Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 16 Rare SkillsChapter 16 Rare Skills

”Ayou, keep the energy condensed and make sure the scale powder stays in the air for a while!”

It was another afternoon, outside the quiet foggy forest, Russell and Ayou repeated the skill training process that they had conducted hundreds of times.

The part-time job only lasts for a week. He doesn’t know how long it will be before he meets with such an opportunity next time. Thinking that tickets to the training ground sell for tens of thousands of credits, he went all out to conduct special training for Ayou in the past few days. Not once did he return to the safe zone.

Fortunately, Ayou himself is also very competitive. Apart from eating and resting, he trains hard almost all the time, and his skill proficiency increases rapidly.

”UFO Hawkmoth

Ability development: Shadow Clone (not yet understood, dodge proficiency 100%, afterimage maintenance proficiency 81%), Nether Explosion (not yet understood, energy control proficiency 75%).”

Its dodge proficiency had reached full value last night, but it was still lacking in maintaining the afterimage, so today at noon Russell cooked a pot of thick mental replenishing soup, preparing to take down the shadow clone skill in one fell swoop.

After drinking the decoction made from all the remaining magic light grass and warm orange fruits, and combining it with high-intensity training, Ayou’s afterimage proficiency increased at a speed visible to the naked eye.

85...87...99%...100%!

When the two basic abilities associated with the shadow clone met the requirements, Ayou’s figure instantly changed and turned into five blurry shadows.

The shadow clone skill has certain confusing properties, and coupled with the blurring effect brought by the dark scale powder, it is difficult to tell which one of them is the real Ayou from a distance.

call--

Learned!I am handsome!
After mastering the new skill, Ayou seemed particularly happy. It kept releasing its shadow clones, which were not yet very skilled, and shuttled among the balls of thread shot out in the foggy forest. The swishing look made Russell feel a little helpless.

Being so narcissistic, I don’t know who I am following...

”Don’t waste energy, maintain the shadow clone, and then continue to practice energy accumulation!”

Seeing that Ayou was about to burn out the energy in his body, he quickly sent a message to stop it through the spiritual link.

This kind of state of enlightenment is rare. Russell is ready to seize the opportunity and let Ayou understand the Nether Explosion skill in one go.

call--

Great skills, practice!

Hearing Russell mention the Nether Explosion skill, Ayou stopped. It also wanted to learn this powerful output skill that could blow the enemy away with one blow.

Next time you encounter a ferocious black dog, you will definitely blow it over!

Imagining his majestic appearance after mastering the Nether Explosion, Ayou’s wings gathered rich ghost energy, and the aura around him became cold.

For Ayou, simply accumulating energy is very simple. Accumulating energy during ordinary flight requires a high degree of concentration, but it is not difficult at all.

But it is a challenge to accumulate energy while keeping the shadow clone from dissipating.

It tried several times in succession, during which either the energy was out of control and suddenly dissipated before it could accumulate much, or it focused entirely on the energy group, and the shadow clone that lost its maintenance quickly dissipated, leaving itself alone in mid-air.

But Ayou was not discouraged and continued to repeat this process over and over again.

Feeling Ayou’s firm will, Russell’s heart moved and he instinctively raised his hand towards it.

Just like when Ayou was screening the energy in his body for the first time, a few thin milky white threads slowly stretched out from between him, gently brushing Ayou’s body.

Although the accompanying mechanical bird is nearby, Russell is not worried about his secret being revealed.

Because many cultivation talents require energy contact with pet beasts, no one can know the specific effect of the ”Cocoon of Evolution” just by seeing a few energy threads.

”Your pet is releasing its potential. Thanks to the nourishment of the Cocoon of Evolution, it will have a chance to learn rare skills.”

When the silk thread was integrated into Ayou’s body, its energy control proficiency, which had been at 75% just now, began to soar, reaching the full value in the blink of an eye.

Then, several pieces of information flowed back from the thread and entered Russell’s mind.

Pussy Bite: Insect-based attack skill with medium attack power, but with a strong corrosive effect, causing injuries that are difficult to heal.

Dark Night Spell: Guided release, cursing the enemy with strong resentment, continuously inflicting soul pain, and greatly reducing the lethality of its energy-based attack skills.Butterfly Shadow: The insect beast’s exclusive shadow clone mastering skill. In addition to visual interference, it also allows the clone to simulate the energy fluctuations generated when casting skills, making it more confusing.

The information fed back by ”Cocoon of Evolution” is very simple. He can choose any one of these three skills and let Ayou master it.

”This talent skill is really useful. It can accelerate growth and filter energy. Now it also gives you skills!”

After these few days of skill training, Russell deeply felt that it was not easy to master skills. Now that rare skills were delivered to his door, he was naturally so happy that his mouth almost reached the back of his head.

After reading the detailed descriptions of the three skills from beginning to end, Russell decisively chose the ”Butterfly Shadow” skill.

Objectively speaking, these three skills are very powerful, but in comparison, the first two skills are not in line with Ayou’s skill planning route. Dieying, as the upper skill of the shadow clone, can bring it the greatest improvement in strength.

The highlight of the pus and blood bite is to reduce the enemy’s recovery ability, but the skill named ”Bite” can be guessed without much thought that it is a physical melee skill.

Letting Ayou use that soft siphon-type mouthpart to sting someone is no different from beating a dog with a meat bun...

The Dark Night Spell is clearly an auxiliary skill, and requires continuous guidance and release. No other skills can be used during the process. For an energy output player to learn such a skill, it is tantamount to cutting off both arms.

As Russell made his decision, a ghostly black aura was injected into Ayou’s wings along the silk thread, adding a bit of eerie beauty to the already crystal clear and translucent wings.

After doing all this, the threads of the ”Cocoon of Evolution” immediately converged, and Russell suddenly felt that his legs were weak, and he collapsed on the ground as if he had lost all strength.

Using the beast master’s talent requires consuming the physical strength and energy of the beast master. Directly giving Ayou a rare skill is more tiring than running a marathon.

But a certain heartless moth failed to notice the misery of his master.

With the help of the ”Cocoon of Evolution”, Ayou successfully understood Nether Explosion, and unexpectedly learned Butterfly Shadow, which was much more powerful than the shadow clone. Its already excessive self-confidence was now at its peak.

call--

Feeling stronger!
The wings are lighter, so handsome!
Why did his beastmaster fall to the ground? Was he fainted by the handsome man?
Listening to Ayou’s endless narcissistic thoughts through the spiritual link, Russell felt his blood pressure rise.

……

After a while, he finally regained some strength.

Getting up from the grass, Russell weakly walked towards the tent, preparing to pack his bags and return to the NO.13 safe area.

Anyway, the skill training target has been exceeded, and the thread spiders in the foggy forest have also received high-intensity training. There is still more than one day left, so just lie down in the temporary dormitory in the safe zone and have a good rest.

But at this moment, the accompanying mechanical bird suddenly fluttered its wings and flew above his head, and continued to make piercing alarm sounds.

Drip-!
Dididi————!
The soldiers stationed at the trial site specifically stated that such sirens only meant one thing - a wild pet beast was attacking!

Sure enough, the moment the alarm sounded, a swift figure of the same color as the surrounding vegetation suddenly rushed down from an ancient tree.

However, its target was not Russell, but Ayou, who was still chirping in mid-air.

Although Ayou has just mastered powerful skills, its defense is still weak. If it is hit head-on by a wild beast of the same level, it is likely to be severely damaged.

”Ayou, be careful, use Butterfly Shadow!”

At the critical moment, Russell didn’t care about the outrageous behavior of this ”unfilial son” just now, and immediately issued a battle order to it.

After receiving Russell’s anxious instructions, Ayou’s body swayed and easily dispersed into five very realistic phantoms.

Almost at the same time, the green figure crossed the position where it was just now at a speed that was difficult to catch with the naked eye.

Swah——

Along with the sharp sound of breaking through the air, two of the phantoms released by Ayou were immediately shattered. The ambushers cut off several clusters of branches along the way, and finally landed in the open space not far in front of Russell.

Following the direction of the fallen leaves, he saw clearly that it was a large mantis about half a man tall, with a green body and waving a pair of sharp blade arms.
