rights of the pet.

However, the name of the Silver Winged Blade Mantis read by the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent is quite nice, and Russell does not plan to change it. He will just report it under this name when the time comes.

Daodao Mantis finally ended the struggle that lasted for several months and gave himself a very resounding name - Daolang.

Although it sounds a bit familiar and seems a bit awkward, Russell feels that this is consistent with its current appearance of having swords in its arms and a cool posture.

…………

After the pet beast transforms, it will fall into a relatively fragile state. Within a week of the smooth evolution of the mantis, Russell almost didn’t go anywhere.

In addition to regularly going to the No. breeding ground to take care of the batch of pet beasts customized by Feiyi Shipping Company, he spent all the other time accompanying Daodao Mantis.

Faced with such meticulous care, Daodao Mantis quickly adapted to his new body, and became very powerful in the Mantis Boxing, looking like a master in fighting.

The friends who got along day and night reached the intermediate level first, which also gave Ayou a sense of crisis and made her daily training harder.

After a week of devilish training day and night, and a large amount of intermediate cultivation materials sent by the Senluo Beast Control Research Institute, its growth progress has exceeded 70%, and it has barely reached the late third level.

However, in order to help Daodao Mantis advance, the source of evolution previously accumulated by Russell was exhausted. It is unlikely that Ayou will be able to learn the primary night field and the power of the ethereal in the short term.

The power of the ethereal spirit is not bad. There are no pet beasts in the Green Leaf Gym that are good at using shields and defensive skills, so they do not need to have strong defense-breaking abilities for the time being.

However, the night field, which can reduce the light, is a big suppression for Lotte Himawari, who relies on saving sunlight to launch solar cannons, so it is a pity that he did not learn much.

Of course, even without skills in this field, with the hard power of Ayou and Daodao Mantis, Russell is confident that he can successfully pass the gym this time.

After all, Ayou was able to fight the forest tree demon back and forth last time, and now Daolang is regarded as a serious fourth-level pet beast, and his strength has changed qualitatively compared to some time ago.

Although the pet beasts participating in the gym will change according to the challenger’s level, the standard for this change is based on the number of existing badges, not the challenger’s pet level.

Zero gym badges correspond to the lowest level of challenge intensity, which is the mid-level of the third level. From the perspective of level, Russell’s side has the advantage.

In terms of skill configuration, although the leaf-specialized plant beasts of the Green Leaf Gym have quite good combination skills, Ayou and Daolang’s skills are not bad either, and they are in a crushing position in terms of the number of rare skills.

Both the hardware and software are better than the opponent, and this is the second challenge, so I have some experience and understanding. If I still can’t pass, then I really don’t know what level of genius boy it will be to get the badge!
…………

With the desire to win that had been suppressed for more than half a month, and the excitement after Daolang evolved, Russell came to Senluo Avenue, which was full of green leafy plants.

With the experience from last time, Russell found the Green Leaf Gym with ease, signed up as a challenger, and then came to the Husai District.

While going through the formalities, he saw several young people walking out of the gym in disgrace.

It is not difficult to tell from their bloodless faces that they had just been beaten mercilessly by Ye Qingyu.

While waiting quietly in the Husse District, a somewhat bored Russell looked around. In addition to the familiar melon-eating people and Internet celebrity bloggers, he also unexpectedly saw a familiar figure - the young beast master from Silver Wing City. division.

The two of them participated in the gym challenge together last time, and Silver Wing City and Silver Wing Blade Mantis have the same name, so they are destined to be together. However, this time Zhou Wen was sitting in the audience, and like the crowd around him, he held up his camera to take pictures of the stadium.

His behavior is not difficult to understand. It is probably because the pet beast has not recovered from the injury last time, or its strength has not improved significantly, so he plans to observe more challenge matches and try to find some fighting ideas of his own.

The Hussein area is a semi-open-air area. Zhou Wen soon discovered Russell and waved to him in a friendly manner.

As an outsider, Zhou Wen was naturally very happy to see a familiar face in the gym.

He vaguely remembered that Russell was pretty good, at least he didn’t lose as badly as he did.

It’s just that the backlash caused by the injuries to the two pet beasts at that time was really uncomfortable. After Zhou Wen lost, he quickly went to the medical room and failed to watch Russell’s challenge in full.

Seeing the defeated contestants in the same group as him initiate World War II, he immediately became interested. He didn’t even bother to watch the ongoing challenge in front of him, and only looked forward to Russell’s appearance.

A moment later, the last challenger was overwhelmed by the flying leaf storm again, and Russell’s name rang out on the radio again after nearly a month.

After hearing the announcement, Ye Qingyu, who was replacing the new beast with the help of his assistant, raised his eyebrows.

She was quite impressed with the young challenger who had the hope of defeating the forest tree demon last time and who seemed to be full of confidence and not as frustrated as the others after losing.

Ye Qingyu has been waiting for nearly a month. It’s the end of the month, and this kid finally comes to challenge again.

”The second challenge, I hope you can let me see something new.”

Adhering to his usual straightforward style, after saying his opening remarks, Ye Qingyu waved his hand, and a forest tree demon that had just been brought up from the breeding area and was in very good condition slowly walked to the battlefield.

”Daolang, go ahead.”

Seeing the familiar old opponent, Russell summoned Daolang who was impatient in the beast control space and wished he could rush out by himself.

Using Daolang to deal with the forest tree demon, and letting Ayou challenge Lotte Sunflower, this is the strategy that Russell has already planned.

Although Doro’s skill configuration seems to be more suitable for fighting the energy-attack Lotte Himawari, sometimes fighting is not as simple as simply listing skills.

Solar Cannon is a powerful mid-level grass-based skill with a fast rate of fire and a weak locking effect. Mithril armor alone cannot resist it.

Before the alloy claws were upgraded to silver-white blades that could split the light cannon, Daolang wouldn’t have much advantage in front of it.

Although the Flying Leaf Storm’s coverage area is very wide, it does not shoot from blind spots. If your movement skills are good enough, there are still many gaps to dodge.

Moreover, the attacks of each flying leaf in this skill are independent of each other, and the damage caused by a single flying leaf is relatively small.

Coupled with the insect-type’s resistance to the plant-type, and its fourth-level body, even if it gets hit occasionally, it won’t hurt.

With Daolang’s movement speed, as long as it can be prevented from sowing saplings without limit, as the battle time prolongs, he will be able to win with the blessing of unparalleled fighting spirit and leveled suppression.

Sa-!
”Watch me chop down this tree to avenge Ayou!”

Daolang seemed to be full of fighting spirit when he entered the gym for the first time, and Ye Qingyu was also very interested in this silver-white mantis that he had never seen before.

As the preparation countdown ends, the battle is about to begin.
