Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 34 The Unexpected InvitationChapter 34 The Unexpected Invitation

After the rain stopped, the water vapor in the arena quickly dissipated, losing its ubiquitous conductor. The attack intensity, accuracy, range, and perception of the thundercloud elements were all-round weakened.

In addition, because of the rush to return aid, the Netherworld blast just now also affected it. At this moment, the aura of the thunder cloud element was a bit disordered, and the electric light lingering on the energy-like body was much dimmed.

In this state, when they launched a long-range duel with Ayou, the Thunder Cloud Elemental was quickly defeated.

”Unexpected decision! With a wave of courageous attacks, Russell player skillfully cracked the opponent’s rain combination and won the championship of this season’s rookie group city competition!”

As Lindsay loudly announced the result of the final, the audience burst into applause. Most people were happy to see a wonderful battle with back and forth, but there were also a lot of doubts mixed in.

”I really didn’t expect that the champion of the rookie group this time would be the owner of a breeding shop with a double insect type. The last time I saw an insect type beast competing was a few years ago, and the ranking was very average.”

”Didn’t several of the seed players in the rookie group have accidents in the youth training camp this time? I feel that the gold content of this championship is a bit low.”

”It doesn’t matter so much, just let the game be exciting.”

Russell listened to these mixed comments and quickly put them behind him.

He has been a man for two lifetimes and has the talent of ”Cocoon of Evolution” at his side. A little verbal disparagement is not worth taking to heart at all.

What Russell is most concerned about now is the reward exclusively for the newcomer champion in the event promotion, which is the fruit of the legendary Sun Tree, the sacred tree of the Southern Principality.

Unfortunately, after cooperating with the event officials to hold various awards and interview ceremonies for an hour, the host Lindsay told him that due to the attack at the youth training camp, the schedule was shortened by nearly half a month. This group of Suns The tree is not fully mature yet, and it will take some time before Russell is notified to come and collect it.

Regarding this kind of thing, Russell knew that there was no rush. He could only express his gratitude to the competition department, and then left the venue on his own, preparing to return to the Imperial Insect House to continue his daily nurturing life.

As the saying goes, only by combining work and rest can we continue to make progress. After playing a round of competitive matches, he planned to take a vacation for himself, catch up on the dramas he had left some time ago, and find some fun games to play.

Unexpectedly, as soon as Russell walked out of the gate of the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance battle area, two familiar figures came to greet him.

The ones waiting for him here were none other than Li Moran, a researcher at the Senluo Fossil Museum, and Li Moxin, who had just fought against him.

”Russell, I didn’t expect your fighting ability to be so outstanding.”

The busy Li Moran obviously didn’t pay attention to the news of the competition. Today, she took time to cheer for her sister. Unexpectedly, she saw Russell in the finals. She seemed a little surprised.

”So you are the owner of the pet shop that my sister mentioned? Is eating dwarf grass one of your breeding methods?”

As a trainee researcher with a promising future, Li Moxin didn’t care about losing the competition. Instead, she asked Russell about his training skills with great interest.

After the three of them exchanged pleasantries, Li Moran revealed the reason why he was waiting for Russell at the entrance of the battle area:
”Dr. Natsuki just watched the league’s official live broadcast of the game. He sent me a message, hoping to invite you to the Senluo Beast Control Research Institute to visit the insect breeding project.”

After hearing Li Moran’s invitation, Russell was half surprised, but more cautious.

The Senluo Beast Taming Research Institute is an official establishment of the Senluo City Beast Taming Alliance. It is a high-end research institute located at the core of the Beast Taming Academy. The research topics and results it usually announces are quite high-quality.

For example, the success of the honey pot company in introducing hundreds of flowers is closely related to the small flower essence environmental improvement technology provided by the Senluo Yushou Research Institute.

In addition, almost all research institutions in Senluo City are under the management of the Beast Control Research Institute, including the Fossil Museum where Li Moran works. The Dr. Xia Mu Li Moran mentioned is the current head of the Senluo Beast Control Research Institute.

As an authoritative representative of the animal control discipline in Senluo City, he has appeared on various news and official programs many times more than the garrison commander Yan Songbai.

Being invited by Dr. Natsuki to visit the interior of Senluo Beast Control Research Institute is the dream of many practitioners in the breeding industry.

However, it is a bit strange that such an outstanding authority figure in the field of beast control would pay attention to him because of a live broadcast of a quarterly rookie competition.

Thinking of this, Russell was even a little worried that the other party had seen the clues of the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, and wanted to set up a trap to trick him into going inside the institute, and then use him as a new research object to do whatever he wanted...

Thinking of the persecution of superpowers and various cruel experiments he had read in some novels in his previous life, Russell couldn’t help but feel a little numb.

But after thinking about it again, he quickly felt relieved.

After all, he is currently only a small third-level beast master, and the family registration information in the official registration information is even an orphan whose parents have disappeared. If such a huge force as the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance really has ill intentions towards him, We have already started quietly, so there is no need to hold a Hongmen Banquet.

After some analysis, Russell guessed that Dr. Natsuki should have indeed discovered some of his excellence in cultivating pet beasts, but he did not understand the underlying reasons, so he wanted to meet him and discuss about the insect-type pet beasts. The topic of nurturing.

If so, meeting Dr. Natsuki can be said to be a rare opportunity.

After all, the Beast Taming Alliance is extremely rich, and advanced research institutions are the places with the most funds. For a person of Dr. Natsuki’s level, just a little benefit from his fingers is enough for him to work hard for a while. .

With this in mind, Russell finally agreed to the invitation to Senluo Beast Control Research Institute.

…………

Since you are going, of course you have to be polite.

The next morning, he rarely wore a rather formal suit and appeared at the gate of Senluo Beast Control Academy early.

As the largest and oldest beast master academy in Senluo City, it is directly named after the city. The buildings and streets here are full of academic atmosphere and a sense of age.

In the boulevard filled with oak and maple trees, students in uniforms walked slowly forward in twos and threes holding books. Everything seemed quiet and beautiful.

His predecessor was originally a graduate of the training department of Senluo Beast Control Academy. When he returned to his alma mater, Russell also felt a familiar feeling of seeing him again after a long absence.

It’s a pity that this tenderness did not last long...

At first, Russell was happily admiring the campus scenery along the way, but after more than half an hour, he was out of breath and couldn’t help but complain.

”Cross Maple Leaf Avenue, walk 500 meters north, and then turn right onto Yanhu Road... Oh my god, why is this school wider than a small town!”

Due to the campus regulations prohibiting private driving of vehicles, the only public transportation within Senluo Beast Control Academy is the campus bus. To take the bus, you have to swipe your student card. Russell, who is unable to ride the two beasts due to their limited size, can only I walked several kilometers with my legs.

When he finally arrived in front of the Senluo Beast Control Research Institute after many twists and turns, Li Moran was already waiting there anxiously.
