Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 26 Talent UpgradeChapter 26 Talent Upgrade
Having made up his mind, Russell canceled his bus reservation back to the city, then turned back to Lu Yinning and said:
”I have something to take care of. I will stay in the Honey Pot Valley tonight. You can go back to the Insect Control House first.”

Hearing this, Lu Yinning was a little confused, but as a migrant worker, she naturally had no objections.

After having dinner at Honeypot Street, and then sending Lu Yinning to the bus stop at the entrance of Honeypot Valley, Russell stayed at a petal-themed hotel near the flower field.

In order to make it easier to go out at midnight, he specially arranged his room on the first floor.

At nightfall, tourists in twos and threes return to the hotel from all over the valley, and everyone seems to be unsatisfied.

”I don’t understand what Queen Bee wants to see me for...but the honey barbecue is so delicious.”

Russell sat in front of the window, chewing on the crispy-skinned roast meat dripping with honey, while repeatedly thinking about what he had encountered in the honey pot hive not long ago.

”Perhaps it saw the existence of the Cocoon of Evolution and wanted me to help it become stronger?”

After thinking about it, it seems that this is the only possibility.

One way to improve strength with the help of the ”Cocoon of Evolution” is to directly become Russell’s contract pet, but this is obviously impossible.

Not to mention that this queen bee already has her own beast master. With its fifth-level life energy level, it is impossible for Russell to successfully contract with a third-level beast master.

In fact, even if the Queen Bee just asked him to help screen the energy in her body, Russell might not be sure that she could do it.

After all, the higher the level of the pet beast, the greater the strength gap between each level. Every time he helped the third-level mantis to optimize its internal abilities, he would feel a little tired and need to take a nap.

It’s not impossible to rashly select the abilities of a fifth-level pet beast and faint on the spot...

Besides, the core skill of Queen Bee is ”Swarm Will”. If it wants to gain stronger power, instead of working on its own strength, it is better to give birth to more new swarm members.

After thinking for a long time, he couldn’t come up with a reason, so Russell simply took a nap first.

……

When the sun set completely in the west and the half-circle moon hung in the sky, Russell, who had regained his energy, quietly appeared in the silent honeypot valley.

Bees, butterflies, and small plant flower spirits are all active pets during the day. At midnight, they are no longer busy in the valley, but Ayou, who has a nocturnal habit, becomes energetic.

After passing through several field paths, Russell soon came to a flower field blooming with white, blue, and purple flowers.

Under the moonlight, patches of bluebells sway slightly with the evening breeze. The flowers of this plant are very similar to bells. Its flower language is a longing sent to a distant place.

Not long after walking in the flower field, Russell saw the graceful figure of the Queen Bee arriving.

”What are you looking for me for?”

The doubts in his heart had been suppressed for several hours. When the real owner appeared, he asked directly.

Facing Russell, who looked cautious, the Queen Bee rarely dropped to the ground, and leaned over to send a spiritual message:
”Please take...my child.”

After saying that, it put its tentacles into the crown on its forehead and carefully took out a golden pet egg.

”This is... a queen bee egg!”

Seeing this obviously extraordinary beast egg, Russell’s expression suddenly became solemn.

Queen bee eggs, as the name suggests, are pet eggs that breed the next generation of queen bees. They are also the first eggs laid by each queen bee after they mature.

This egg contains the purest blood power of the honeypot bee family. The hatched young bee does not need to evolve and is born to be the king of the race.

However, in order to maintain the absolute authority of the queen and prevent the two kings from fighting each other, the current queen bee will passively emit an aura that inhibits the growth of the queen bee eggs. The queen bee eggs will never hatch until she dies.Unexpectedly, this queen bee actually took out the queen bee egg in front of Russell, and even seemed to want to give it to him. This was simply...

Simply earned!

You must know that the queen bee not only has the ability to control the bee swarm, but also has a strong reproductive ability. Even if it is impossible to form such a large number of bees in the honeypot valley in a short period of time, she can raise dozens or hundreds of honeypots. Bees are no problem.

Owning a queen bee is equivalent to owning the entire colony.

Although the Imperial Insect House is not yet able to build a large-scale flower garden, the best option is to directly purchase pollen and let them make honey.

Does this mean that people are walking in the valley of honey pots, and money trees come from the sky?

Russell was so overwhelmed by the sudden happiness that he didn’t respond for a long time, which made the queen bee think that he was unwilling to accept the queen bee egg, so she lowered her stance again.

”My power...take it...”

As another spiritual transmission sounded, Queen Bee lowered her head in front of Russell. A ray of golden energy flowed down its tentacles and slowly touched Russell’s eyebrows.

When this warm golden energy merged into his mind, Russell once again saw a wonderful and hazy halo. The feeling was somewhat similar to when he awakened the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent, but it was clearer and stronger.

”I came into contact with Lord-level insect beasts for the first time. Under the guidance of Queen Bee, the cocoon of evolution underwent subtle changes, and I realized the passive talent: Evolution Aura

Your beast-controlling space energy begins to be released in trace amounts, which can continuously affect the growth process of certain insect-type pets within a certain range, allowing them to slowly optimize their bloodline and energy, and increase the upper limit of their growth.

Current range: 100 meters

Unlocked race: Bee. ”

Unexpectedly, a trip to Honeypot Valley not only yielded a rare queen bee egg, but also upgraded the already powerful ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent. Russell was pleasantly surprised and gained a new understanding of this talent. .

It turns out that the ”Cocoon of Evolution” talent can not only help insect beasts break through the shackles of their bloodline and usher in evolution, but it also has room for evolution itself.

Moreover, it is not difficult to see from the descriptions of unlocked races and scope of effects that the evolution of talents can obviously be carried out many times.

In this way, the Queen Bee’s intention is obvious.

It wants to use the power of the evolutionary halo to enhance the population strength of the next generation of honeypot bees.

Bee beasts with the habit of living in groups often gather in their thousands. Even if the new queen bee does not sign a beast control contract with Russell, as long as she stays by his side, the entire family can slowly be strengthened and have the opportunity to evolve again. .

No matter how slim the chance is, with thousands of individuals superimposed, there is always a possibility of success!
After delivering the golden energy to Russell, the queen bee showed obvious fatigue. She raised the queen egg again, hoping that Russell would take over the future hope of the honeypot bee family.

”Please take my child...away and let it grow...”

The queen bee did this sincerely. Whether it was out of gratitude for her or the huge economic benefits brought by feeding a group of honeypot bees, Russell had no reason to refuse this request.

He raised his hands and solemnly took the queen bee egg, then took off his coat and carefully wrapped it in soft clothing.

After watching quietly for a while, the Queen Bee bowed deeply to him again, confirming that Russell had indeed accepted the Queen Bee’s egg, and then dragged her tired body and disappeared into the night with three turns.

…………

Early the next morning, Russell took the earliest return bus and rushed back to the Imperial Insect House without stopping.
After all, pet eggs are very fragile things. Without the protection of Queen Bee’s crown, Queen Bee’s eggs are likely to be damaged. Being entrusted by others, he must of course protect Queen Bee’s offspring from hatching and growing up smoothly.
