The meeting had been going on for over an hour.

Tang Rui listened to half of it and forgot the other half.

Because this matter was not really related to him, but it still had a significant impact on the scientific community.

However, there was one thing he was determined to join in on the excitement.

That was the Global Physics Conference and the launch ceremony of the High-Energy Hadron Collider happening in half a month.

After six months of construction, the domestic hadron collider had been completed.

Without this device, hosting a global physics conference would not be impossible, but it would lack something.

Even if you didn’t hold this conference, scientists from other countries would rush to come for this device.

After all, this thing was a godsend for physics.

China’s newly built high-energy hadron collider, whether in terms of power or precision, was much stronger than the European one.

The results of the experiments were naturally incomparable to those of the old collider.

It’s just unknown whether the Higgs boson could be discovered that time.

After the meeting, Tang Rui looked at the time and went straight home to rest.

But no sooner had he arrived home than news came from Mars: many physicists were returning to Earth.

They were coming to attend this physics conference.

“Red Lotus, arrange a spaceship to bring these physicists back,” Tang Rui thought for a moment and agreed to their request.

Of course, this time it was only for them personally.

As for their families, that was out of the question.

They could only wait for another time.

Currently, transportation was tight, so it was really not possible.

TWO days later, Tang Rui was in the biological lab, observing the postoperative reactions of several mice.

These mice had all had cancer and were then cured by nanobots.

Although the items enhanced by the system were definitely functional,

Treating diseases was not a joke.

Even if the nanobots eliminated all cancerous tissues in lymphoma, what might happen afterward was still hard to say.

That’s why he didn’t immediately give the nanobots to his employees for use.

After two days of observation, two of the mice post-surgery indeed had problems.

That was that cancer cells were still being produced in their bodies.

Even though all the cancer cells in their bodies had been eliminated by the nanobots previously, in these two days, their normal cells began to mutate into cancer cells, which was quite troublesome.

“Red Lotus, how did these two mice develop cancer cells in their bodies?” Tang

Rui asked curiously.

With the power of the nanobots, there should be absolutely no residue, so the new cancer cells were not derived from the original ones.

“Master, according to observations, the new cancer cells are all from normal cells mutating during cell division, transforming from normal cells into cancer cells,” Red Lotus replied.

“So, does that mean that even after the nanobots have eliminated all cancer cell’s, they still need to remain inside the patient to continue suppressing cancer cells?”

“Yes, master. If these two mice had nanobots inside them, then the cancer cells would be destroyed as soon as they formed.”

“Then without your controlled nanobots, can cancer cells be automatically destroyed?”

“Yes, master. The upgraded nanobots you created have an autonomous recognition function. They can automatically clear cancer cells and also autonomously repair damaged organs in the body.”

After hearing this, Tang Rui felt a bit helpless. His original idea was to use nanobots to treat patients directly, just like surgery, simply eliminating the cancer cells.

This way, 10 million units of nanobots could treat dozens of patients in one

day.

But if it’s like what Red Lotus said, having to keep nanobots inside the patient, then this treatment method would not be affordable for ordinary people.

Of course, not everyone needs to keep nanobots inside their bodies, but patients in the late stages or with metastasis definitely need to.

For early and middle stages, it should still be okay.

“Red Lotus, prepare an injection of 50 million units of nanobots, along with a syringe and instructions, and give them to that employee,” Tang Rui thought for a moment and said to Red Lotus.

There was no need to consider too much for their own employees.

Directly 50 million units.

Guaranteed to save the person, and these nanobots would also repair the damaged organs of the elderly, enhance bodily functions, and suppress the formation of cancer cells.

After arranging this, he looked at the cyber mice next to him.

These cyber mice were different from those that had been treated. They all lay quietly in their cages, motionless.

All of them were like statues.

In these two days, Red Lotus was continuously performing nano-modifications on these mice, but the results were not ideal.

Using nanobots to repair organ damage was no problem.

But using nanobots to replace organs was problematic.

Even if nanobots could solve the problem of organ rejection, the mice would be affected if the organs were completely replaced. The more organs that were replaced, the greater the impact.

After complete replacement, the mice would become completely vegetative. According to the results of Red Lotus’s continuous experiments and analysis, once the organs were replaced by nanobots, the mice’s brains would autonomously consider these organs dead.

It was amazing.

Even though these organs were still working and functioning normally, the mice’s brains would think the organs were gone.

And the brain would no longer regulate and command these organs.

The function of these organs would be judged by the brain as non-existent, and then it would start to strain other organs to compensate for the impact of the loss of these organs.

For example, if a mouse had two kidneys and one is replaced by nanobots, then the mouse’s brain would strain the other kidney to take on more work.

Even then, when the nanobot-composed kidney is still working diligently, the mouse’s brain would act as if it cannot see it.

Even if Red Lotus tried to use neural connection technology to feed normal signals back to the brain from the nanobots, it was still useless.

It was as if the brain had a recognition system.

Able to completely distinguish between real and fake organ signals.

This was something Tang Rui hadn’t expected.

And so far, it was still unclear.

As for using nanobots to replace a mouse’s brain, it was completely useless.

Any replacement of the mouse’s brain,

Even if the mouse was still alive, it would still be vegetative.

Without any self-awareness, even if stimulated by the external environment, there would be no reaction.

Facing this situation, Tang Rui even thought about going to Africa to establish a base to study life science problems.

But he thought better of it.

The brain, this forbidden zone of life, is better not to be rushed into researching. Even if some results are researched, it would be easy to turn into various evil paths when applied..
