Attracting Earthly Fire

Upon hearing the report from Red Lotus, Tang Rui’s first reaction was that the undersea passage on the Korean side was about to be opened.

He hurriedly asked Red Lotus to display the situation of the seabed.

Sure enough, the passage had been greatly expanded, and even the previously collapsed rubble and debris had been cleared away.

Upon learning this news, he had no more time to play with the little furball and immediately got up to go back.

Due to his excitement, While leaving, he even took Little Dumpling’s bamboo shoot by mistake, leaving the little one dumbfounded on the ground.

Yingyingying…

Little Dumpling cried out, but it did not bring Tang Rui back; instead, he sped up his departure.

When Tang Rui returned to the Lan family’s command center, he realized he had been holding the bamboo shoot the whole time.

“Red Lotus, display the situation of those three submarines and the Korean undersea passage.”

Tang Rui threw the bamboo shoot away and sat down in his chair.

“Okay, Master.”

Shua!

Two projection screens appeared.

On the left screen, three Ohio-class strategic nuclear submarines were advancing in the deep sea.

The right screen showed the situation of the Korean undersea passage.

The whole passage had basically been opened, and the final finishing and preparation work was underway.

As for why no one went down, it was because their “father” hadn’t arrived yet, so they couldn’t send people.

“Red Lotus, any news from their satellite network about when they’ll go down for exploration?”

“Master, the order from the American side is to have all the Koreans stay on the drilling platform, not allowed to enter the seabed. They must wait until their arrival before sending people down.”

“When will the three nuclear submarines arrive?”

“Master, they are expected to arrive the day after tomorrow morning.”

The day after tomorrow?

It’d be Christmas Day.

The timing was quite good, coinciding with Christmas.

“Red Lotus, start the mountain-top nuclear fusion reactor, activate the magnetic field control system, and begin charging the magnetic field in that sea area.”

“Okay, Master, the reactor is started, energy output at 75%, charging the sea area’s magnetic field.”

Tang Rui nodded after hearing this. Three days was enough time.

In fact, the whole device didn’t need to charge the target location in advance.

After all, even the energy output of a nuclear fusion reactor, compared to nature, was minimal.

If it needed pre-charging to start, that would be useless.

Normal operation required direct positioning, and the device would manipulate the Earth’s magnetic field and the force of positive and negative electrons to create a huge thunderstorm area.

But if you wanted to pre-charge, it was also possible.

The more energy that accumulates there in advance, the greater the force the device can manipulate when it starts.

As Brother Mark (the protagonist from the movie “A Better Tomorrow”) said, the money hadn’t disappeared; it was just accompanying you in a different way.

This saying also applied here.

Energy hadn’t disappeared; it was just pervading the world in a different form.

With the start of the device.

The huge energy from the nuclear fusion reactor, through the device, was injected into the Earth’s magnetic field and gathered in that sea area.

Once the energy began to gather.

The more sensitive animals on the seabed began to flee desperately, swimming crazily out of the area.

The less sensitive ones continued hunting on the seabed.

But the less sensitive ones were in the minority.

Even the shrimp knew something big was about to happen.

Most animals, especially those like turtles that can sense magnetic fields, are very sensitive to such changes.

Such drastic changes are like someone pouring gasoline into your house right in front of you.

Anyone who isn’t blind would see it.

However, this change was not discovered because the sea area had already been blocked by the Koreans.

Without fishing boats, and the drilling platform not caring about changes in the fish population, they wouldn’t waste their efforts on this.

In a blink of an eye, three days passed.

The three Ohio-class strategic nuclear submarines had arrived in the Korean sea area, patrolling 50 meters above the undersea passage.

On the drilling platform at the sea surface.

A special cylindrical submarine was hanging from the crane.

“Ike, you’re the best, keep it up!”

A high-ranking military official from the American side encouraged the elite who was about to drive the submarine to explore the alien spaceship at the bottom of the sea.

“Mission assurance.”

“Okay, let’s go.”

After saluting, Ike entered the special submarine through the round hatch on top and closed the hatch.

Then, he gestured an OK sign to everyone inside.

“Lower the submarine.”

The crane’s rope began to slowly lower.

Soon, the special submarine entered the water and slowly headed towards the passage, guided by the rope.

Calling it a deep-water submarine was a bit of a misnomer; it was more like an underwater elevator that could withstand 5,000 meters of water pressure.

It had no power of its own, with oxygen and electricity supplied through a pipeline from the drilling platform above.

Any problem with the pipeline would mean the end for those inside.

But at this moment, no one cared about this issue; they were all staring at the monitors, wanting to see what the alien spaceship looked like.

At the same time, Tang Rui also sat inside the Blue Army’s command center, watching the holographic projection screen in front of him, which also showed the special submarine diving.

“President Tang, what’s happening?”

Han Shu was confused when he saw the special submarine and the three Ohio-class strategic nuclear submarines.

“Wait and you’ll see, don’t rush.”

After Tang Rui spoke, he suddenly thought of something and immediately called the military’s special department.

“President Tang, what’s the matter?”

“Have our people arranged on the Korean drilling platform been evacuated?”

“They were evacuated a long time ago. Later, the Koreans tightened security, and with the Americans there, our people couldn’t get in. President Tang, are you asking about this because there’s something special?”

“No, just that the Americans are starting to move, and I was worried about friendly fire, so I made a special call to check.”

“Friendly fire? What are you going to do, President Tang?”

“Not much, I just calculated that they have a calamity coming, waiting for a thunder strike from heaven.”

“Are you monitoring the situation over there?”

“Yes, watching it live.”

“Can you send a link?”

Five minutes later, someone squeezed into the secure network, the big shot from the special department, who watched the holographic projection with interest.

“President Tang, how much for this device?”

“It’s not for sale, but I can give you a few sets. If you want to buy in bulk, forget it.

There are private manufacturers and research institutes working on this, and they’ve already developed laser interference and non-medium imaging.”

Tang Rui had no intention of bringing holographic projection to the market.

If he wanted to make money, every tech company would go bankrupt.

So, for devices and technologies not under embargo, he wouldn’t put them on the market, at most using them in the military field, and even then, not much.

“I see… then thank you, President Tang. We do need a few sets of this equipment.”

“Alright, send someone to pick it up tomorrow.”

As the two chatted, the special submarine had reached the bottom of the passage, the location of the alien spaceship.

Tang Rui and his team knew what the so-called alien spaceship was all about, so they weren’t excited at all.

“President Tang, you said you made some small modifications to the model. Did you install a bomb?”

“Yes, the blue patterns on the model’s surface are high-energy battery solutions. Once broken, they’ll explode.”

“Not bad. How powerful is the explosion?”

“Not very powerful, since it’s too close to our home. I was afraid that if it’s too powerful, it would damage our own property, so I didn’t make it too big.” “How much exactly?”

“About equivalent to 20,000 tons of TNT.”

“But President Tang, you said they were going to be struck by lightning?”

“Yes, they are going to be struck by lightning… ah…”

Tang Rui paused mid-sentence, suddenly stunned..
