Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 131 Seeing the incubation materials againChapter 131 Seeing the incubation materials again
After these days of actual combat and cultivation, Ayou’s growth progress has once again passed the halfway mark, and Daodao Mantis, who had reached the third level earlier, is already on the verge of advancement.

During the battle with the crazy big wolf dog of the Fire Stealing Group, one of the broadsword mantis’s blade arms, one hind leg, and half of its wings were broken off.

Even though the injuries at the fracture and internal injuries have improved, it is still in a semi-disabled state.

The simplest and most thorough way to treat these severe limb injuries is undoubtedly to wait for it to evolve again.

Even though mantises do not have the habit of turning into cocoons, the principle of shedding is actually similar to that of turning into cocoons.

In the first few days of molting and growth, the skin of the mantis pet will gradually dry out and harden, but the real body will slowly soften until it is basically energized.

As an insect-type pet with incomplete metamorphosis, the shape of a mantis pet will not change much before and after molting.

However, in the process of energyization, they will reshape their bodies to ensure their combat effectiveness.

It is much more cost-effective to simply advance the sword mantis in one go than to spend a lot of money to hire a therapeutic beastmaster to do the laborious and thankless work of regenerating severed limbs.

If the Great Sword Mantis can be evolved to the early stage of the fourth level, it will also be a great help to challenge the Green Leaf Gym.

…………

With a slight excitement, Russell rode the electromagnetic levitation car and accelerated all the way to the entrance of the Senluo City Beast Control Research Institute.

Before preparing for his advancement, he had to get back the pregnancy materials promised by Dr. Natsuki.

Russell had already seen the magic of breeding materials before during the quarterly rookie competition.

A piece of breeding material from a bronze-level traveling beetle allowed Ayou to awaken the enhanced fluff including floating, paralyzing fluff and other abilities.

Moreover, Da Dao Mantis is about to advance, which is also a difficult opportunity.

The main function of the incubation material is that it may bring about changes in form, limbs, and basic abilities.

Molting evolution happens to be a process of reshaping the body.

Through a special method, adding a portion of the incubation material to the advanced material will make the effect even more outstanding.

Of course, the premise is that this breeding material is compatible enough with the pet beast itself, and indeed contains the abilities that the pet beast needs.

After all, making special advanced materials will only amplify the effect of the breeding materials, but not optimize them.

If the breeding material itself does not match the pet beast, then this ”amplification” will naturally amplify the negative effects...

…………

Now Russell is already a little celebrity in the Senluo City Beast Taming Alliance. With the pass code given to him by Dr. Xia Mu, Russell has unimpeded access to the Beast Taming Research Institute and soon arrives at the warehouse where the breeding materials are stored.

Although he read the list provided by Dr. Natsuki several times before coming here, the actual task of selecting the breeding materials still had to be left to the pet beast himself.

When the door of the warehouse slowly closed, he immediately summoned two pet beasts that had been shouting in the beast control space for a long time.

Yes, Russell planned to let the two pet beasts select breeding materials together.

Although Dr. Natsuki verbally asked him to choose one, there are hundreds of varieties stored in this warehouse. If you eat one or two, you will be enough to eat anyway.

Even the official middle-level personnel of the Beast Control Alliance don’t have many opportunities to come into contact with breeding materials. Russell is reluctant to waste such a good opportunity.

If Ayou and Daodao Mantis could both choose satisfactory breeding materials, he was going to shamelessly pester Dr. Xiamu.

Recently, I have helped the Beast Control Alliance complete several high-level tasks, and the frequency of the institute coming to the Control Bug House to take away experimental beasts has also increased slightly.

If Russell really spoke, he probably wouldn’t refuse.

However, the opportunity to find suitable incubation materials has always been rare. Facts have proved that Russell seemed to be overly worried.

After flying around the warehouse, Ayou sent him a slightly disappointing message:
call--

“I don’t feel like there’s anything I like about it. I think it will have a mediocre effect after eating it.”

Among the hundreds of intermediate and above breeding materials, Ayou didn’t find any that were beneficial to her.

Of course, there are many reasons for this situation, and it is not necessarily a quality issue with the breeding materials.Just like humans need to supplement various vitamins and calcium, but it is not suitable to take supplements at all times, although breeding materials are gentle and easy to absorb for pet animals, they cannot be used anytime and anywhere.

Perhaps because he has mastered several rare mid-to-high-level skills in succession, and there are still two high-level skills in the ability development column, Ayou’s recent potential is a bit lacking.

In this case, if the breeding materials are force-fed, it is easy for the cows to chew the peonies, which is a pure waste.

”It’s okay. I’ll find something delicious for you next time.”

After a little comfort to Ayou, who was a little disappointed because he didn’t find anything good, Russell turned his attention to Daodao Mantis.

If this guy can’t find suitable breeding materials, the reward from the last action can only be converted into general breeding materials that can be purchased with credit points, then he will be at a big loss.

Moreover, he is still the kind of mute who eats Coptis chinensis. Even saying that the Beast Control Alliance is stingy seems unreasonable.

Fortunately, after Daodao Mantis lamely wandered around the warehouse for a while, he lay down in front of a row of shelves and felt it carefully.

sa...

”Both want...”

In the words of Daodao Mantis, it seems that it has more than one favorite goal and is making a fierce decision.

It is a pity that the incubation materials cannot be reused in the short term. Even if Dr. Xiamu is willing, Daodao Mantis will not be able to enjoy two incubation materials.

Therefore, Russell can only wait quietly for it to make a decision.

In fact, if Russell were to choose, he would tend to choose some incubation materials that enhance vision.

While traveling with Turandot, what Russell coveted most was not the powerful dragon language magic, but the extremely excellent infrared vision of the three dragon snakes.

The mantis itself has good three-dimensional vision. If it can add some night vision, infrared vision, far vision and other abilities, it can become a motion capture master and a top lookout.

However, forceful melons are not sweet, and Russell does not want to completely let the pet beast live under his control. Everything still depends on Daodao Mantis’s own choice.

sa...

”You’ve chosen, this is it!”

After thinking for a long time, Daodao Mantis finally made up his mind and chose a box marked with steel attributes.

Although it is not afraid of the experience of broken limbs in battle, the more it fights against powerful enemies, the more it feels its lack of physical strength.

Rather than abilities such as vision, mimicry or speed, it wants to improve the strength of its main means of attack, its pair of blade arms.

Following Daodao Mantis’ gaze, Russell walked to the box it selected.

”The hardened claws of the scimitar-scythe weasel...?”

Reading the introduction on the box softly, Russell quickly understood the reason why Dao Dao Mantis chose it.

The Scimitar Weasel is a gold-level pet beast with dual attributes of steel and evil. It occupies a place among the popular pet beasts because of its extremely sharp claws, which are like several scimitars.

Since the claws are the most important weapons, the strengthening of the two claws almost penetrates the Scimitar Sickle Weasel.

Even when breeding, they tend to choose mates with stronger, sharper claws.

However, the claws of the scimitar weasel cub in the box seemed to be overly strengthened.

It’s unclear why, but its claws were completely metalized before birth, and even its wrists and forearms became as stiff as metal.

This situation not only failed to turn it into a powerful scimitar weasel with extraordinary talents, but also caused the cub to be unable to complete some of the most basic crawling and movements.

Because it couldn’t exert any strength on its own, it couldn’t be born smoothly, and ended up suffocating to death in the mother’s belly...

After reading this brief introduction, Russell nodded slightly.

Although the method of obtaining this breeding material is a bit cruel, it is indeed a good choice for the mantis who wants to strengthen the hardness of his blade arm.
